Super torn on this ones because there were some wins and some disappointments and loses. Started with a stein of Wasserwolf Jager and Little Slice. Both were WINNERS!! Asked to have the buffalo wings brought to the table with no sauce on them and the server was accommodating without issue. Have to say that if I went back, this would probably be the only thing I would order (but we'll get into that later). The breading/coating was OUT-Of-This-WORLD!!!!!!!! Super juicy, tender, tasty and I could have eaten a dozen more. Ordered the Mexican Street Corn Wrap and specifically asked about how it was listed on the menu as being served on flatbread. Server confirmed "flatbread" and even described it. Well................ it arrived on a dry, stale flour tortilla. No mayo, no lime, no tajin. The food here was delicious! My MIL brought me here for dinner and we had a great time! A great place, it's nice and a great open concept. Cool artwork and plenty of seating. The bar area looks cool and huge tvs to watch sports too. We were greeted by wonderful ladies and we got seated right away. Our waitress Blanca was FANTASTIC! Kindly shared great recommendations and was on top of serving us. The bus staff was even amazing! Great young men! My hot honey chicken sandwich was amazing! Juicy and tender, seasoned well. The food was decent (I enjoyed the burger & queso, but the pretzel bites, fries and beignets were just alright). However, the service was some of the worst service I have ever had. We came in and waited to be greeted by the hostess. Maybe 10 minutes passed and 2-3 other groups also came in before we saw the hostess and she had the sourest attitude I've seen that wasn't a snotty teenager arguing with their mom. The tables were so close together and booths tight that multiple groups had to adjust chairs or add chairs to a booth to be able to fit their group of 4 comfortably. Tables were left dirty & covered with dishes - two tables we're left uncleared for the entire 2+ hours we were there until the hostess with the horrific attitude cleared one glass at a time with a truly horrible look on her face. At one point when the hostess was walking back to the front from the kitchen, a young child (maybe 3-4) was politely walking to her table and the hostess said something to the effect of "get out of my way" - to a toddler, behaving perfectly reasonably and the hostess wasn't even carrying anything that might topple over. Our waitress was not much better than the hostess. While she was mostly pleasant, after 45 minutes we had to flag her down to ask where our appetizer was and she apologized before bringing it out 10 minutes or so later. It wasn't so busy that the kitchen was behind - I think she just forgot to put the order in or the kitchen forgot to fire it. We had placed our dinner order at the same time, and that came out shortly after the appetizer for 3 of the 4 of us. The 4th member of the party had to wait 10 minutes or so for her chicken wrap to come out. Flagging down our waitress for the check was also a challenge. She would disappear for long stretches of time. Service was truly appalling and we were there for over 2.5 hours for what we had expected would be a quick and delicious dinner. Great brew house in the Beverly neighborhood. Ordered a flight and every beer delivered its unique flavors. The Rueben egg-rolls are worth a try and I highly recommend the double stack burger. A fun small craft brewery with a small but tasty menu. As you enter you immediately noticed the western theme with comfortable tables and chairs. Not noisy so it was easy to converse around our table of 6. The service was ok but not great. Our waiter got the job done but without a lot of enthusiasm. I tried a few of their beers and would go back for the Tripple and the Pilsener. We started with their tasty chicken wings, Between burgers, breakfast burrito and a salad everyone left happy. Checked out this brewery in Beverly. Horse Thief Hollow is a long time local favorite and is one of the best hangouts. It has not only great beer but great food too. For certain not a humongous menu but it's big enough. The prices are pretty okay for being locally owned. Best place around here for craft beers of course. It's got a kitchen so also eat. The beers are the main things though. Has a pretty okay amount. It's about $6 a pint. Best one we had of these was the Kitchen Sink, which is an American pale ale. Light enough to enjoy a few and not be tripping. Also they have a kitchen. The menu is mostly meaty but there's a few plant based options. It's about $9 for a cup of Beyond Kitchen Sink Chili. This of course uses the same beer in it, and it's plant based with Beyond protein. Everyone can find a beer or food here to their liking. It's got vegan chili which actually tastes like the real stuff. They're closed Tuesdays. read more

