Great healthy place option for a quick lunch with being able to choose the exact ingredients you want. Assembly line like process whet you chose salad or wrap and specify what goes in it. Most of the people were ordering salad. I ordered wrap and eating realized why it works better as salad - it was bit too bulky and dry without extra dressing. I love Evergreen Salads (regular customer at the Westlake location) but I'm not impressed with the UVillage location. I noticed some unhygienic practices. Two of the female workers preparing our salads did not have their hair tied back. I don't know about you but the thought of hair in my salad makes me want to vomit. Also, one of the workers also used the same gloves she uses when preparing salads to move a dirty ladder to get chips in an overhead compartment and proceeded to use the same gloves to break up said chips. I probably won't purchase salads from this location again. read more

This is my fav place for salad! First of all it's in the heart of Uvillage and who doesn't wanna have salad while you can sit and enjoy the beautiful Uvill! I stopped by Evergreens for a quick salad while I was at U-Village shopping and running errands. I'm currently doing whole-30 so I need something that worked and this fit the bill. The decor and ambiance was nice - clean and modern. There was a lot of seating, but it's mostly communal (a large bar area) or small tables. I'm giving it 3 stars because of the value. I thought that the salad was fine, but it seemed pricey for $9-10. I got the Dice-Dice Baby (with no cheese). It did not knock my socks off but it was pretty solid if you are looking for a good salad. The ingredients were fresh, but I wish I had more of the toppings. My salad came with chicken, but it didn't seem that abundant in the salad. I prefer Mod Pizza for their salads - no fuss, any ingredients you want for a flat price. I think that if I was still on Whole 30 during another time, I would probably grab a salad from Evergreens, but I wouldn't go out of my way to go here for lunch. read more

Okay, I have so many opinions about this place and am very inconsistent with how I feel because each visit is so different. Some times my visits are issue free, but other times I feel like they have a few aspects to improve. Constantly on a time crunch, Evergreens is one of my favorite places to go. It's super convenient, and for someone who wants a healthier option, this is honestly the best place to be. But they are just so fast paced, it's hard to catch up. During my first ever visit, I was confused with the layout and ordering system, so it took me a while to figure it out. But the staff did not seem very happy with my inability to quickly order. It was more frustrating because there wasn't another customer behind me, so I don't know what the rush was for. This was not the best first impression I would've wished for and therefore lead me to not eat here for nearly a year. But just recently, I figured to give this place one more shot. Actually knowing what to do is recommended because the staff is not very helpful. My second visit was issue-free and so I've been going quite often (especially when I was on my Whole30 diet). But this has been hard on my wallet (eek), cause it's quite pricey and the bills add up. I understand that the ingredients are fresh, but I wish they had a reward system or something of that sort cause it'd help regular customers like me. Overall, I do enjoy this place but have been needing to take a break with Evergreens cause it's quite pricey. I do recommend it to anyone who wishes for a healthy and fresh option, because you can personalize it to your content, but know that the base price is $9 and it only goes up from there to even add some of the most basic ingredients. read more

The last 3 orders my salads have been wet, gritty and in today's salad a chunk of something that was not chicken. Yuck. What's a bummer for Evergreen Salads is I post feedback to UberEats - and crickets. The marinated flank steak is juicy & flavorful, the pickled red onions pack a tangy punch, and the blue cheese dressing is neither too "stinky" nor too heavy. Throw some bacon bits on there and BAM, salad of my dreams yo. I have always enjoyed create-your-own salads at high-end grocery stores, but my creations never seem to "work" just right. At Evergreens, the vegetables are chopped up into conveniently bite-sized pieces. There are 14+ different dressings to choose from, rather than the standard boring selection found at a grocery store. Furthermore, your salad will be perfectly tossed for an even distribution of dressing throughout. Quick, easy, efficient. Great for a workday lunch break, or healthy meal while shopping at U Village. Good salads, but expensive and not completely satisfied. I built my own salad and for one order, it's a lot of food. I like to add protein to my salad and am willing to pay the extra $3. So I decided to get steak. I literally got 4 cubes of steak. That's ridiculous. I paid almost $1 for each cube of steak. The salad tasted good, but that portion for $3 put a bad taste in my mouth. I also felt very rushed when I was making my salad. No one else was in line and it was my first time ordering. I also felt that the assembly line was messy and it wasn't appetizing to look at. Honestly, I don't really get the whole salad thing and typically always find any other healthy substitute just so I don't have to choke down those tasteless greens, raw onion, large tomato slices and wayyy too thick cut cucumbers with some balsamic vinaigrette drenched over the top. Evergreens is anything but that experience. Their salads are so involved and hearty but still healthy (most of them). The ability to request less dressing is a huge plus and they're FAST! I love the whole fast-casual concept and they've done an exceptional job with it. This is like the best salads from your favorite local restaurants under one roof, for a decent price, and no tip required. Excellent combinations, wonderful ingredients, delicious house made dressings. Generous portions. Great interior design. UVil restaurants are, for the most part, blazingly mediocre. I got the Spicy + Kale Caesar with the optional grilled Chicken. It was a good salad. I would go back and get it again. a little bit of burn. and the little bit of chicken gives a nice little protein in the salad. it was ironic because i had gotten a caesar with filet the previous day from Ruth's Chris and the salad was drenched in dressing. it was pretty bad. i didn't finish it. but here, you get asked how much dressing you want. so it was about as perfect timing to get a light load of dressing. I would say it was pretty much the perfect amount of dressing that i would want. it's fast casual style, but no booze :( relatively fast service considering that make it in an assembly line right in front of you. It's the old taco bell style of making food, except it is done right in front of you, and it costs a lot more than taco bell. the restaurant is pretty loud inside. and the checkout is super fast with no guilt trip about giving a tip by having the cash register flipped around at you while the cashier stares at you give a tip. it's all self serve, so there isn't really a need for the traditional tip for service given by a server. read more

Got the spicy kale Caesar salad. Added chicken, and it was a good choice. Partner got the EG BBQ wrap which was much tastier. Added the steak to it. I would recommend the BBQ wrap over the Caesar. Store layout is a bit funky and the line is quite long, depending on when you show up. There's just a strange flow for ordering. Placing an order with the first person who sets the bowl up, then you have to tell the person working the additions what you're getting, and finally the person on the cash wrap. POS system is quick and efficient but the problem I have with these systems are the suggested tip rates. Automatically converted to a % of total order. This is how you tip for full service, not a fast food place where you order at a counter, find your own table and throw away all of your own trash. Because of this, I didn't leave a tip. Be realistic with how you set this up and you will see a better response (ex. $1,$2,$3 etc.). Guarantee I'm not the only one who would agree with this. Seating is cramped and there is a long war table to sit at, but it's also a quick in-and-out food option so you can't really expect much. Overall, I would suggest this if you're over Chipotle and you want something easy and somewhat healthy. read more

I ended up having to leave because the girl cleaning made it very evident that she didn't want us dining in. She was mopping literally around our feet, and under the table where we were sitting at while trying to eat. I found this extremely disrespectful, and uncalled for. The opposite side of the establishment could have been cleaned while we were eating. Or she could have simply asked us to move. Great salad! But the employees here ruin the experience. Every time I go in I feel I am an inconvenience to the workers, yet it is there job. They are extremely rude and mean. Every time I leave I feel uneasy. I go here often and this is not just a one time thing, I have even spoken to friends about it. They don't smile, they don't acknowledge you, they are some of the most inconsiderate people I've ever experienced. If I am paying $15 for a salad I expect the employees to not seem upset as I am making my order. I am not to trying to tear them down, which seems like they are always trying to do to me, but something must change.
