We recently purchased the vehicle used, so was unaware of the condition on the break pads. I scheduled an appointment with Rainey's automotive and dropped off the vehicle the next day. Promptly, the mechanic personally called me, and told me that my breaks were not bad, they were about 1/2 life left, but the rotors looked like they had surface damage from being too hot. He resurfaced the rotors, and it took care of the problem. The mechanic could have lied, and told me the breaks were bad, and made more money, but was honest. Honesty and integrity go a long way in my book. I will be back! It's great to have a mechanic that you can trust! It's one of the advantages of our small town :). Definitely an asset to Lenoir! They mounted, balanced and installed said tires over the existing wheel spacers that were on the vehicle prior to their work and made no mention of the spacers being any issue. 5,000 miles later returned to have the tires rotated and they said they would not rotate them because of the same spacers that were still on the vehicle from the last visit. So they had no issue when we spent all that money but now they do?!? They claimed it was their policy not to work on vehicles with spacers installed but they already had! They said it was a new policy and were sorry. Why does their new policy affect purchases, contracts and work performed before this policy was created? This policy is not part of the sales and service agreement we have so they are in breach and attorneys may become involved. Stay far away from Mavis Tires and Brakes because they are a dishonest business who will not honor their obligations that they put in writing, instead they create policies as they go to try and avoid fulfilling their commitments.We will never return and have told all our family, friends and coworkers to stay away also.

I am very impressed with the service we received from Fisher's Towing! The young man who came to tow my son's truck was phenomenal! He took his time and was considerate to go above and beyond to not further damage the truck while loading it onto the flatbed. It was an extremely cold night with temps in the 20"s and stong wind but he took his time and saved the truck from getting torn up while loading and unloading.
