My bedrooms on the second floor of my townhouse had become really hot in the evenings. I decided to add more insulation to see if that would help. A gf had it done years ago and said it did make a difference in her house. After researching info on Consumer Reports and AI, I started interviewing companies and getting quotes. His quote was very fair and much less than the first one I received from another vendor who acted surprised that I knew what a R rating was. After receiving quotes from several places to add insulation to our attic and crawl space, we decided to move forward with Dustin and his team due to pricing and ability to move quickly. They were knowledge and very good at communicating. They were able to schedule our project quickly to fit our schedule which we appreciated. During insulation, there was a minor mishap where some electrical wires were accidentally loosened in the attic by the crew, causing part of our kitchen to lose power (we used extension cords temporarily to keep the fridge running). Dustin worked with us to get an electrician to fix the issue. He communicated very well throughout the whole process to ensure we were happy. Insulation Nation was a great company to work with. Dustin spent a good amount of time telling me about the insulation options (pros and cons) and listened to all my questions. I had a couple quotes some higher and some lower and Dustin and I were able to negotiate a bit for a fair deal so both of us were happy. My house was built in 1979 and I believe had the original batt insulation that was, to be honest, a piece of crap now. I ended up going with batt insulation building on top of the old to save on the removal cost plus added the radiant barrier on the ceiling. They even most a vent for me which another company was unwilling to do. I appreciate this flexibility so I didn't have to bring in someone else to move that vent. I can already feel the benefits of this insulation....it's made a big difference and was totally worth it Job was done in a day and working with Aldo and guys was excellent. Tough job going into those heated attics during the day but I provided many Gatorades! They taped off everything, protected the floors and vacuumed up any leftover debris after the job.
