Came here twice and over the course of those two visits, I have to say Seattle Dumpling House, SDH is decent, but not really for its value. First visit I got The Emerald city Dumplings - "Tender steamed dumplings filled with a savory blend of chicken, fresh vegetables, and aromatic herbs. Served with our signature Chili Crunch and house Sweet Soy and finished with green onion and roasted sesame." In short, good, but they lacked a lot of what was described and only partly resembled what the picture looks like. At almost $15 a tad steep. On a follow up visit I shared a --Braised Pork Gua Bao - Seattle-style char siu, tender and juicy 8hr-slow cooked pulled pork, sriracha aioli, sweet pickled purple onion, garnished with cilantro and sesame. Again, very good, but pretty much $9 a pork bao, $18.50 in total. We also got the Savory Jade Pork & Chili Wontons I believe which were good, but not as good as the Emerald City Dumplings which I recommend out of the bunch. SDH is wisely posted up right next to Sea Monster so when there is a break in a show, waves of people come out to order food. The food is decent, but you can do way better at the nearby 'Dumpling the Noodle' just a couple blocks away both for quality and presentation. SDH does have being open late to its advantage being open until passed 2AM, however. I also don't like how you must order through QR and fumble around the website on your phone to order which I'm sure makes it manageable on the staff but it's a peeve of mine. If you're out late though and don't want Dicks, but dumplings instead at a bit of a premium price point, SDH isn't bad. read more

What a hidden little gem! Here's the scenario: We were hungry, it was after midnight and all of our regular places were closed, and we didn't want to eat fast food. Essentially, we had no options, but in a last ditch effort my daughter found this place, and I honestly didn't believe it was really open. Anyway, we ordered online and off I went. When I arrived on 45th, everything looked dark, and I thought maybe I had the location wrong. So, I stopped and checked the map. Nope, I was in the right place, and I started thinking "there goes our money...". I decided to turn around and drive really slow. Everything still looked closed, but as I drove by the intersection at Bagley, I saw this light that at first looked like a security floodlight at the back of a building, but as I looked closer, I saw people. Well, Lo and behold, there it is! This little stand at the door in back of the building! I'm not sure who put the pictures on Google maps, but the location looks nothing like the pictures. So now, here's what you really care about. They are in fact open until 3:30am every day. It is not a typo. The food was good, and the employees are super nice! We tried the pork soup dumplings, emerald city dumplings, savory jade pork dumplings, golden sunrise shao mai, spiral cucumber salad, and the coconut mango sticky rice. They have great food! Very limited menu but everything is made with consistently good quality. This makes it a bit over the price I would normally pay for similar food but I like to eat at locally owned places. It is pick up forward with little to no place designated to eat around and delivery would bump up the bill a bit. Always very friendly and just online ordering base, no person to order to. I was extremely disappointed with the Seattle dumpling house. Yelp suggested it had seating to eat indoors but when we arrived it was an outside stand with no seating or heat. It was cold and dark and the wait for our food that we ordered using the QR code on the sign next to the booth was very long. The one staff member at the booth was not there for about 80% of the time. The food is very expensive for small portions and the only positive part about this spot is that it's open late. There isn't a parking lot either, and of course, no restroom. Seattle needs more late-night spots, but not like this one. read more

Located outside around the corner from Sea Monster Lounge, it is run by the sweetest couple ever who are working sleepless nights to share their love of late night food. That's right it is only run by TWO PEOPLE!!! Please go show these guys love!! Pull up and have a chat with them, they are so friendly & are all about the community. As someone who can't seem to find good food anywhere past midnight i highly recommend this place!! If you are impatient i would recommend placing an order ahead as they do need time to prepare but we had no problem waiting! (~15min) We got the Braised Pork Gua Bao & the Savory Jade Pork Wontons. Very good dumplings! They don't have a ton of vegetarian options or vegan options. Everything they do does also contain sesame in some capacity if that's relevant. The service was great though because they did call to check on that. It's a cute little window so there's no seating but there are some benches nearby if you'd like to sit and eat right away. read more

