We came to The Cow after a group workout event at Red Rocks and it was a nice way to fuel post workout. We did have a large group with us so there was a bit of wait. The parking lot is very limited so we parked on the street. This place is very busy. It was about a 40 minute wait and our group was split because the place is quite small. Food is okay. It wasn't memorable. They do come in large portions so it is a lot of food. Might be best to share one meal and order a side or something. But if you're eating post workout, it is quite nice. Overall, it's not too bad. I don't know if I would come back personally due to the long wait times. I tried coming again at a later time and for 2 people, it was an hour wait. read more

Nestled in Morrison, this is a cute breakfast spot that gives mountain vibes despite being in the foothills. It is alongside a creek where you can walk or sit at a bench, which I love since I have a young kiddo. Food was delicious. We ordered a large pancake, country fried steak w eggs, and an egg breakfast. I took stars off my review because the food came out cold. I didn't say anything bc I'm not a fan of that. I'm a former server so I'm assuming it was a server issue (a nice younger guy) rather than a kitchen issue since a kitchen not dinging the bell or firing food once it's made is rare. We have been trying to eat here for ages, usually the parking is full. We had great service and wonderful food. We ate inside as the rain was coming. Grand girls had the hot dog and grilled cheese-which was super cheesy and not just a slice of American cheese. The fish and chips were light and flakey, the french dip was very good. We visited for breakfast after watching the sunrise at red rocks. It's just a couple miles away in Morrison so more than convenient. It's easy to find off the main drag, and although the parking lot is small, it's free and I had no problem getting my full size truck parked there. I had the spotted cow which was delicious, the coffee was good and we also got the omelette, which was tasty as well. The inside is kind of quaint and rustic with a lot of humorous paraphernalia on the walls, fun place for sure. Service was great and we would happily go again. read more

This was a disappointing meal. It came as a top rated spot on yelp for breakfast and in the local area. This was our first stopped after landing in Denver and we needed breakfast. This inside was a cute charming but freezing cold cafe. I started with an apple cider that they throw an entire cinnamon stick in. It was good but the entire cup was sticky for some reason on the outside. I ordered the build you own omelette with shredded potatoes and sourdough toast. First off the toast was not sourdough it tasted like stale white bread. I know sourdough because I have a small business at home in which I make sourdough and that was not it. The omelette was very watery and the amount of cubed ham inside was not edible. The cheese and spinach inside was not even cooked. The shredded potatoes were alright but needed so much salt to be decent. My boyfriend ordered the breakfast burrito it was horrible. The entire inside was undercooked unseasoned breakfast potatoes. There was maybe about two pieces of sausage inside and it was drowned in sauce. Conveniently all the waitstaff seemed to disappear after our food came out and we were starving so we attempted to eat about half of our horrible meals. Then trying to get a staff member to pay the bill was next to impossible as I tried to flag someone down twice and no one came to the table. It was maybe about 20 minutes before someone finally came over. Parking is a very small tight lot or paid street parking. Save yourself a trip and find a better spot for breakfast. Really cute place, very rustic. It's the perfect breakfast spot for the area, decent prices for the portions and pretty good food. The people working there are really friendly too. We didn't order it but the breakfast burrito is huge!! Definitely a steal and can feed probably 2-3 people depending on how hungry you are. read more

This place is right near the red rocks amphitheater and has a unique selection of food. From grilled cheese or Mac and cheese to burritos or tacos. It took a bit for us to get seated and make sure you have your ID because they card everyone. That also delayed our service for quite a while. The place is simple and there were quite a few people both inside or using the outside seating. I ordered the Reuben and my wife had the grilled ham and cheese. The Reuben was perfectly cooked and quite good. The French fries were a unique cut and also well done. We also tried their hot sauce and I purchased the garlic Serrano which was something different and very flavorful. Certainly a good option for lunch if you're in the area. read more

We like the outdoor patio and tempura mushrooms (the aioli/watery mayo is questionable) and the guac is a large serving, but we're consistently disappointed with dinner. The grilled cheese are lightly toasted texas toast with 2 pieces of barely melted american cheese, the mac & cheese tastes like milk and noodles, and the burgers typically come out cooked beyond the request (rare = medium, medium = well, etc). We've been going to the Morrison location for 10+ years in the summer so we've given it the benefit of the doubt time and time again, but we're finally over it and won't be back. read more

They even had vegan options and were able to adjust a few for me. I ordered the avocado toast, oatmeal with water instead of milk. Too bad, This is in a great location, small but cozy, friendly staff but the food is terrible. I had a patty melt that was greasy & sloppy, inedible. I had to send it back. Been here a few times, the French fries are great, kind of different but very enjoyable. The pancake is great but too big & thick, larger than the plate with no room for butter or syrup, very messy. Let me just say, the one server was horrible. They pool all the tips and split them. If I was any of the other servers, I would not have stood for that guy's laziness. Despite the restaurant's name, we opted for a berry salad without the cheese and added salmon on it. My sister and I had breakfast at this wonderful, small restaurant very close to the red rock amphitheater where we watched the sunrise. The service was amazing and the food was absolutely delicious. The portions were large enough so that I could eat a second breakfast with what I brought home. The gigantic cinnamon roll was absolutely delicious, and the coffee itself was worth the visit. The atmosphere inside is warm and cozy with plenty of seating both to the left and the right of the main entrance. We stopped by The Cow for lunch with the family yesterday. It was pretty busy, but we were seated right away, which was a nice surprise. The space is small but has a cozy, homey feel--definitely has charm. Service was great throughout the meal. We started with the fried PB&J and sweet potato waffle fries. The flavor on both was good, but the PB&J was a bit dry--not quite enough peanut butter or jelly. Fries were a little soggy but still tasty. I had the berry yummy salad with a side of vegetarian green chile. The chile had a real kick to it, but the flavor was on point. Salad was fresh and hit the spot. My husband ordered the regular chile, but it was too spicy for him to finish, so just a heads-up if you're sensitive to heat! Overall, we enjoyed our visit and would come back. We ran into people from our home town in town for a concert at Red Rocks. I'm not sure why they have such low ratings. When you walked inside, it was covered with cows. Even the bathroom had cow paintings and artwork inside. Thats why they call it the cow and eatery. You can either eat inside or the outside patio or the back closed off patio. The service is great, and they are quick and check on you frequently. When I asked for hot sauce, they brought over three from their own brand. I was impressed by all three. It felt like I was in the show hot ones on youtube, haha!! I found out that this place used to be just an ice cream shop with just outside seating, but renovated it for food and dessert with seating inside. I think that was a great idea. Food wise, I ordered for myself the seafood mac and cheese. I'm on a diet not eating fried food, so it was limited, and of course, I got myself dessert too. Their banana split was so good. I enjoyed it thoroughly even though I'm not a fan of chocolate. But their two flavors and all of the toppings together combined matched well. We stopped here on the way to Red Rocks. None of us had been here before but with such a cute name who could resist. Based on other reviews, it seems like maybe we need to try it again. The place is cute and the service was great but we all felt the food was just kind of average. I ordered the green chile burrito with ground beef. And maybe I was expecting too much flavor, but it was kind of bland. The ground beef was not Mexican seasoned and tasted like just cooked ground beef rolled into a burrito. No spice or flavor to it as I had hoped. The french dip was also just okay. Now mind you we ate it all so it was not bad, but just not great. Maybe it is a matter of trying the wrong things because people clearly love this place. So next time I am in Morrison, I would give it another shot. read more
