I bought a pre-owned vehicle from this dealership on January 16, 2026 and I signed up for the extended warranties. Upon reviewing paperwork the next day, I decided to cancel the warranties and informed the finance associate, Jesus, who I had worked with, about this. I have made several calls and they would tell me it takes a few weeks, BUT NOW IT IS TWO MONTHS. Now it is March 14, 2026 and I still have not gotten the warranties off my loan. I spoke with Lauren Bowman on March 5, 2026, who told me she would be cutting a check back to the finance company that day or the next. I just called finance company today and they still have not received the check. This is not reputable to hold my warranty funds FOR TWO MONTHS and counting. BEWARE and don't purchase warranties at this dealership. I finally got my warranty funds returned, EXCEPT for the Appearance Shield, which NO ONE TOLD ME WAS NOT REFUNDABLE in my two months of dealing with this dealership. I found out when I finally got the funds returned that that one warranty was missing, and had to CALL TO FIND OUT WHY THAT WAS NOT RETURNED. Unreal. BEWARE. I was contacted today, March 23, from the dealership. They have offered to refund me the Appearance Shield funds for the warranty and let me keep it in light of the 8 weeks of dealing with the cancellation of the other 3 warranties. read more

Terrible dealer, never again will I buy a GMC my warranty ran out November 2025 the truck software hasn't been updated since 2023. Recently I found an issue that I've read that could possibly be fixed with one of the software updates that came out last year. Dealer wants me to pay for the update. I could not have been more pleased with Michael Lund. The problem lies with missing the carpet floor mats. The rubber mats were in place, but the carpet mats were missing. When I asked Michael about them he said your sales manager refused to replace them. You quoted me $300.00 for a set of mats. I asked about selling them to me at a dealer cost. I was told no. After meeting with Jake and seeing that there wasn't an Escalade on the lot that fit our needs we decided to order the truck we wanted. After designing it we called to have the truck ordered. Then the starting price was 10K higher than the online quote. And they added a "ceramic coating" that every new car has to have. If I am ordering the truck I want, and I don't want "ceramic coating" then why are you adding it to my truck???? Things went downhill fast and the whole interaction felt scammy. We ended up not ordering our new truck and will find a dealership that seems above board. I do not recommend Everett and will not be doing business with them. Received the Purchase agreement the first time to take to my credit union. They gave me the wrong vehicle and price. An Encore instead of the Envision. Second agreement had the wrong price. Didn't have the $2ooo rebate or my deposit. Third agreement didn't have my vehicles VIN. I couldn't believe this. Neither could my credit union. Did the management team make me feel comfortable? I recently moved to Hickory and purchased a new Sierra Denali two months ago from Everett. I'm a retired real estate developer and have purchased dozens of cars and trucks in my lifetime, mainly in California and Oregon. The first thing I noticed about Everett after you purchase is the difficulty to get someone to talk to in their service department. This shows extremely poor management and there is really no excuse for it. I drove into the service department yesterday with a question about my transmission temperature. There were several service writers sitting at their desks and not one said hello or may I help you. I found them to be dismissive, rude, and condescending. It seems it's a big deal for them to check on what the operating temperature of a 10-speed transmission in a new truck should be. The man did return my call with the answer after over a half hour of checking. I called to talk to someone in customer service and got a woman who was very rude and told me "I don't know about Oregon, but we only have one transmission tech and he's booked out till the end of January". They have a ton of salespeople and only one person in service for transmissions. Again, poor management. I then contacted the management and talked to Lynn who is the customer service manager for all three Everett dealerships. She was dismissive and very defensive. I told her I was referred to Everett by my Realtor and how disappointed I have been with their service department and the level of rudeness I had experienced. Since then, I spoke to a friend of mine at my gym who is a business owner in Hickory. He told me he has heard nothing but bad reviews on Everett and didn't know how they stayed in business. read more

