Dr. Andy came to the hospital to meet my son, probably out of respect for Dr. Engel. I was a new mother, and my mother lives in NY. I cannot overstate the quality of the care that my children have received from Dr. Andy, his PA Beverly, and Greenwood Pediatrics. My son was quite small, 6 pounds 5.5 ounces. I'm tall, and his father is tall. So we all expected an 8-lb baby. Dr. Andy had me bring my son in for weight checks for a few weeks, until my son started gaining weight at a faster pace. He was in the 95th percentile for height, so the weight had to catch up. When my daughter was born, she was even smaller. I asked Dr. Andy if he wanted me to bring her in for weight checks, and he said, "Nah. You just have small babies." Turns out that baby weight is correlated to the mother's birth weight. I weighed 6 lbs 7 ounces. I would never have had 8-lb babies. There was a terrible incident where my son's diaper was filled with a bright green mess. I PANICKED, and called Greenwood after hours. Dr. Andy called me back, laughing, and asked me if he had had any blue ice cream at Cold Stone. Well, yes, he did. Problem solved :) We are fortunate that that our kids are healthy. Dr. Andy used to joke about how he almost never saw them, except for checkups. I told him that they ate a LOT of vegetables, and weren't allowed soda or junk food except on special occasions. He said, "H'mm." I like the fact that antibiotics are only prescribed when necessary, and never without the child being seen. Dr. Andy is a no-nonsense physician, and doesn't coddle children or their parents. My kids actually like seeing him, and Beverly :) This recent visit was for my daughter, now 19. I was THRILLED to learn that Greenwood will keep seeing patients up until age 26. I hated leaving my NYC pediatrician, Dr. Edward Davies, when I turned 18. I'm very grateful to have a pediatrician that we can trust implicitly. I wasn't sure about the HPV vaccines, but Dr. Andy recommended them, so the kids got them. And once there was a time when I was convinced that my infant son had some sort of very rare syndrome, which I based upon an ear crease. Dr. Andy rolled his eyes and pointed out that we would have seen enlarged organs on the ultrasounds. Well, yeah. I'm impressed that he knew about this rare syndrome right off the bat. And for new, inexperienced parents, the after-hours on call service is amazing. We rarely used it, but when we needed it, Greenwood was there. I will say that projectile vomiting is quite disturbing, but does not require ER visits. My babies are now healthy young adults, and I'm grateful to Dr. Andy, Beverly Garrison, and the rest of the team for their part in getting them here. I never had any problems with the front desk staff, except for one nurse who constantly mispronounced my son's first name, but whatever. He would correct her, and then next time...same mispronunciation. Weird. I like the fact that you never feel hustled at Greenwood. Yes, you might have to wait a bit to see the doctor or PA, but when it's your kid's turn, you will get the same level of care. Son had a motorcycle accident on a weekend, so I took him to Urgent Care and then to Dr. Andy on Monday. Dr. Andy examined him and also spoke about motorcycle safety. I appreciated that. Being a parent can be scary. Having excellent pediatric care is a saving grace.

I write this review to serve as a warning to families who are considering using Village Pediatrics…read more We took my daughter (who at the time was learning to walk/toddle) in to see Dr. Markowski for concerns that we had about splotches on her legs. He accused us of inflicting bruises on our daughter, and called the police to escort us in an ambulance to Children's hospital, where my daughter had multiple tests run, X-rays, CT scans, etc. performed on her body. Before he called the police on us, he tried to assuage my fears about these accusations by saying "he makes multiple calls like this each month". A quick Google search on Dr. Markowski shows other parents that had similar experiences. Being escorted out by police and forced into the ambulance was the most humiliating and terrifying experience I've ever lived through. Seeing my 8 month old daughter scream in pain as the X-ray techs twisted and contorted her body is an image I will never forget. After additional tests and the help of some doctors who were more interested in helping us than hurling unsound accusations at us, we learned that my daughter has a fibrinolytic defect and other health concerns related to genetics/blood disorders that can cause the marks on her legs that we originally requested Dr. Markowski to look at. Dr. Studebaker, who was our daughter's actual pediatrician, only called me after I received a bill from them for $18 threatening to send me to collections for our visit because I was so upset. She promised that she would call me and my husband back to address our concerns, apologized profusely for Dr. Markowski's poor judgement, and then ghosted us. After we called back multiple times, the receptionist said the doctors were screening our calls because their attorneys advised them not to speak to us. Our CPS caseworker, who happened to be lovely, said that this whole case was verbatim "Bulls--t". The police assigned to our case closed everything without even needing to speak with us, as she found all accusations to be "unfounded". We are now stuck with thousands of dollars in medical bills and the lingering trauma from the possibility of having your child taken away from you. It has taken me a while to write this review because of the shame that I feel, even though we are the victims. The fear that I experience anytime we take my daughter to her routine check ups is something I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. I had to submit myself into therapy after this ordeal, and my therapist diagnosed me with PTSD from the incident.  The arrogance that Dr. Markowski conducts himself with, and the cowardice that Dr. Studebaker displays is inexcusable. This trauma and the consequences of their poor judgement will stay with my family for the rest of our lives.

DO NOT take your children here. These doctors are unethical cowards, especially Dr. Markowski and…read moreDr. Studebaker. They don't listen to their patients and they treat them like filth. I wish I never would have taken my daughter here. Worst experience of my entire life, without exaggeration. They admitted to handling our situation horribly wrong and only offered a hollow apology. We were left with thousands in medical bills because of their mistake. They became completely unreachable when we asked for assistance with the bills that they caused. We had to file complaints on both doctors to the medical board because they wouldn't respond to us and now they are using that as an excuse to not speak with us again. They are cowards and will 100% screw over their patients if it means they won't be held accountable for their actions. Truly awful, evil and just horrible human beings.