Decent brewery in the Beverly area. I went during lunch. Quite surprised it wasn't busy. It was busy for Christy (think that's her name) because she was the only 1 bartending and taking care of the tables. If you are looking for beer and bourbon/ whiskey this is a go to. They don't look like they offer other spirits. Christy was very efficient and apologetic, but you could see she was busy. I had the gumbo and turkey burger. The "gumbo" just needed some rice and the roux was thicker than gumbo I'm used to but it was definitely the right spice level and flavor. I will order a bowl next time instead of a cup. I also had their turkey burger which I've had before but I haven't been in a while so I think they made changes to their menus. This burger was ok. Hey ya'll, I had opportunity to visit this brewery during my travels to Chi-town with my family. First thing have to mention our servers Tom and waitress was amazing! Super friendly vibe which will always make me come back for more. It's a brewery so started off with the flight and enjoyed the craft beer varieties. For meals we ordered the gumbo which was so delicious with good balance of southern flavors and spice. The wings were freshly made and not over sauced which I liked. Super crispy but juicy. We also order the burger with over easy egg was juicy cooked perfect medium. I was so full and nice portion for the price. Tom/server mentioned they offer brunch on Sunday so would like to come back to try the bbq ribs and lemon ricotta French toast next time I'm in town. Give it a try folks and support local! Out of the gate Colleen was a 5-star server start to finish. Her enthusiasm was genuine and welcoming, so informative about beers / menu. With one dinner in town, landing halfway from DC to AZ, Horse Thief Hallow was our #1 choice. A choice we did not regret. Solid beers, began with the Soul Train (Sour). 5-stars again. Don't let the color fool you, it is a pucker sour as intended. Annexation and Squeeze box also delicious, in that order. Restaurant SUPER clean. Pulled pork lean, not too spicy, the Mac n' cheese is incredible, with panko crumbs under a broiler - perfectly crispy and served in cool miniature cast iron. Grass fed burger, wonderful. Half rack of baby backs, meat fell off the bone, prepared wonderfully. When returning to this area, Horse Thief Hallow Brewing will be my go-to, thank you guys & gals. read more

From the "Northside" and was down South with some friends for a 5k. We always pick somewhere new to check out and this year it was Horse theif hollow. We enjoyed our beers and the food was good as well. This is a very family friendly establishment that definitely had more kids then adults when we visited. By 12:30 on a Saturday it was almost at capacity. It was worth the stop for sure. read more

Food is excellent. The best turkey burger I've had anywhere including making one myself! Statement also made by an out of state friend who had the turkey burger. I moved to the area 3 years and the food here is consistently great. Brought my parents here when visiting ...dad loved the old Tom gumbo soup and mom loved the then homemade duck sausage. I love their chicken wings, I ask for well done. The wings are meaty and the Memphis sauce is bliss. When ordering to go they pack every item so well and separately nothing gets ick! And the veggies are always an amazing mix of fresh seasonal veggies! When I have leftovers veggies I make a stellar omelet! Please finish off your meal with the flourless chocolate cake, drool! 5 of us went to the restaurant around 6:00pm today. The restaurant was very chilly inside with the front door open. We asked if they could close the front door and our server came back after asking her manager, and told us that she was told that the door would not be closed. The manager wanted to keep the door open, even when we had asked to have it closed because we were chilly. Other people in the restaurant were wearing jackets and light coats, just as we were, but that didn't matter to the manager. We have gone to this restaurant several times, and we have had no problems. The food that we ordered was sub par for three of the people in our group. All three of them ordered the Backyard Grilled Angus Burger and all stated that they were very dry. They were all made to order, each one differently as far as wellness. Very disappointed in the quality of the food ordered. Don't think we will be returning to the Horse Thief Hollow any time soon. read more

I was really impressed with the food, beer, and service here! I was visiting family in the area and haven't had the best experience food or atmosphere-wise at most pubs nearby. Horse Thief Hollow has a great vibe and inviting atmosphere with local art on the walls and a comfortable seating area. Our server was prompt and friendly and patient with our party! We tried a flight of beer and found them to have creative ingredients and good execution. We would have taken a 6pack to go but they were currently out! The food here was really good! We started with the charcuterie plate which had a large variety of meats and cheeses. We also ordered the empanada trio with one shrimp, pork, and corn/poblano empanada and chimichurri sauce. The empanadas were perfectly fried, not greasy and obviously fresh to order, and the stuffing was plentiful. I ordered the lamb burger which comes with goat cheese, tomato jam, arugula, and red onion. The patty was a good size(try the goat burger at Little Goat Diner it's tiny!) and the tomato jam and goat cheese are a great flavor combination. I also got the buttermilk slaw as my side which was lightly dressed and refreshing. My party also ordered Old Man Tom's gumbo with shrimp, blue crab, clams, and house-made andouille. The gumbo was chock full of meat and had a great consistency! It wouldn't seem out of place in New Orleans. Lastly there was the Lieutenant Dan sandwich which was a po'boy sandwich with fried Gulf shrimp, sriracha mayo, pickled veggies, cilantro, jalapeño, and shredded lettuce on toasted French bread.