Distance car buying can be tricky. I recently bought a 2018 Toyota Sienna XLE from Everett Chevrolet in Hickory, NC and when it was all said and done the bill was right at about $36k. The whole process went quite smooth right up until the day of delivery. The delivery crew arrived to my house, and to my surprise, I received only one key fob with the van and no floor mats. I sent a quick text to my sales rep, Allison, to let her know that those were the only two things keeping me from being "completely satisfied." Rather than calling me to clear up the confusion, she replied via text she would send some floor mats but used vehicles aren't guaranteed to come with more than one key (in a house of 4 kids, [[one with special needs and one a toddler]], one key just doesn't cut it). When I told her I wished that was disclosed in the negotiation process, I received a few more rather defensive texts about how she felt she'd done a good job with the whole process. I was a little taken aback by the fact that she didn't bother to call to clear up the misunderstanding. I later received an email (auto generated) from Dave Everett asking me to write a review so they can ensure their customers are "completely satisfied." I wanted to wait until I received the floor mats for the van before writing the review, and today the mats arrived. I received 4 universal carpeted mats (two for the front, two for the rear) that are black in color and about identical to the cheap $10 mats I had in my 1992 Civic hatchback in high school. The interior of our van is grey (not black) and it has 8 seats (not 4). My wife looked at them and said "they're mad at you, Nick." Perhaps she's right. Or perhaps the sales department thinks that these floor mats will help close the gap between somewhat satisfied and "completely satisfied." I'm not really sure what to think. At this point, it's water under the bridge, but I do hope my review serves as a guiding light for more family folks trying to buy a car from a distance in today's crazy market. Be clear about what you expect, and get clarity on what you're buying. The market is a seller's market right now and unfortunately that shows in ways we wish it wouldn't. I'll be buying my wife a set of new Toyota Sienna floor mats for Christmas and she'll be buying me a $350 spare key to bail her out when one of the kids plays hide and seek with the one we got from Everett. read more

A part fell off my truck leaving the dealership after work was done with missing bolts. Then the truck broke down at 99,000 miles. It was under my 100,000 mile warranty but over the 5 year limit by 5 months. I called Everett to talk about granting me a Goodwill Warranty since I was under the 100,000 miles. They lied to me on several points about Goodwill Warranty availability (I had done my homework and knew the procedure) and refused to even talk to me about it. I called Bale Chevrolet, even though I hadn't bought a vehicle from them, and they worked with me and gave me a Goodwill warranty that paid $2,100 of the $5000 repair bill. One of the guys in the collision department wiped down some of the interior. Cranked the car and the light for the tire pressure came on. Got out and looked and realized they didn't replace the wheel that was clearly in the estimate. Now have to make another trip to get that replaced. The service department is not responsive to the customers. I requested to schedule an appointment for an oil change and tire rotation 2 weeks ago. I had purchased a service package for 3 visits for above mentioned service. I received a text that communicated that my request had been received and that someone from the service department would reach out to me to complete scheduling the service per my request. I received no follow up. Also, the last time I received service my battery terminals were corroded. They did not clean them or check my battery of which I would have expected from a service department. They did mention it on the video. I cleaned the terminals myself but my wife was stranded at the beach the following week because of a dead battery. read more

