What a gem! My husband and I met some friends here and were greeted by the friendliest person who wiped off the rain soaked seats and table and gave us recommendations and answered questions. When I was unsure of a liquor in a drink she gave me a taste to make sure that I would like it. I ordered the Hanky Panky and it was amazing! Everyone in our party enjoyed their drinks. We also ordered the cheese board and while for the price, I felt like there should be be more cheese. But it was enjoyable and we ate it all and ordered another round. I honestly can't comment on the drinks because the day I came here my stomach was bothering me a bit and I ended up not getting anything, but I liked the vibes! It was less fancy/pretty than I thought it would be, but it's a good place to get a strong drink (based on the menu/ingredients - they all looked pretty strong!) and sit/relax. There was plenty of free parking on the main road, and some seating out front which was just outside. A hidden gem! Literally, you have to walk down a little alleyway between a coffee shop and another building to get to their entrance. It was extremely hot outside so we decided to book a reservation inside but what we didn't realize is there is no A/C so it was hot inside even though all the windows were open. The drinks were delicious and there were so many more I wanted to try. The staff member who was covering the whole restaurant however there were only 3 tables include ours, was nice and not overbearing but rather attentive and allowed us to chat but checked on us regularly. read more

I will say that place was actually a gem! Very impressed with the bar and the drinks.. Had their version of an old fashion called shadow woman ... for sure loved it!!! Finally got a chance to go to Jasmines Bar in Louisville. We went at happy hour. I had a cucumber and mint drink and my friend had an apple spritzer type if drink. We sat in the outside which had umbrellas just it rained, which it did. We ordered the olives and later a charcuterie board with salami, prosciuttos and a diff re rent type of salami. Both were delicious! I had a wonderful time. The food was good but I feel that it was a little bit expensive. The venue was fabulous! If you were with a significant other it would have been the perfect place to spend together. The wait staff never were in a rush and never made you feel like they wanted you to leave. I had a fantastic time. I think this is a fabulous place for a date night. read more

This place is great to have a party at! We needed a great venue for a 20th high school reunion and the Jasmine bar delivered for our 50 or so guests. Lauren and the other event staff worked with us to create 2 custom cocktails for our event, the food was DELICIOUS and presented so beautifully with a charcuterie board spread and pizzas. Everyone loved the flow of the space, selection of alcohol available for tastings. HIGHLY recommend it for date night, birthday parties, rehearsal dinners, anything. Cool place in an awesome little Main Street area of town! Unique the way that multiple buildings and businesses share bathrooms feeling more like a little block party. Nice outside patio area to relax. Food is OK but the bourbon selection was one of the all time best I've seen, especially for someplace so small! Nice staff. Stop in for sure. read more

Man what happened to this place.. Jasmine used to be my favorite bar in the area. They provided a varied menu with incredibly unique and delicious drinks with an upscale yet cozy vibe inside. However our last visit was anything but. Supposedly they've made the decision to drop the entire "old menu" as the bartender called it in favor for an uninspired and honestly boring Christmas menu with drinks that weren't even remotely on the level of their previous offerings. Yet the prices were actually higher than their standards. This current menu feels like something you'd pay $11 for at a dive or chain restaurant. After a relatively long wait for service, we ordered 3 drinks, having to repeat ourselves multiple times to the hostess that didn't seem to have any clue of what their drinks were called. Of the 3, none of them included the garnishes that were outlined in the menu, and one drink was completely wrong. We were allowed to keep it and had it replaced at no cost at least, but even the replacement did not have the correct garnish per the menu. I'm praying this place didn't sell out and it's just in some strange transition period between seasons but I won't be returning to check until some time after the new year and these awful drinks are gone. This is a tricky review to write. There were definitely highs and lows in our experience. The highs were the ambience, the complimentary popcorn, the varied cocktail menu and our interactions with the male server Steff. Now for the lows. It took quite a while to be waited on and then served our drinks, and they weren't busy. I ordered a whiskey sour which was your typical whiskey sour although it was served without a cherry so I had to ask but not a big deal. My husband's experience was really not great. He ordered a Jack and Coke with a side shot of Jack. When we receive the bill we were quite frankly shocked. My drink was 18 or 19 which I expected because it was on the menu. I make similar sours at home and for that price thought it would stand out more but whatever. Apparently Jack Daniels makes a high end single barrel whiskey and the price was also high-end at $15 for the Jack and Coke and $15 for the shot which on the bill it said it was 2 oz but we don't believe it. We make cocktails at home and this was the smallest shot I've ever seen. Now I understand that prices have gone up and you are paying for the ambiance and the craft cocktails but it's not like this is New York City. When the average Joe orders a Jack and Coke, which is not even a craft cocktail you might inform them that it's a special select flavor and priced accordingly. I just think transparency would have gone a long way here. It would be an interesting place to bring friends, just bring lots of cash! read more

