I do not recommend this place. Previous owner, Dr. DiMino was a 5 start eye doctor that I saw for over 15 years.  He recently sold the practice to Everlasting Eye Care 2, which is the reason for the two stars.... The new doctor, was extremely friendly and definitely set up a state-of-the-art office with all the proper technology and staff. Unfortunately, I found that they really went after the money.  Two different eye drops.  Charging medical insurance along with Vision insurance. Previously visits with Dimino were completely covered by vision insurance. With Everlasting I wound up dropping a couple hundred before I knew it. Was led to believe there was an issue with my eyes! Glasses which were usually covered completely by insurance came in at $400... did not purchase. Now looking for a new eye doctor. I do not recommend Everlasting Eye Care 2 read more

Absolutely great experience -- pro staff that communicate well, understanding and super compassionate.  Apparently some other people have had opposite experience of me but I just can't understand how... it's almost like they put their review on the wrong business or something?!  Like seriously, those people are on another planet :-/ Dr. MyAn Nguyen has taken -great- care of me, every single time I've been there. Two months ago I went in for contacts which I haven't worn in over 10 years, so it's almost like I'm a total noob.  Dr. Nguyen worked with me on a budget, gave me very clear directions on what to do at home as I continue to practice getting used to them, we've had a couple follow-up visits to tweak things, and everything has gone so well. Also, my granddad had glaucoma and so I'm at high risk, and the Dr. has explained to me how it all works and got me a minimal-fuss prescription that totally takes care of it (my numbers are way down into the good range now, instead of being up in the risk range). 100% top notch, definitely recommend.  Thanks again so much!!! read more

WARNING: DO NOT SEE DR. NGUYEN. She is handling Dr. Joseph Diminos patients and she and her staff should NOT be practicing! On 4/15/2021 the exams/tests were conducted by a (self admitted) new technician who struggled with the equipment and could not answer any questions about the test she was performing. Worse, the doctor told me that I have Age Related Macular Degeneration which her staff confirmed in writing to my family physician as well as glaucoma and cataracts. My doctor referred me to a Ophthalmologist/doctor who performed a very thorough exam yesterday and she told me that I do NOT have Macular Degeneration, glaucoma or cataracts because she could see that I had them removed in 2014. I don't need supplements which are expensive, just drops for dry eye. This woman should NOT BE IN PRACTICE. read more

Giving one star is being generous. Dr. DiMinio retired & sold practice to Everlasting Eye Care. I called to make an appointment to at least give the new practice a chance. After getting some bad vibes (they asked for my medical insurance despite already having my vision insurance info) I decided to read some Yelp and Google reviews. I felt like they were going to try to double dip insurances so I decided to call back and cancel. Found another Dr so I asked for my medical records. Everlasting wants $30 to process. I reluctantly gave my credit info and was told I would get the info in time for my other appointment (2.5weeks from that date) I called the day of the appointment. Got Dr. Nguyen answering the phone. After some back and forth, she said she'd look for my records. She couldn't find it in the system and had to check the paper files in storage. (She claimed she sent my glasses prescription to the new Dr but didn't ) She said the delay was because her assistant was very sick. First said 2 days then changed it to 5 days with no idea when she'd come back. Flash forward to today, 2weeks AFTER my appt. She is now claiming her assistant quit, but when I explained she said her assistant was sick back then, she then changed to "sick then quit". She then tried to say DiMinio was holding records (hostage?) and only releasing them to her practice if she paid him. This was a lie. She bought the practice, building, furniture, eyeglass supplies and all. DiMinio has retired and doesn't have any records. She hung up on me and refuses to answer the phone. My files will most certainly be destroyed now. Do not go to Everlasting. They are very shady. read more

Do NOT go to Everlasting Eye Care or see Dr. MyAn T. Nguyen. I think she is shady and I did not get a good exam. I was not comfortable at the exam that she did not do the assessment for my double vision when I told her about it and then my glasses were not right when they came in. While she did reimburse me for the glasses it took MONTHS to get her to respond to the insurance company that she did accept my return so I could use my benefits again. She is shady for the following reasons: 1) she submitted my glasses as contacts to the insurance; 2) she sold me and my husband (separately) $85 in creams to clear up something on our eyes. While I was at the office waiting for my bad glasses, she sold this to someone else as well. She was also very rude and demeaning to her employee within my earshot. DON'T DO IT! read more

