I have a SubZero refrigerator that needs a new compressor. Angel, the technician, showed up on time, was professional, and diagnosed the issue. He quoted $2,800 for the repair, estimating it would take about 3 hours. The part itself is around $500. Even factoring in a $200 truck roll, that leaves roughly $2,100 in labor -- or about $700 an hour. I understand where I live and that a SubZero is a premium appliance, but when did it become acceptable to charge $700 an hour for appliance repair? At that rate, it works out to $1.5 million a year for a repairman. Is this really where the market is today, or am I being ripped off? read more

I called to seek repair for my Bosch washer, thinking the belt had failed. After being asked several questions, I was told that I likely needed a new motor and that it usually is too expensive to justify that repair on an older machine. That has been my experience on other Bosch washers I have had and made complete sense. Top notch service. They were up front about everything, even though it means I am better off buying a new machine instead of getting it repaired by them. The least I can do is give a raging review, especially to JR who I can tell has a strong sense of integrity. Experience: From the beginning, every interaction made me feel comfortable. I normally get anxious when I have to make this type call because I'm so clueless about the subject, I feel particularly vulnerable. Contrary to other vendors I called, he didn't start with the whole "it's gonna cost you $xx just to get us there and IF you hire us, we will apply it to the total". The office gathered some info about my situation to assess if they can even be helpful! Then eventually JR called me back and asked me a few more questions, he probably had a feeling I was better off buying a new appliance. He pretty much said just that in the end. I was extremely satisfied with this company and it's customer service. I though I might have a serious problem with my refrigerator when I called for service. They gave me a time frame for their arrival, JR called to tell me he was on his way, and arrived soon after. We had a fridge condensation n ice problem. We played with the settings too much I called at 8pm and our call was answered immediately. We were told our settings were way too low and to rest.
