What can I say? The Aquasox hits it out of the ballpark. Here are my comments on Nextdoor. They are so true. How lucky are we to have such a great organization in our own backyard? Go To A Game! You will thank me! Spoiler Alert: This is a happy post. Last Christmas I purchased a five-game package for our family with the AquaSox. Yesterday was the first game we could attend; we were out of town for the first one. I knew this. I had planned on stopping by to pick up the tickets...every intention I might add... And yet I completely forgot. So, here we were at around 3:30 yesterday with no tickets. I emailed Chad, the account manager assigned to me with absolutely no assumption of actually getting the tickets in time for the game. Mind you, these are not expensive tickets. We are not sponsors or anyone important. I believe we would refer to this as a "Hail Mary" move but I had to try. Approximately seven minutes after I sent the email, on a Saturday, on game day, Chad responded. Not only did he respond, BUT HE ALSO HANDLED MY PROBLEM! Tickets were waiting for us, along with the hats and such, that came with the package. HOW COOL IS THAT? Chad, darling, you, and the AquaSox, are our heroes! read more

I haven't been to an aquasox game in over 10 years, and this was just as good as I remember! Every seat has a great view of the field, and you can easily see the players. Parking at the north and south lot are free. This might fill up faster on fuller games. Being that this was the last game of the season, there was at least 20 spots open at the north field 30 min before game start. Food was cheap compared to the mariners game...$5.50 for nachos, kids meal includes hot dog, chips and a drink for $7.50, Popcorn $5. They also had inflatable that my kids loved and kept them occupied during some of the innings. Again, I'm not sure if this is a regular thing. They also had way more audience engagement than mariner games. This will be our go-to place for baseball games. read more

I grew up going to Mariner's games and have gone to many Rainier's games. I just went to an Aquasox game for the first time. I had tons of fun! The parking lot has free parking, but it's small. I got there an hour before a game on a Sunday and there was lots of parking left. The other side of the stadium had parking for $6. The area when you enter the gates had tons of stuff to do. There were a bunch of booths and good photo opportunities. The game had lots of fan interaction. There were so many fun things they had us doing. I purchased a deal that had food and coupons with it. It was a great deal and I will look for something like it when I go again. read more

Minor-league sports are an unbelievable bang for the buck for local sports fans. If you want to go see the Silvertips, you can get a season ticket in a great seat for about what you'd spend for 3 so-so tickets to see the Canucks ONCE. Similar with the Frogs--you can get season tickets behind home plate for about the cost of 3 tickets behind home plate at Safeco Field. Or, you can come to one game and sit behind home plate for $16. There's not much to the place here--the stadium is two banks of bleachers, made out of concrete, with a couple simple staircases and some chain-link fence woven in here and there. There's webbing to protect you from foul balls, of course, but the list of amenities gets pretty short after you cover the basics--concession stand, souvenir stand, couple bathrooms. Boom, done. Parking is free, though. At Safeco, parking your truck costs more than it does to sit behind home plate here. They send the nicest kids (roughly late-college/young alumni age) out to take your beer and hot dog orders, and they have garlic fries at the concession stand behind the 3rd base bleachers. They bring you your beer and you sign your credit card slip. During the 6th inning, they have $2 milk and cookies. But ONLY during the 6th inning, so look sharp about it. The quality of play ranges from guys who look like they're still in high school to guys who are obviously going to be gunning for a major-league job...someday, when they get a little more experience. The vibe is very much milk and cookies. Nice kids come around and clean up the stands after the game. They give t-shirts to the loudest fans (almost always kids). They run promotional "fielding contests" ON THE FIELD between innings, always with little kids showing their stuff with the glove. This is cheap, wholesome, small-town Americana showing you its beating heart, essentially unchanged by the winds of time for generations. If your great-grandpa liked to give the ump a hard time, he probably used the same jokes the kid next to use is using tonight. I love minor-league baseball, and, best of all, I can get a huge fix of it for not much more than the cost of a movie. Dig it here. read more