I am writing on behalf of my newly 18 year old daughter. We gave this doctor many chances, and time and time again, she showed herself to be unprofessional. If this is too long, skip to #3. 1) the doctor suspected my teenage doctor might have glaucoma (her father has it after an injury), and referred us to a specialist. Several hundred dollars later, the specialist said there is absolutely nothing wrong with my daughter's eyes - just near sightedness. 2) my daughter had a long standing yearly checkup scheduled for this past fall. We unexpectedly received a voicemail that the appointment was canceled. She was ready to run out of contacts, but the doctor made her wait another month before seeing her, forcing her to wear out-of-date glasses. 3) when she finally saw the doctor, the doctor claimed my daughter had already used this year's insurance benefits (though she had not been there in over a year) and incorrectly charged her $580 for her exam and contacts. She called me afterward, and I questioned her father (insurance account holder). He called the doctor and the doctor then charged HIM $440, and claimed they refunded my daughter's account. It has been nearly 3 months now and the refund has NOT gone through. No one from the doctors office will pick up the phone when I call. We have tried to dispute the charge, but without communication from the doctors office, we cannot prove that the $580 was wrongly charged. This office has stolen my daughter's money! read more

Sooo this just happened. Please to Do Not go to "Everlasting Eye Care" formally known as Dr. Dimino's Optometrist located on Germantown Pike. This was my first visit here. Came to office and they were under new management. They over billed me. Sent my insurance company one bill and gave me a different bill. Unbeknownst to them that I happened to call my insurance company who verified that that had a different bill from the one they issued me. So I went to Everlasting to get copy of my bill and they wanted me to come back. Only so they could write up fake one. But I told them I'll wait. Dr. MyAn T. Nguyen came out very RUDELY and told me to leave. I stated that I would like an itemized copy of my bill. She would not give to me a copy! Instead called the police. Where they do that at? Call the cops because you asked for a copy of itemized bill. When its FRAUD involved thats when they want to call the cops.. Check out her reviews on Yelp, Google and Everlasting Facebook page. This place deserves zero stars. I am not one to post such a negative review but felt the need to share our experience so others won't be taken advantage of like we were! We gave this place a try after Dr Dimino retired. Unfortunately, we had nothing but issues and were over charged and taken advantage of. Dr. Nguyen had me use all kinds of products on my eyes, saying they were infected. Then, she put both my husband and I on "preventative "drops. She scheduled follow up visits for us both and had the nerve to charge us over $80 for the visit. I had gone to another eye Dr for an emergency and he said my eyes were fine and I should not be on drops. My daughter also had issues with getting her prescription for contacts. They gave us her glasses script and said she never had a contact exam. We couldn't order her contacts because they dropped the ball. Needless to say, we gladly switched practices. I've also heard of 2 other incidents where patients were overcharged by this practice as well. read more

My fiancé recommended Everlasting Eyecare to me after his first visit with Dr. Nguyen. I had my first appointment with her and I could not be happier. She is so personable and down to earth and extremely thorough. I enjoyed my visit from start to finish. She genuinely cares about her patients and likes to get to know you on a personal level which is HUGE for me. The office is clean. She is also very reasonable with pricing and wants to give you the best pricing options. I am definitely recommending her! If you like smaller private practices, please come here. This was the worst experience I have EVER had with any physician. RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL AND DIFFICULT TO COMMUNICATE (language barrier). Appointment was made one week prior to visit, waited until I actually arrived at the office to state "I do not know how to bill for your insurances so I cannot see", "you can pay cash and I will see", I'll bet she would take cash! When stated that I felt it was inappropriate and inconsiderate to wait until arriving at the office to inform me that they weren't capable of properly billing for an insurance that they listed as accepting, she then said she refused to see my children. This appointment was for children not for adults. I followed up with the insurance, and was informed by them that she is grossly incorrect and also that is FRAUD. MY children were upset, and glad to leave and said after the way she acted, they wouldn't want to have been seen by her anyway. MY children missed school time because of the ineptness if this office! If I could give this place zero stars I would. This Dr. Nguyen is gross. I wish I would have researched this place before I wasted my time. Like the other reviews she asked for my Social Security Number, I told her I don't give that out, I had my insurance cards but she only wanted cash. When I told her I didn't have any cash, she gave me this mean look, than I heard her call me a "CrackerJack" under her breath. Who carries that much cash on them? I said goodbye, and as I was leaving I heard a clucking noise, I said, is that a chicken I heard? She said, it in cage!!! Said, I go to market buy live, healthy for you, chop head off at home, eat fresh! What a nutcase! Maybe this type of thing is commonplace in Vietnam, but we don't have live chickens in Drs. office in America, get with the program Dr. Nguyen. read more
