I had my first pedicure, and it was glorious! For those of you fellas out there who were like me and thought it was just a chick thing, you're missing out. I just am no good at clipping my own toenails. They end up all crooked and jagged. Or I cut too deep and bleed. I asked my wife Becky if she would include me in her next appointment at Forever Hair and Nails. It is more than just a toenail clip. It is relaxing in a massage chair, a foot Jacuzzi, a heel scrub, a foot massage, and the fabulous lower leg massage at the end. I walked in and was greeted by Amy who had me take a seat. Becky was in the chair next to me. She showed me the remote control for the chair. There was a plethora of different massage settings to choose from. I told Amy that it was my first ever pedicure. She was extra careful and gentle. I am one who doesn't like my feet messed with, but this was different. I very much enjoyed it. When she was finished my feet looked and felt great. As did my legs. She had this gel stuff that she applied to my calves and shins for a lower leg massage. It was great. I asked Becky from now on to book me too every time she makes an appointment. For women or men. Been coming here for years and they are great. Have had a variety of people take care of me, but I always see Kim. She's quick and always "cleans up the edges" which is a big one for me. They have a variety of options and are usually pretty busy but can get you in quickly. I have moved from the area and will still drive for the price and care. Completely worth it. I rarely post negative reviews but this has been bothering me. This review is based on customer service. Went in today (on a Monday), there were only 2 people getting pedicures and 3 nail technicians. The main technician/manager came out with her planner/calendar and said they were busy. She didn't offer me an appointment or suggest I come back at a later time. No explanation....nothing. Made me feel dismissed and like they didn't want to serve me. So I went to Luxe Nails in Santee and they did a great job! Felt welcomed and taken care of. Won't go back to Forever Hair & Nails. read more

Consistent great service & fair prices! I went back to San Diego for a visit, and waited until I arrived so I could get a pedi here! They are top notch when it comes to cleanliness & safety. Appointments stay on time & I've never had to wait more than a couple of minutes (of any) upon arrival. The manicurists are skilled in all the modern techniques, and do great work. Disappointed while writing this but I do want you to know how bad this really is. I have going here for about 3 years maybe even 4.. I have been going to the same person because she did it great job. Recently, tables have turned. Everything I asked for it shorter or more coffin or different shaped she wouldn't do it. So everytime she didn't do what I asked I end up breaking them almost everytime becuase they're to long.. then give her more work to do and I have to pay extra.. I started letting the manager know my complaints and she had said she let her know and it will be fixed. WOW was I lied to. I filed my nails down to the length and shape I WANTED and she said it was "to messy" your here to to do a fill and drilling it and shaping anyways it's not messy. JUST BECAUSE YOU DIDNT LIKE THE SHAPE DOESNT MEAN IT WAS MESSY. I LIKE EXACTLY HOW IT WAS. I used to do my nails I know how to reshape. So, she didn't like them and POPPED them all off!! I KEPT telling her it HURT and she still pushed! I started sweating so bad SHE knew and even turned the fan on and she didn't stop! I ended up with nails I hate I went home reshaped them AGAIN! Ended up with extremely tender nails for the entire week. Do not understand your ripping off the powder with a plastic nail when its not ready to come off. Yes this SH*T hurts. So I said maybe she just wants to do a full set. Okay, going on and I asked for shorter and she filled back and forth ONCE and I asked coffin and my nails are almost square. At this point I was over it. I didn't walk out with horrible nails I walked out with exactly what I didn't want.. AND she charged me for a full. So I took it out of her tip and left. Im not one to get service and not pay even if im upset. So today I text the manager and requested for another appt with her (the mananger) and she told me NO because Kim is like her sister and she will feel so bad?! I don't care how she feels?! She didn't care about my requests the last 4x and she hurt me bad the last time. If you as the manager "told" her and it's getting fixed why did she do worse and give me the worst service? The manager would rather loose a customer after 4 years instead of letting me go to another nail lady? Like seriously. What kind of buisness are you running? Simple request that easily could've been fixed but now I have to look elsewhere. SUPER disappointed in you all. read more

