Chronic Pain, Mental Health, and/or Transgender? AVOID THIS…read moreCLINIC! They will do everything in their power to avoid doing anything for you while still collecting money from insurance for appointments. Have complex mental health issues? Hope you only need talk therapy. Their in-house psych refuses to touch complex psychiatric conditions that require 'restricted' medications. The PCPs I and my partner have dealt with refuse to touch psych meds. They don't care about suicide risk or self-harm, they will do everything in their power to avoid touching your care and they will not help with medications, referrals, or safe hand-offs. My partner's PCP actively argued with him and tried ending a video appointment early when he said he was actively suicidal and was having a panic attack. QA and "patient advocates" were notified - nothing. Chronic pain? After several escalations, we had a nice chat with the head clinician where we were told to our faces that we're "addicted to not being in pain", after the PCP refused referrals to rheumotology, neurology, and other related diagnostics for non-medical reasons like they're "overbooked", "radiation", "they'll try the same meds we are". A request for a pain management referral was redirected to a rehab clinic. Ongoing extreme pain associated with on-file and documented conditions yielded a naloxone prescription for 'pain relief'. Apparently we're drug-seeking tweakers, so we don't deserve to have second opinions or individualized assessments/care. Need testosterone but the Trans Care Specialist is already abandoning and abusing your partner for the same issues? Not our problem. Either keep using the abusive trans care specialist we have or we'll force you to go to OHSU for any trans care at all, period, even when we prescribe hormones to cis people without requiring off-site specialists and hoops. Because "I'm not familiar or comfortable" with doing my job because trans people are complicated and difficult to deal with.

There were a surprisingly high number of patients waiting to be seen but we got in. Lindsey did the first set of X-rays and I was so impressed with the care and communication she gave the both of us the whole time. We even got a sticker of her cat miss Norris and we were told they are a hot commodity. I believe it. I hate that I didn't completely catch our nurses name working with doctor Washington- Kayla, Kaylee, Caitlin?! I'm so sorry!!! But she was so great throughout the whole night with my daughter and even gave her a brown bear at the end with a splint and cast on the same arm my daughter left with one. Ded. Dr Washington you were also very kind and thank you for doing your best to put the broken bones into place. We had a long visit but the care was superb so 5 stars to the whole staff. So so impressed and made the emergency visit less painful. Also note to the world- monkey bars are horrible and I shake both my fists at them.

I gave birth to my daughter, Kinley, by C-section on April 10, 2026, which was much earlier than her estimated due date of May 4. As a first-time mom at 36 years old, I was nervous, emotional, and honestly scared stepping into such a big and unexpected moment. But from the minute I was checked in there, I felt so thoroughly, thoughtfully, and genuinely cared for. What could have been overwhelming turned into a beautiful, peaceful, and deeply supported birth and recovery experience. I did not have any hospital bags so early and they had everything I could need and more! My stay was four days in a beautiful private room, and I am so grateful for how comfortable, safe, and cared for I felt the entire time. The hospital itself was clean, calm, and beautiful, and that really mattered during such a vulnerable and life-changing experience. It gave me such a sense of peace. What stood out most to me was the incredible staff. Every single nurse, doctor, hospital staff member, and person who came in to check on me or my daughter was kind, gentle, respectful, and compassionate. I never felt like just another patient. I felt seen, cared about, and truly looked after. I especially want to recognize Sydney and Jill, who were both amazingly kind, fun, attentive, genuine, and just wonderful human beings. They helped make such a scary and emotional experience feel smooth, safe, and even joyful. They were so patient with me as a nervous first-time mom healing from a C-section, and they were incredibly encouraging and informative without ever making me feel silly or behind. I felt empowered and encouraged. They taught me so much, helped me feel more confident, and brought such warmth into the room. I truly hope other moms get the chance to have nurses like them. I also want to mention my last nurse on discharge day, who helped with the car seat and made such a sweet final impression on me. She was wonderful, helpful, and caring, and it meant so much to end our stay with that same level of kindness and support. Most importantly, the care my daughter Kinley received was amazing. Watching how gently, carefully, and lovingly she was handled and brought into this world is something I will never forget. That means everything to a mother. I felt like both of us were in such good hands the entire time. I could not have asked for a smoother experience, especially considering how unexpected it all was. Providence St. Vincent gave me a birth story and recovery experience that I will always look back on with gratitude. Thank you for helping make one of the biggest days of my life feel beautiful, safe, and full of care. I wholeheartedly recommend Providence St. Vincent to any expecting mother or family. I will always remember how loved and supported we felt there. I know I will never forget this day and the days following my swift and smooth discharge with my new baby daughter, but I will ESPECIALLY never forget the amazing women who helped me through walk into motherhood for the first time with such care and compassion. It was truly more special than I could have ever even planned. The office also moved things along so quick and organized I never even had a chance to feel overwhelmed, was just able to focus on loving and caring for my daughter.

I was told I was assigned to Dr. Omar Nazir, and that he was reviewing my x rays. The earliest appointment was in six weeks. I told them I was in considerable pain and couldn't wait that long. Was put on cancellation list, but never received earlier appointment. Put up with pain as well as I could knowing that there was relief ahead. Showed up day of appointment 20 minutes early to fill out paperwork. Was given an I Pad and papers to fill out - same information on both detailing reason for my visit. Waited 40 minutes past time to be shown to exam room. waited another 20 minutes for Dr. to come in. He tried to shake my hand (reason for visit: crippling pain in right hand- and then told me I need x rays before he could examine me. I told him he had been reviewing my x rays for six weeks. He said he never saw them. Said sit tight, he'd look for them. 20 minutes later came back and said they were requesting x rays from the imager. Came back and said he had a report of the x rays but not the x rays. I told him I couldn't deal with the pain for another six weeks and asked for a prescription and he said he only prescribed after surgery, and that if I had surgery it would be to have my joints fused and basically not be able to use my hand again. (I was expecting, and have since had confirmed that the treatment is cortisone injection). I started crying out of pain and frustration and anger and he turned his back to me and stopped communicating with me. I left, after a completely useless visit, with an unfeeling doctor (and staff - I cried my way out and no one tried to help me) after waiting in pain for six weeks. I have a $3000 deductible - am I supposed to pay out of pocket for incompetence?
