Such a hole in the wall place to get best momos in all of Georgia!! It is a quiet restaurant inside the Ace Hardware plaza on Lawerenceville highway in Tucker. They have ample of parking and are visible from regular traffic. This restaurant was recommended by another Nepalese business to me, the owner is a kind and generous person. The food is bomb!! Their momos and chowmein are must try. They have vegetarian, pescatarian and non vegetarian options with a wide variety of local and Nepalese beers. Great for dining alone, with a group or family. They also offer take out through major delivery apps. Definitely coming back for more. Everest Gorkhali Kitchen is hands down one of our favorite spots for incredible Nepali and Indian cuisine! Every visit has been a delight, whether it's just my wife and me enjoying a quiet meal or a full table of fifteen hungry, loud friends. No matter the crowd, the service is consistently warm, attentive, and welcoming--a rare and wonderful thing. The food? Absolutely outstanding. The Veggie Samosas are crisp and flavorful, the Sag Paneer is comfort food, and the Chicken Korma is smooth--rich with flavor. I think you're going to like the momo. Momo (a.k.a. "dumplings") are slightly different from the dumplings you'll find in any Chinese restaurant. I like the Veggie Momo and the Chicken Momo. But my friends have raved about the Jhol Momo, which I think is any variety of momo swimming in a fragrant, spicy broth. I may have to try this next time. If I had one small complaint, it's that they don't make their own naan. But honestly, with food this good, it's easy to overlook. Yummy and spicy! That is all I have to say. Everest Gorkhali Kitchen is a Nepalese restaurant that is like a mom and pop shop. It is definitely a hole in the wall, but it is so delicious! The space inside is small and simply decorated, and the service was quick. This was my first time eating Nepalese food and I am very pleased. My friend and I ordered the Wai-Wai Sadako, Chili Momo, Chicken Makhani, Mango Lassi, and Garlic Naan. The Wai-Wai Sadako was a really tasty appetizer. It was kind of like broken dry ramen with various vegetables and spices. I will say that this was a really spicy dish and I have a good spice tolerance level. But I think it was worth the pain. The Chili Momo had a nice flavor on the outside, but I am not a fan of dumplings so it was my least favorite dish. My friend liked it, though! I loved the Chicken Makhani, which kind of tasted like chicken tikka masala but sweeter. It paired well with the Garlic Naan, which I thought could be more garlicky. The restaurant also gave us a free appetizer dish which tasted like fried shrimp chips with extra seasoning. I also got the Mango Lassi and it tasted great. Overall, I recommend this place for anyone nearby or anyone who wants an introduction to Nepalese food (they also have Thai and Chinese food on their menu). read more

We came out of our way to try this as we wanted true Nepalese food and there's not many options in Atlanta. There's Indian, Chinese and Thai also on the menu. We tried the most unique things. We loved the chicken chili momo- the flavor was great and 10 came with the order. We also got a soup with noodles. While a big portion it was more bland / typical in taste - nothing too unique or crazy. We'd get this again if we were in the area for the momo but not go out of our way. I've given this restaurant a very good review (5 stars, I think) in the past. This 2-star review pertains only to the meal I had tonight. I like to try new things. Tonight I ordered pork secuwa from the "Nepali specials" portion of the menu. Ok, it was deliciously seasoned. My problem was that the "pork" was well over 50% fat; many of the chunks were nothing but pork fat. I threw most of it away because I want to eat lean pork meat, not pure fat. The dish was not good in spite of the excellent flavor. I would not order again. This may be the way the dish is eaten in Nepal, but it didn't suit my American taste. If it sounds good to you, by all means order it. I'm just giving a warning. Oh, and I assumed it would come with rice; it did not. I guess maybe it is considered an appetizer instead of a main dish. I just added this business on Yelp. It has been on Google for a while and has a website. It's in the old Tum Yum Thai restaurant, and the Yum Yum sign is still there so it can be confusing. The owner is working with the City of Tucker to change the sign. The Chili momo (chicken and pork) and thukpa (Nepalese soup also chicken and pork versions) are amazing! Cheap, good eats here. I know the chicken 65, chow mein, steamed and fried momo, and chili chicken are also popular. It is a matter of personal taste to be honest, but I like the pork dishes better. Beware the pork choila can be pretty spicy! When the owner asks if you want spicy, he means spicy for some dishes for sure. So, I stick to spicy for anything momo and medium for other dishes. I have mainly done to-go, but I know some instagram influencers have tried the thali (multiple sampling portions of items) and other dishes that are probably best for in-person. Great new small business with authentic Nepalese food! Looking forward to trying the Jhol momo (momo in soup) and other things soon! read more

I came here with my husband and toddler for dinner after we got a recommendation from a friend. We ordered the chicken tikka masala and the paneer masala with garlic naan. The food was so tasty and hot and flavorful! It had a good spice to it without it being overbearing. Definitely will come back again to try other foods! We had lamb and goat thakali thaali. It took a while to get these ready. But, both the goat and lamb were spot on. No complain on the portion. Presentation was great. The only complain I have is bottled pickle in the thakali thaali. Other than that, this place deserves 5 star. read more

I really liked Yum Yum and was sad when it closed. They had great pad thai. We ordered veggie pad thai, spring rolls and pakora. The pakora was onion and was fried crispy to perfection and light and fluffy. So fluffy that I called to confirm it was gluten free. They assured me it is only chickpea flour (not suitable for celiacs - I assume it is a shared fryer). Those who ate the spring rolls said they were delicious. The pad thai was the weak link. If I had only ordered that, my review would be a 3 star.. It is lacking the complexity of pad thai. It's overly sweet and doesn't have the umami I expected. The tofu is cut very small, so the pieces are quite hard once they are fried (or possibly over fried). One of us who tried it said "It would be ok if it was a noodle dish, but it's not good pad thai" which pretty much sums it up. The noodles were well cooked. Disappointed to lose a good pad thai place so close, but perhaps their other dishes are better. Service was great - they were nice. We called it in, waited 20 minutes and then waited about 10 minutes at the restaurant. read more