They are so nice here. They always take me in for same day appointment, I will just call about 30 mins ahead and will gladly take me in for either a mani/pedi or just pedi. They are always busy and their patrons keeps coming back. I've tired other nail salons that is in the area and they are expensive. The other places are not clean. 8 years later and this is still THE BEST NAIL SALON in east county! I have learned the hard way! I have moved a couple times in the past 8 years and have tried other salons that were closer or more convenient to me. Even new salons that opened that my friends raved about. All of the other locations (Q's Nails, MK Nails, Crystal's Nails, Style's Nails & Spa, Star Nails, and more) have been such disappointments......from not being timely with honoring appointments, being cut when having nails trimmed, bad work in general, employees that are short and rude with their customers, or nails that don't last, you name it, it's happened elsewhere! I honestly think that Amy is the only owner who actually cares about her customers and her employees. She is super upfront and honest about how long the wait is going to be or sends people away to come back later if they are totally booked. NO ONE else does this. Other places will say 15 mins and an hour later you're still sitting there waiting for a chair. Or you make an appointment and show up on time just to find everyone is busy so what's even the point of making an appointment if you have to sit around and wait anyway? I have never had a negative experience at Forever Hair & Nails. All of the people who work there are super friendly and great at what they do. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Not like some places where you feel like the staff is talking about or making fun of their customers. It is a smaller salon but everything is kept very clean and Amy is always there overseeing everything. You feel like you're part of the family while you are there. I told Amy I am just going to make the drive and commit to always coming here. I want to support businesses that actually care about their customers and do an amazing job at what they do. I've been going to Amy for my new sets and fills for over 15 years. She is extremely consistent, kind and organized. They commit to their bookings and are never late. I have anyone there do my pedicure. Forever hair and nails is a great team! The salon is clean, pedi chairs are comfy. You can tell majority of the clients have been going for a while just by how they greet the staff. Absolutely awful!! Completely ruined my nails for my wedding. I went in with a picture of what I wanted and had it sitting there the whole time. I wanted a squared oval shape with nude polish and white tips. The ring finger had no white tip but had a simple design on them. What I got was nothing close to what I wanted. The nails I got were too long with a clear base so you could see where she cut my natural nails down and glued the tips on. The white acrylic tips looked like they had already grown out for a month. She put a white tip on my ring finger and when it came to putting the design on my ring finger she realized it wasn't supposed to be there but made no effort to fix it. She didn't shape the nails whatsoever and only put a top coat on them. I walked out wanting to cry since my wedding is only 2 days away. read more

I have only visited Forever nails once, on a Sunday afternoon, and it was delightful. The chatter was minimal, mostly between clients and employees. Color selection isn't great, next time I think I'll bring my own (I prefer top brands to China glaze--I think they last longer). Prices are comparable to other shops. I had a mani pedi, so I was there a little over an hour, and didn't mind one bit. The seats are massage seats, it seems a clean facility and the restrooms are cleaned and checked regularly. read more

Everyone was super nice. I was greeted immediately after I entered the door. The nail technician brought me a binder containing a large sample of glittered acrylic nail tips. She extremely gentle, through and made sure that she completely removed all of the red glitter from my previous fill. And she cross checked, which so many technicians forget to do. In the end I got exactly what I wanted; the right color, shape, and length. The salon itself was clean and had a very pleasant vibe. After reading all the great reviews here on Yelp about this Salon and needing a salon that was open on Sunday's I decided to try this place. I was lucky enough to get an appointment to get my hair cut on the same day that I called which I was very happy about and their customer care was fantastic. These girls that work there are very sweet and friendly. Amy gave me a great cut! I couldn't be happier with it. I haven't had a great cut in a long time. I have tried several different salons over the past few years with mediocre cuts and that is definitely not the case for these cute little Salon. The first thing that I noticed was how clean and well kept the place was. I was greeted very warmly and felt very comfortable there. Something I feel a lot of Salons are lacking. Well it was cheap. They were pleasant enough I guess. I hate fake nails so I asked them to trim my nails and paint. Bottom mani pedi for $29.00. Plus $5 tip. I shouldn't have tipped but I always feel bad not to. So the bad part. Nobody wears name tags and they don't tell you their names... so I blame them all for the single persons actions. They cut my nails too short but also, she cut them down to the nail bed. One of my nails is uneven if you follow the nail bed only instead of making it's even. I asked her to fix the uneven nail and she blames my fingers. I have never ever been told my nails can't be even because of my nails?! Like maybe you shouldn't have cut them too short and uneven you idiot! But I responded with "you cut it too short and now yes it is unfixable. But this is your fault" and she had no response. My toes even have paint on them where she made a mess and didn't clean it up. Don't waste your money for the sub par service. read more

Emily did a good job on my nails. In the picture I have red & gold glitter powder color with gel coat over it over my real nails. My aunt got the cranberry gel polish over her real nail. My first time coming here. I'm so so picky about my nails. I was super worried going here. But my nail place closed down with the pandemic. My aunt and I tried this place. One of the owners Kim is the sweetest and always makes you feel like family! They are always very clean and professional. Great selection for pedicure options ranging from low $20s with a bunch of addons for up to about $35 I believe...the $30 pedicures include an extra 10 minutes of massage...so effing worth it!!