Now this is baseball. A short season A league team for the M's, this is what dreams are made of. Housed in the Everett Memorial Stadium, this place and team ownership, ROCKS!!! You gotta stay awake and watch the game, being this close to the field!!! HEAD'S UP!!! Get this the most expensive ticket is $15!!! And those are located behind home plate, yeah baby!!! Wahhhoooo!! A premium season ticket is a great deal at $375 a seat!!! That's what it costs me just to take my family of 5 total, to see the M's play at Safeco. Ownership hosts plenty of give-a-ways, many for just the kiddos, even some for the beer-set. I've enjoyed each and every game we've attended over the last several years, ever since the big club tickets got overly priced, and that includes the beer! Prices are hard to beat food-wise, a side note you can't bring anything to eat or drink into the park with you. But with everything priced right and tasty who cares! If memory serves the General Admission "family" area allows families to bring in coolers of food, don't quote me on that... We actually feel safe enough to let our kiddos walk around the park and partake in the on-field singing of "Take me out to the ball game" during the 7th inning stretch. That's how home-spun this place feels. Not sure if they still do this program for the kiddos but they use to hand out trash bags and have the kiddos return them filled so they can get discount "dollars" for food and drink at the stadium. Cute idea and promotes good environmental clean up! The season starts in mid-June and goes until early September. Well worth the time to drive up or down to Everett to enjoy this jewel of a "home made" team and stadium. We try to attend the Hawaiian theme nights, it's great when a better part of the crowd and all of the staff show up in Aloha shirts. Specialty foods are usually served that night as well as Hula entertainment! Oh and there are PLENTY of discount ticket promotions, most run M-Th, during the season all sponsored by mostly local businesses, this really adds to the homey feeling to this club. I can't wait to hear, "PLAY BALL!" Get this, you actually can hear the Ump say that when you sit in the good seats, that's how close you are to the field!! read more

Finally went to my first Aquasox game last weekend and had a total blast. Good comfy seats just up the third base line were a bargain, and a great vantage point to watch the Aquasox spank Boise. Fun fan contests between innings gave it that great small town atmosphere, but because this is Everett, there was also great local color, along the lines of a rough-looking woman calling some dude, and I quote, an "asswipe" for bumping her and making her spill some beer. Awesome. I really want to see a player cash in on the outfield scoreboard sign that says "hit the sign and win a suit!" Another sign in the outfield is an add for "overhead doors." What the hell is an overhead door, and if it's overhead, how do you go through it? Everett knocked a couple of big home runs and won the game handily. Boise not only lost on the field, but they also lost in the aesthetic department; their uniforms were heinous (shiny but wrinkly charcoal grey with orange and green trim...???) and those poor guys must have been roasting in the hot sun. If we were judging only the baseball experience - I'd give 4 or 5 stars. But what's the other part of going to the baseball games? Peanuts, Cracker Jacks, Hot Dogs and Beers! Of course, it's not literally that cut and dry, but it is an important element to consider with regard to how enjoyable the game was. I can't imagine that a middle-class or slightly lower income family of four can get out of there for under $100 - if that is the case - might as well go to a Mariners game and see the real thing. First - positives - - The baseball is fantastic! - The mascot is a lot of fun for the kids - The seating is excellent - Free parking was a pleasant surprise The negatives - - The food prices are as high or higher than Safeco Field - Hot dogs for $4.50, popcorn is $5. - Beer is $8. Enough said. - Coffee and hot chocolate is $3.50 and for the coffee, there is only powdered packet creamers - both coffee and hot chocolate are served from giant dispensers - no way that coffee is fresh. Lame. If I were to get sodas, snacks, and a hot dog for the kids, and a couple beers and hot dogs for the parents - I'd easily be in for $60 for subpar carnival food. For Everett and the fact we're watching A baseball - this is unbelievable. Message to Aquasox management: The reason your stadium is 1/4 full is not the quality of the event - it's everything else... get a clue and your stadium will get more visitors! read more

