Although it takes a while for my son and I to get our "special" shoes, the staff takes great care to make sure we are comfortable with our choices. Many of our shoes can repaired over time as well. We also have our orthotics made and maintained there. I was into my 40's before I could find women's shoes that fit, thanks to Althea. My wife purchased me a new rod and reel as a gift from Johns Sporting Goods 5 days prior to them having a discounted price on the reel purchased. I'm going on a 3 day fishing trip so I planned on dropping in and buying gear for the trip and see if they would be able to price match their special and just get a credit to spend there. The rep immediately and in a very rude way said "nope not doing it not a chance". Now as a new customer and looking to spend way more then the difference and going forward you would think they have a better way to go about things. So while their selection is pretty good (only reason for 2 stars) the customer service is horrible and they have not only lost a customer, but I will be telling others in the fishing community about my experience and what to expect when shopping with John's Sporting Goods.

My big issue is that they only had a handful of items that were actually down, most things were 100% polyester fill but priced like they were down.
