One warning is please prep your place before their guys come to cover your bed furniture. It gets dusty. On the day off Ralph and pablo came at 8am on saturday. I didnt prep at all. But they were patient and waited for me to prep and they helped out. There job is not to prep their job is to insulate the walls and help clean up a bit. We just had our house re/insulated. We had the old insulation in the attic removed and replaced with new, we also had the west facing walls of our house insulated for the first time. Everything they did was professional, they were polite with "old school" manners, and their work ethic and clean up were excellent. They also offered more for the money than the 2 other quotes we got. One of which was to replace our canned lights for us. We just had to have the lights here and they would have popped them in. (They are are retro fit, sealed, low energy/long life, and changing them is just a matter of pulling the old out and plugging the new in.) We ended up doing that ourselves, but it was nice to offer that service. To do the walls, they made several holes and blew the insulation in those, and then patched the stucco. The patch job is excellent and they had the stucco so close to our house color, that touch. Up for me, will be very easy. We have already recommended them to another friend who needs to do the same. And should we decide to insulate the rest of the house, we will use this company! I forgot to write down the name of the crew on the first day, but the second day we had Ralph and Luis. We previously used Everguard Home Insulation to insulate a duplex we own. We were very impressed with the job that was done that time, so we hired Everguard to blow in insulation into some walls in our own home, and also to do the same thing to the south facing wall at a triplex that we own. Ralph from Everguard showed up on time and did a great job (as he had done the first time. Ralph and his helper were both very polite and worked fast and non-stop until the job was done. They asked the right questions and did a great job. These guys were great. I made a few calls around to get some quotes but these guys had a great deal for people with very little insulation. They came in and did the job quickly without any problems. They allowed us to take a look in the attic afterward and it was some beautiful shredded cellulose material. Before coming in, they gave us advice to change the light bulbs to LED ones so that overheating doesn't occur. My brother in law recommended Everguard and it was the only company that had to call because they gave me the best price hands down. They don't nickel and dime you. I was able to add to my existing insulation that I already had which brought it up for code R38. I have a two story house and man it gets up to about 88 degrees during the summer. Every since I have added the insulation the temperature up stairs reaches about 75 degrees which keeps the second story cooler during the day and stays about the same temperature at night. read more

I got 5 different attic insulation company estimates prior to making a decision. Everguard was the only company who didn't recommend that we have all of our attic insulation removed, as part of their estimate. Steve explained that our existing insulation was not in bad shape & didn't require removal - only spot cleanups where rats had nested in the past. In researching the different types of insulation available, I found that the insulation used by Everguard was slightly more advantageous (on sealing airflow & preventing rats) & came with a lifetime guarantee on the R-value rating. Just wanted to say thanks to Steve and his crew at Evergaurd Insulation who just completed the debris clean up and insulation installation at my home in Lakewood. Clean up done on Friday by Austin and Luis, on time, very clean prep.on walls & floors, covered everything in plastic and paper. Took photos and sent them to me when job was completed, and left my home clean. Today The crew came to install insulation, JR & Gustavo, called to let me know they were in transit, covered up everything as needed and installed the insulation and cleaned up the minor mess left by the equipment used. They were fair priced, I did get 2 other bids for the work needed but felt the most comfortable with Everguard, they did not try to upsell me with all the stuff other companies try to sell and they do not sublet their work like the other companies do. There was a little confusion the next day and they didn't come out that morning, but we called them and they came out and finished. I needed to call Everguard because there was rat droppings everywhere in my attic. Thankfully no rats. I had a great experience with Everguard. They gave an upfront quote based on the square footage of the house for removal of my insulation and putting back new installing. They also worked with me after the removal and delayed the install to a later date so I could put in can lights, solar tubes and attic fans while it was all clear. The day of the install there was a hole in the ceiling that needed to be patched still but would not have insulation after they left. I asked if they could leave me a bag of their material so I can fill that in after they left. They were kind of enough to do so and gave me instructions on best way to put in. I would use them again. Our 60's house was built with no insulation in the attic. Despite being only a couple miles from the beach, it could get over 90 inside on hot summer days. I called four companies with good reviews on Yelp. One never called back, one called back after the work had been done, one promised a quote that never arrived. Everguard gave me a quote over the phone that