I worked here for two straight summers in college to make a little extra money and absolutely loved it. Aquasox baseball is truly the best way to see the sport live. Seats are inexpensive and surprisingly close to the action. Since the most expensive ticket available is only $15, it is easily affordable to take your entire family to a game. Mini game plans are also an excellent way to see several games in a season. There are numerous giveaways throughout the season, as well as countless contests during each game. This means there's always a chance to come away with something extra, which makes the game even more exciting. Even though there is often high turnover on the seasonal summer positions and even though the overwhelming majority of these employees are high schoolers, they treat each employee with a great deal of respect. In turn, the employees are very friendly and happy to be working at the stadium. I very much enjoyed my time working there and am hoping to make it out for a couple games this summer, since I definitely miss the ballpark. I highly recommend seeing an Aquasox game. After you visit once, you'll surely be back - it's that fun :) read more

We like to go to watch the Minor League clubs play when every we visit a minor league city. Everett is one of those. The "Aquasox," or "Frogs" is a AA Affiliate of the Seattle Mariners. In fact, Ken Griffey, Jr. hit his first professional home run as an Aquasox player, and the spot where the ball landed is marked on the sidewalk outside the stadium where it landed. This is very much like any other AA park, but there are some things to note. For one thing the park is very, very small. Another is that it seems like the park is on the main street, but it's not. The entrance is back off the main street two blocks or so. It is so the field can face the required northeast direction. Also note that you can get good, "behind home plate," seats for not very much, but be careful. We sat in the sixth row, (Row F, I believe), and on the end in seats 11 and 12, or 12 and 13. I thought they would be good seats, but they sucked. The seats sucked because the usher assigned to keep people out of the "good seats" who didn't belong there was standing almost right in front of us, and blocking our view of 1/3 of the field from about right center all the way to the foul line. If that weren't enough, the people here never sit down, and the main stairway to the concession was right next to us. So, between the usher, people walking in front of us, and people walking beside us, it was difficult to enjoy the game. We paid extra for good seats, but the people who paid half as much, and sat a row to our right actually had a better view of the game. It seems the locals know this two, and that's why these "great" seats were available - nobody wanted them, and nobody but us "out of towners" was dumb enough to buy them. Actually, however, when we got to watch the game, it was pretty well played. The umpires were very good. They were consistent, they knew the rules, and they knew their mechanics. They also knew how to handle frustrated batters who didn't know the strike zone, and became upset because the umpire called the outside pitches. The umpire was fair, equal and balanced. It's not his fault if those guys made it all the way to AA without learning what is, and what isn't a strike. The Aquasox players were overmanned in this game, and the Spokane Indians seemed to be a much better team in every aspect of the game. I think the Indians may have been one of the most complete, AA teams I've seen in recent years. So, go, watch the game, but don't pay for the seats we did. I feel like game management ripped us off, and they rip off everyone who buys those same seats. If they were honest, and they really wanted to sell those seats, they'd knock about 1/4 off the price of those seats. read more

Gameday ticket purchase line took forever to get through and the General Admission bleacher seats were really uncomfortable, so avoid them if you've got a bad back. All seats have a pretty good view of the field but the seating is all uncovered so make sure it's good weather out. Snacks are Safeco Field priced and NO Fountain drinks ($3.50 for a 20 0z Coke). I'm not sure if it was just the day we went or if it's always so, but they had a little area for kids with those big blow up jumper things (I believe you have to pay though). There is also a large field area for kids to run around in or throw around a ball if they need to stretch. They throw shirts out and have a lot of crowd participation going on throughout the game which was fun. read more

