My dryer had stopped heating. I contacted Serhiy at Everglades Appliance. I called on a Sunday early evening and he replied immediately. From the telephone conversation explaining the issue to Serhiy it was a good experience. Serhiy was professional and fixed my dryer by replacing a part needed. A few days later the dryer stopped working. I called Serhiy with this issue and he arrived the next day replaced another part without hesitation. I would use this company again. read more

Really bad experience with Serhiy/Everglades Appliance. He came to our place and said he couldn't even diagnose the problem with our water filter leaking until we had the official water filter from LG. Everyone knows that is a pile of nonsense. People use compatible printer cartridges everyday. He also claimed we broke the filter housing by not using genuine parts. So we paid him $75 for him to tell us that. When we got the official water filter, he wanted to charge us four times the cost of the part you see in the pic, plus labor. Long story short, we got the part ourselves and found a decent repairman and it ended up costing less than half what Serhiy wanted, and that was "with a $75 credit" we had already paid him. Aside from that, he was rude and abrasive, claiming we broke the part and asking if we expected him to pay for it. read more

WISH I COULD LEAVE MORE THAN A FIVE STAR REVIEW! I called late Sunday night and was able to make an early appointment for the next morning with Sergio. He arrived during the time specified and did a thorough assessment of what the problem might be with my LG Adora refrigerator water dispenser not operating after the water filter's needed replacement was done. Once he figured out the situation and did what was needed to be done the problem was solved! He also recommended doing compressor maintenance since it had never been done, the age of the refrigerator, and that I would not be able to move it myself. I also asked him about the problem I had with my LG Adora dishwasher that another company could not fix completely and he took care of that too. He was professional, knowledgeable, cleaned the work area spotlessly, and pricing was fair market equivalent based on what I have heard others pay for similar services. I was able to get a same day appointment and Steve showed up on time and performed the necessary repairs at a great price to get my dryer up and running again. Serhiy is a price gouging, money hungry, and a personal space violator. He provided a service for me to fix my dryer not even a year ago. When he was here the last time he tried to charge me a maintenance fee of $80 to clean out the dryer (which was apart of the service) when it was smelling like smoke. I had to call the main office before he took the charge off. I paid $245 for Labor, a Thermostat, Heating Element, and Sensor. He tried to charge me today $120 for the same parts that he replaced last May. But last May the parts were $45. Once I proved this to him by showing him the receipt, that he was price gouging, he started to record me in my home after me asking him several times not to. Before he started recording, I asked him to not yell at me after I showed him the last receipt and he was upset. When I raised my voice, he put his hand in my face and asked me not to yell at him. He assumed I was home alone but when I called for someone to come out of the room that's when he wanted to humble himself. He is a very unprofessional and money hungry man that put his hands in a woman's face. He created a hostile situation and then tried to record me once I was upset that he put his hand in my face. Three nights ago my refrigerate stopped working. This was the first service company I noted when doing a Google search. The owner came out that night. I will say that was a plus. I was hoping it was a blown switch and could be fixed. I was told I need a new mainboard. The quoted price to repair was close to $600. I forgot the exact amount of what I was quoted the part would cost, but he added about a 50% markup. After some haggling he reluctantly agreed to a total of $500. The part was really only about $200 so he was going to make out well. He came back the next night to change the board, and that was not the fix. Later on he informed me that there appears to be a shortage inside my refrigerate and he could not help me. He refunded the down payment for the part, but kept the $75 for the service call. At first I didn't think much of it as he did come here for $75. However, the next day I had to companies come out. Both confirmed it probably could not be fixed, but they could try another mainboard. However, both companies didn't charge me as they couldn't specifically diagnose the problem. Also, the one company showed me if they ordered the new mainboard it would cost around $200 and they would install it for $150. This is significantly less than Everglades tried to tell me.
