When…read moreI moved my dad in, his AC units didn't work, it took over a month for them to get a professional in to fix them and they still didn't work. He had a portable AC unit placed in his apartment, in a place he couldn't get to control it, as he's in a wheelchair. His door would not automatically lock when it closed. It took four requests and two thefts of $300 to get it fixed. My father also had my deceased mother's iPhone and iPad stolen from his apartment. All were reported to Jeff, the executive director, and nothing was done. Nothing reported to police, until I called them in myself. The dining area light in the apartment may or may not come on when you flick the switch. If you use the microwave oven, it will throw the breaker. Last time in my dad's apartment, it also took out to wall outlets. The AC units, even though they didn't cool the apartment, leaked- twice. The accounts payable person, Peggy, was very rude to me each time I paid my dad's bill. When someone hands you a check for $9,000, the least you can do is say "thank you". Jeff never returned my phone calls or voicemails. They could never keep all three elevators working at the same time. Something rather important when you have a building full of elderly people, with mobility issues, trying to get to the one dinning room in the middle of the building, on the second floor. It is really quite ridiculous for these things to be happening for the excessive amount of rent you pay. The one plus of the place are the care staff, especially Beka, Christina, Domonique, Laura, Jackie and Juju, they took great care of my folks! (My mom was in and out due to health issues, she passed there). If you're looking for assisted living for your loved one, keep looking.

They even let us bring in our pups to see her because my aunt loved our dog, as long as they were vaccinated which they were because we belonged to a dog park that requires them. The other residents really enjoyed our dogs as well. The one time that they were kinda rude was the day my aunt passed away. She already crossed to the other side, but we were all in there to say our goodbyes. It was extremely hot in the room so I had to step out a few times. One of the times I stepped out, it was a young man I had never met before demand rudely why I was out in the hallway several times. He was working at the desk right across the room so I figured he would have known that the patient across from his desk had passed. I explained to him that our family member had passed, but it was extremely hot in the room which he did finally turn his attitude around for. I've had nothing, but pleasant experiences here while visiting except for with this person.

Its…read moreDirector of Admissions, Ms. Nancy, is very efficient, caring, and responsive, and the staff is also kind, professional, and customer-oriented (i.e. if they don't know the answer to a question, they find out and get back to you with the answer). My dad spent a little over 3 weeks in this facility back in December 2021 and had a good stay. He became well enough to return home on Christmas Eve but got hospitalized again a couple weeks later and was discharged on 1/19/22. He was, unfortunately, admitted to another nursing facility where the staff's attitude and patient care left much to be desired. My mom was frustrated and in tears nearly every day that my dad was at the other facility because her poor experience with the staff there was unlike her previous experience with the kind and responsive staff at Hanford Post Acute. With Ms. Nancy's help, my mom was able to get my dad discharged from the other nursing facility and transferred to Hanford Post Acute yesterday evening, 2/2/22. It was the next best thing to bringing him home, and when we stopped by with a couple items for my dad last night, his nurse (Michael) assisted us very kindly. Just want to thank the warm hearted staff, including Ms. Nancy, at Hanford Post Acute. You are all doing such an important job, and what you do (and how well you do it) makes such a significant impact on families! Last night was the first time in two weeks that my mom was finally able to relax, not worry about my dad, and get a good night's sleep. We checked in with my dad today and he told us how nice his nurse has been to him. He sounds much happier and well taken care of since his transfer to Hanford Post Acute. So far from what I hear about this place it's a horrible place to be in the staff is awful and…read morelazy. My friends husband died there for being neglected and left without being cared for. She would come in the morning or anytime of the day and he would be wet from urine his bed would be soiled and soaked. Disgusting . The food always cold . My neighbor is there now and he almost died from negligence. Friends went to see him and noticed he was not himself they advised the head nurse he needed antibiotics or something but she said he was fine. That night around 11 o'clock they called his daughter to say he was transferred to the hospital in icu where he almost died because they should have listened to the friends earlier. He was given antibiotics through IV fluids. Now he's back to normal. I don't trust this place don't put your family members here. I would not give any Star of if I could get away with it.