Nice little stadium where every seat is pretty much a good one including the general admission seats. Love the ticket prices. This is the perfect way to introduce young kids to the sport of baseball because of the low ticket price and ability to sit close to the field and have a good look at the game. They have many fun goofy events in between the innings to keep to kiddies engaged. Easy to get to and parking is usually good too. Disappointed by the raised prices on the food though. read more

If you are from Everett, you have to go to at least one game. It's fun because you are closer to the game and you can get a seat in front of home plate for 15 bucks! The food is OK, they ran out of pretzels last time. The food is pricey but, you are paying for the atmosphere. If you are looking to save walk to get your food don't make the attendants get it if you are in diamond club. If you bring kids there is a big field for them to play catch in so make sure to bring their ball and glove. It is unsupervised so do write their name and # on their glove so if they lose it they can get it back at the next game. Also if your kids want to get a foul ball the bleachers are the best spot. read more

Been attending Aquasox games since 1998 at Everett Memorial Stadium and every ounce of the baseball experience is more than worth the price of the ticket. Free parking, inexpensive tickets, great sidelines, Tom Lafferty, Pat Dillon, and plenty of foul balls to chase. Promos and game activities are down a tad (due to the economy), but it still feels like Americana when you're there. Pat's a great guy to listen to on 1380 KRKO if you want to revisit those olden days of baseball on the transistor radio! Concessions have grown ridiculous over the years, $7.00 for a 16 ounce Miller Lite, $2.50 for a licorice, etc., so fill up on pizza and beer over at Brooklyn Brothers and then head over a catch an awesome baseball game! read more

The Everett Aquasox are the Single A affiliate of the Seattle Mariners. Many of the current MLB players have passed through Everett Memorial Field. The Frogs (as they are called) are the 2013 NorthWest League 1st Half Champions and last won the NWL in 2010. Everett is also the home of the NWL All Star Game 2013. A great minor league experience! Everyone from the ticket takers, ushers, concession stands to the Frog Crew (the promotions team), they are all about making this a great time. The seats are close no matter where you sit. A hot dog, bag of chips and 20 oz bottle of soda for $8.50! Watching kids participate in the mid-inning games was a lot of fun as well. read more

Took the family to a exhibition game last night. Everett Aquasox vs Everett Merchants. The game was not too eventful and the ballpark was nearly empty. We had kids from Ages 12 to 3 and there was great fun for all. The kids were invited to run on the field with the home players for the playing of the National Anthem and to sing "take me out to the ball game". The home team (Aquasox) players were giving high-fives and fist bumps to the kids from the dugout that made them feel super cool. The south end of the stadium offered bouncy-houses for the littler ones and were reasonably priced. The concessions were full service and prices were what you would expect at a ballpark. A little secret though, the north (small) concession has a chicken basket - 3 substantially sized chicken strips, a generous portion of delicious fries and a drink - that is not offered at the south stands. They use soybean oil, so peanut allergy friendly. The park offered Bingo as an interactive activity and were giving away t-shirts and gift certificates throughout the game. Before the game started, we (in general admission) were offered seats behind home plate - a pretty standard practice at this ball field. We declined due to the size of our group, but were thankful for the offer. As kids who are asked to sit for upwards of 4 hours, they became more into socializing and running around rather than watching the game, and on those metal bleachers, they were quite noisy. I was disappointed that the kids in our group (the only ones in the ballpark) got a talking to by one of the "frog squad" folks. So I would suggest that you only bring children that can sit in one place for long periods of time (none that I know), that are highly invested in watching the game, and who don't make a lot of noise. It's sad because when I was a kid, it was part of the past time to run around the ball field with friends, making memories. And as long as nobody was fighting we were free to run wild while the adults watched the game. Times sure have changed and I likely won't be going back to this ballpark with any kids, which is a shame since it's clear that the seats could use some filling. read more