I thought was reasonable and offered to do the work within a week. Their installers were friendly and professional. There was a faint smell akin to wet newspaper from the cellulose insulation that was completely gone after a couple days. While we haven't gotten to the hot weather yet, I notice the temperature inside the house stays remarkably constant. Even when the attached uninsulated garage is warm the house is fine. We put in a new A/C system a couple of years ago but with these recent heated summers found that the two rooms that go direct sun on the side of the house, our two bedrooms, would not cool down. You could touch the walls and it would practically burn your hands. My husband did some research and found that insulating the walls could help and so we called Everguard. So glad we did and wish we had done it two years ago. Friendly. Timely. Did the drilling of the holes and filling all from the outside so no mess. Only took a few hours. It is in the low 80's today and those rooms are cool - the walls cool to the touch. Not expensive and the cherry on the sundae: you get a rebate from the Gas Company. Terrific company. I recently purchased a new home in the valley and wanted lower the scorching temperature in my house which I knew was coming from my attic. I decided to install radiant barriers to the attic and went on Yelp to check out a few attic installers/providers (in the top 10 of Yelp). I originally chose one company and received a quote that my gut was telling me was high, but even so, I placed a deposit for their service. Due to the recent hot temperatures in the valley, this company could not schedule me in for an installation for another two weeks. Fortunately for me, with the wait, I went with my gut and shopped around while I had the chance to request more quotes. One response that stood out was from my numerous request for quotes was from Steve at Everguard. After a few back and forth exchanges of messages, I received an email on a Saturday evening asking me to give him a call since he would like to learn more about my property size before he could make an informed decision on an estimate. So I called...the call took place on a Saturday evening at 9:31 pm and lasted approximately 19 minutes (from my iPhone records). Steve was patient, friendly, candid and transparent while explaining to me the proper expenses relating to the radiant barrier installation. At that point, I knew I had more comfort with Steve and his family own business. And I also knew that I was absolutely being overcharged from the first company. As a result, the next day, I canceled the scheduled job with the first company; requested a credit refund; and engaged with Everguard. In addition to being available to speak, Steve was also able to schedule a visit from his staff to check out the home within a few days after the call; During the scheduled visit, the Everguard team arrived on time and were friendly. First, they took a look at the attic and did some approximate measurements. Then, they provided an estimate for me to decide whether to do the installation at that point. I decided to accept the quote and had them initiate the installation. I thought the process was seamless. There was no pressure or heavy sales job which I found refreshing. I could have declined the quote, and they would have been on their way somewhere else. Just a note - the same guys performing the installation were the same team that provided the quote. Again, not a hard sale from a commissioned salesperson like other competitors in the area that I experienced. Due to the extremely hot weather and high temperature (+106 F outside) and even higher, in my attic, the job took longer than 1 day, which is understandable. They completed the installation in the attic and garage area in two days. I can definitely feel the cooler temperature in garage due the ventilation from the garage door being opened. For my house, I noticed that the radiant barrier is reducing the indoor temperature slightly. Although Everguard does not install attic fans, they did suggest that I install one for the home which, in combination with the barrier, could potentially reduce the indoor temperature. Furthermore, during the second day, I asked the Everguard team to check out my insulation level. It turned out that I have minimal fiberglass insulation level. As a result, they were able to add insulation R38 at a reasonable rate. And during the insulation process, one of member of the team (Roy) noticed that the attic above the master bedroom was block and it turned out that it was an add-on to the original structure but did not need radiant barrier (i.e. it already had it built-in with the wood roof). As a result, he remeasured the house for the smaller square footage and reduced the original quote to the more accurate measure. Roy's experienced with recognizing the smaller area square footage and reducing the cost really reinforcing my decision to hire Everguard for the job. He could have not said anything and continue to charge me the higher original quote. But he was honest and transparent. Overall, Everguard is a fantastic company to hire for insulation and installation of radiant barriers. Their workers appear hard working, loyal, and experienced. The installation team was professional and took care of making sure everything was cleaned after the job was done. They took pride in their work, and I can appreciate that. They also have amazing customer services; phone and email communication was wonderful with scheduling and payment done with Cynthia. I'm very happy with the whole process (honest and straight-forward​) from start to finish. And I would absolutely recommend their service! read more