No psychological pressure sales tactic like most dealers do. I was trying to work a deal with local dealerships (including one 2 miles away from my house) and nobody wanted to negotiate something that would make sense to me. I, then, remembered of the famous commercial on TV! Emailed them on a Saturday, we worked all the deals via internet and a week later I went over there to sign papers and pickup my car. If you think car buying is a hassle like I do, think again. And always remember: If you did not get a Everett deal, you did not get a deal at all! Six years ago, I purchased a new Equinox from Everett Chevrolet. At the beginning of last year, the coating on my rims started coming off and has gotten progressively worse. I contacted the dealership about it and they told me I needed to come in for an assessment. I called them and asked if I could just send pictures of my rims instead of driving 30 minutes to the dealership to see the same thing that's in a photograph. The service tech called me back and said since my 5 year warranty was up, I would just have to purchase new factory rims at about $400 a piece or do aftermarket ones. I've purchased many new vehicles but NEVER had this types of problem with wheels after only four years of a new purchase. They stayed hid the whole time while they made another guy run numbers and see what was going on with no clue of the situation. (He was great by the way, no complaint.). I was there from 3-7 and never once saw or heard from Tina. I'm at a loss, I guess I'll be calling the BBB tomorrow and seeing about contacting a lawyer. I was attended by Ashley who was very kind at first, she didn't calm me back to tell me what was wrong with the car and that's just poor customer service and when I called her that I was goin to come by and take my car back she didn't even bother to help me. All she did was give my a dirty looks and a different guy gave me my car and paperwork back. I was overly diligent about confirming availability and scheduling an appointment because my wife and I were going to have to drive 2.5 hours from Raleigh so did not want to wast our time or the time of anyone at the dealership. Got to the dealership only 3 hours after scheduling our appointment and they said the vehicle had sold THE DAY BEFORE. I feel like I was robbed of 5 hours of my weekend because of....laziness...... lack of communication....hoping to simply get us in the door to try to sell us a different vehicle.....?!? I would be shocked if this dealership has not been sued for their backhanded operations. My husband purchased a used Tahoe XLT here and the problems continue to rear their ugly head. As soon as we signed the papers and drove the truck off the lot, the issues arose. Immediately, we learned the driver-side buttons for the seat warmers were broken, only to be ignored by everyone I spoke with for weeks. I finally received a response when I threatened to engage the BBB. The Carfax report showed a clean slate but we quickly realized that was a lie. Apparently, the dealership waited until the purchase was complete to register the accident and detailed repairs they performed, conveniently at their dealership as well. We have likely spent $3-4K in repairs over the past two years we've owned this vehicle and I could not be more disgusted. I hope anyone that considers purchasing a vehicle from this dealership reads this review as a forewarning of the shady behavior here and reconsiders. Buyer Beware! I had a terrible experience especially with the Finance Manager and Sales Manager. After test driving a couple of cars and deciding on the one I wanted I made an appointment with my salesman. I show up and it is quickly apparent there will be no negotiation. I am then taken to the Finance guy. I am a first time car buyer with an excellent credit score and have a ton of available credit. As I sit down the Finance guy he let's me know with a big smile he has me approved for a 14.9% loan and that i will also need GAP insurance. I push back asking what credit score he has for me and he lets me know it's an excellent score. I once again push back and he does a little key stroking and comes back with a 10.9%. I explain this is still too high and I will have to check with my bank in the morning. I got a 5.25% rate at my bank. I had to waste two afternoons due to Everette Chevrolet not wanting to work with and help a customer. When I spoke to a Sales Manager and the Finance Manager after the deal was complete about how they were trying to take advantage of the customer, the Sales Manager stated their job was to offer me the opportunity to buy a vehicle. I would have thought a Sales Manager's job would be to help customers and to build a customer base by providing a good experience when purchasing a vehicle. Beware of Everette Chevrolet's Sales Managers and Finance Managers. They are just going to provide you with an opportunity to buy a vehicle, NOT help you. read more

Salesman let me test drive different cars all afternoon until I found exactly what I was looking for. The buying process was simple and I got a great deal. Like any car buying process I went in with knowledge of pricing and what the same vehicle was being sold for elsewhere. I will never purchase a vehicle from this dealer again. Since my purchase in 2016, I have had to contact them regarding mechanical issues brought to my attention by the manufacturer. This dealer has stated I can bring in my vehicle to see if it's covered under a Special Program - I am fine with this part, I understand not everything will be applicable. The vehicle is running rougher than expected though; so, I'd like to have it checked since it matches the symptoms outlined in the manufacturer letter. However, if my vehicle doesn't qualify for coverage under the Special Program I then owe $120 for diagnosis. The manufacturer contacted ME about the problem. How can you not check-out a vehicle you sold without charging me? How can you not stand behind this product? $120 charge in this case is pure greed. Absolutely the worst service.