I really wanted to love my experience here, but unfortunately it was quite a letdown. Let me start by saying that they did a great job with this remodel. It's tucked back down the alley between Bittersweet Cafe and B.O.B.S. Diner. They have a variety of seating to choose from: casual tables & couches outside and several tables inside with a large screen tv that had the football game playing right next to a cornerside fireplace. We made a reservation for 6pm on a Saturday in September and there were only a few other people there on the ground floor and a small party upstairs in their private room. They also have a nice "cigar lounge" right beyond the fireplace that's also available for parties. We sat at 6:10, ordered around 6:20 and didn't receive our 3 cocktails until 7:02. I couldn't believe it. The host/server was sweet and said that the drinks would be coming soon, but as we sat and waited and waited and waited nothing happened. We almost considered just leaving. They give truffle popcorn complimentary which is a nice touch and was flavorful, but waiting 40 mins for a drink is wild. The drinks were fine - Manhattan was good, Jasmine Old Fashioned with Gin was nice if you like citrus (although I didn't think it was worth $22), and the THE DEAD RABBIT COFFEE COCKTAIL was so bland. All you tasted was the egg white. It was like drinking a cloud. The ambiance overall was nice, but the music playing was a bit odd and kind of put our group into a sleepy trance as we waited and waited for our cocktails. The bar area is nice, but just having one bathroom is a little strange. I always want local businesses to thrive and do well so I truly hope this isn't the norm and maybe we came at an off day, but I'd be hesitant to return based on this experience. read more

Stumbled upon this gem quite by accident. It's tucked away in a corner of downtown Louisville. The ambiance is great- there are several different seating areas to choose from, depending on whether you want a more speakeasy, intimate vibe (the bar), a classy lounge, or laid back with possible live music (patio). All of them are great, depending on what it is you are going for. The drinks are amazing as well. A little on the pricey side, but they're worth it if you enjoy a well-balanced craft cocktail. We also had the chocolate truffles as a late night dessert, and thoroughly enjoyed them. This will now be one of our favorite date night spots. read more

I went to the Jasmine bar with a few friends to try their cocktails, and we all loved absolutely everything about this place. First, the atmosphere: they did a great job with the remodel. The bar area is nice, there are plenty of tables with a fire place, and there's an area in the back with comfortable chairs and low tables. A small loft upstairs with sofas feels very cosy. The vibe is inviting, warm and pleasant, with a mix of old and contemporary touches; it's simply beautiful! The service was impeccable, our waiter kept checking on us. The food menu is limited to charcuterie or cheese boards, olives and nuts. We found the nuts tasty and perfect for snacking while enjoying our drinks. We felt so comfortable there that we ended up staying longer than planned and tried a few cocktails. The selection is impressive, and all the ones we tasted were delicious and beautifully presented in pretty glasses. I started with the Jasmine Martini which was lovely, with a couple of elderflower buds floating on the drink and a little branch of thyme attached to the rim. We all had a great time, everything was perfect. As I got home, I was already thinking of when I'd go back - hopefully very soon! read more

This place is dope. It has a speak easy cozy lounge style that feels like home with a wood burning fireplace in the cold months. The owner and bartender's are very friendly with excellent service. Precisely what Louisville needed in a cocktail bar! There are a ton of places around to get a beer or margarita but this cocktail bar is what we were missing. The bartenders are very knowledgeable and personable and made my wife and I excellent cocktails. It's swanky but not pretentious and the prices are reasonable for the amount of effort necessary to make these drinks.