Food was ok, not mind blowing. The braised pork gua bao was on the saltier side especially the parts with the sauce. The wontons and shao mai were pretty good. The curry dumplings were good in taste but the texture was kind of pasty. I find that's the case with most vegan food though. The mango sticky rice was also good! I liked the three different flavors of sticky rice, but the mango was super sour and kind of hard/stringy it also couldve been because it wasnt mango season i guess. super great late night spot! would definitely order ahead if it's a busy weekend to skip the line :) a literal hole in the wall packed with great food!! we ordered the garden of eden yellow curry dumplings, jade wonton ramen bowl, sichuanese cucumber salad, and mango coconut sticky rice. all of the dumplings were good but we weren't the biggest fans of the yellow curry sauce but the ramen bowl was spectacular. the cucumber salad had great depth in flavor but lacking crunchiness while the sticky rice was perfectly sweetened :) would definitely come by again but wished they had more options on the menu!! read more

Dumplings are not bad, but not worth the price. Ordering online adds an automatic 20% tip, and Xiao long bao is $14 for 7! Pretty expensive for dumplings that are mid and ended up giving me a stomach ache, couldn't sleep that night. Service is nice and the stand is aesthetic. But not ideal for rain, we went on a rainy day and stood in the pouring rain while we had to duck our heads under lanterns to order under the roof of the stand. Parking is difficult and the street it's very dark and unwelcoming. Worth a try but will probably not be returning. read more

I am so glad I got to try Seattle Dumpling House before even stepping onto Yelp! I heard good things from a friend for late night dumplings and I knew I had to try it out myself! I was in the area with another friend and we decided to give them a call first and see if it was okay to stop by in person (they do not have a dine-in area, mostly ordered through third party delivery apps. They said we could swing by, so with a hungry appetite at 1AM after drinking at the bars, we decided get our grub on. Driving to the location can be a little difficult in the dark, so be sure to give them a call if you need help getting to the pick up destination, it's in a quiet little neighborhood area. Look for the patio area (closed for a different restaurant) and you'll see a door. We weren't sure what to get so we tried to order a little bit of everything. Starting off with the Savory Jade Wontons (now listen here, I'm not supposed to be eating meat right now due to health reasons but I couldn't help but order a second one!!) yes, it's that good! Next up, because I said above I shouldn't be eating meat, I ordered the Garden of Eden dumplings and now THOSE were frikken delicious and nothing like I've had before! I've been to the mainstream hype dumpling restaurants in Seattle and Bellevue but these were quite unique! If you like curry flavors, you'll love this one! The dumpling skins are just so soft, melts in your mouth, the meat/filling is the perfect portion, and the sauces are just *chef's kiss* We really wanted to try the Pho but they were sold out for the night, but we did get to try the Gua Bao and that was FULL of pork, the buns were so fluffy, I almost cancelled my vegan detox LOL! Shame on me I know. Currently they are giving out tiny samples of their Mango Sticky Rice and I am madly obsessed with Mango Sticky Rice and I just love how they have different flavors they are currently testing out! You can't miss out on this dessert. Now for the two of us, we didn't have a big enough belly to order everything but we were told the Jade Wonton Ramen Bowl is the best seller, so I will definitely be trying that out next time but the fact that they are open till 3AM? The good: the service and the people running it. Great guys and you can tell they love running this place and appreciate the customers. The not-so-good: The broth for pho is pretty good they just don't give you enough. Small portions for a way jacked up prices(their pho and ramen bowl is slightly smaller than a small pho bowl in pho places. And it's 20 bucks for a smaller than average pho with 3-4 meatballs when I can get a small bowl of pho for 12-13 bucks in Vietnamese restaurants). The 2 steam buns is nearly 20 bucks and small pieces of shumai is around the price range too. The neutral: It's takeout only place, there's no place to wait that's covered. They take time to prepare food but that's expected since the food is fresh. Would I go back? Maybe? I don't know tbh maybe just to order a side broth though I wonder what their wontons and dumplings taste like Tldr: Ordering in advance cuts down the wait times. I placed an order online for pick up and the estimated order time was incorrect. The cucumber was not sliced as thin as I expected (was more than half an inch thick) and did not have a bunch of flavor sticking to the cucumbers. The dumplings were very good though! I ordered through the QR code they have outside, no human interaction at all, yet they automatically select a 20% tip for you! I have no problem tipping but as long as it's worth it but there's not even a place to sit unless you want to sit in a noisy bar.