Everyone loves the Aquasox. We had a 10-game pack this year and really enjoyed sitting in the same neats, near the same nice people, numerous times. Here are a few ways to have the best experience possible: 1) Get a "Power pack" of 10 or 16 games. The ticket prices savings are significant and the ticket exchange program is great. You can make a "straight trade" of future-game tickets for any others, allowing you to build a package of whichever 10/16 games you want if you're dogged enough. Also, if you wake up on game day and the weather is crappy, you can trade in tickets to past games for GA tickets in the future. 2) Go out the back way. Post-game, there will be a long line of cars heading out to Broadway. You can cut out the back exit up the hill, take two rights, and be aimed right at the freeway. 3) Check your parking options. Never pay for parking. If you arrive and there's a long line of cars waiting to park, look for a spot on Broadway. This worked like a charm for us more than once. You do have to walk a short ways but it's nicer than sitting in the car. 4) If you're buying or exchanging game-day tickets, get there early as the lines get long and always move slowly for some reason. 5) If you're headed for the lawn area in right field, bring a hat or sunglasses and make sure to find a spot where the top of the wall doesn't block your view. The back of the section is best but will fill up quickly. 6) Get online. There is a frequently-updated Facebook page and a lot of funny videos on YouTube. You can really become a fan beyond just going to individual games. 7) Consider the Swift Bus. A pretty fast way to get to and from the game, and you get to avoid the freeway during rush hour. Get off at 40th/41st. Just know that you have to walk down to Broadway and around, or locate the hard-to-find opening to the back exit. Gates will be closed in annoying places, blocking the most direct route. 8) Check the promotional calendar. Some of them are pretty sweet. I really enjoyed the Led Zeppelin tribute band that played on one Tasty Thursday and the post-game showing of The Sandlot. Above all...just give it a try! read more

These games are a HOOT!! My son got to sing Take Me out to the Ballgame" On the field, it made me wish I was 5 again so I could go sing. We love to go to the Bark in the Park day so our dog can get out and watch a game. Prices are reasonable, on a couple occasions, we got in free wich was a better deal. I am one of those saps that remember when my Dad took me to ballgames and I in turn share that bit of magic with my son. read more

This may be short season A level baseball, but don't believe for one minute that these guys aren't playing their hearts out! Players at this level have great enthusiasm and are excited to be playing pro ball. They appreciate the fans and come to win. Ticket prices are fair, the ballpark employees are extremely friendly and the food options are some of the best I've seen at any ballpark anywhere. Last weekend my wife and I caught an Aquasox game for something different than we usually do. We got there right before the game started and were initially a little bummed that the "good" seats were all sold out so we purchased two bleachers seats in the highest level on the first base side. Even those "bad" seats were amazing. They were really close to the field and at a good elevation that allowed us to easily see all of the action that was going on. The worst part of the seating set up is that there are no covered seats in the entire stadium so you are completely at the mercy of the day's weather. But besides that minor gripe, there are truly no bad seats in the stadium. Ticket prices were great as well. Our tickets were $11 each. Had we gotten to the stadium earlier and gotten the best seats in the park, the price would have been only $5 dollars more per ticket or $16 each. Food prices were inflated but that is to be expected at any sporting event. Then there was the baseball. This is a single A club, so at times the play is a little sloppy but overall the game was competitive and quite fun to watch. Between each inning the organization had activities going on to keep the crowd engaged while the players traded sides. These activities were your standard stadium fare; things like base running races between kids, dance competitions, t-shirt giveaways, etc. Everything in the stadium is very family friendly and the festivities between the innings never slowed the pace of the game down. If you're a baseball fan and don't mind minor league ball then the AquaSox games come highly recommended. Although, she isn't a fan of baseball, I'm sure my wife and I will be going to more games in the future. read more

We went to our 1st game last night. It was really a lot of fun. I love the atmosphere here. The mascot is a lot of fun for the little ones. I think that this was a good way to start my 3 year old to baseball. Cheap seats that were close? Yes please. The food, is subpar, but really, this is baseball not the Met. I thought the prices were reasonable, you sure pay more at a Seahawks game. We will be back for sure! read more
