Jill is absolutely sweet. She's friendly, which is difficult to across at most pilates centers. I've tried Zumba, Pilates, Yoga, and Barre, and the instructors I've had were all helpful and patient. While I loved all of them, I enjoyed my sessions with Celia, Heidi, Melanie, and Judy (I think?) the most; Judy observes and understands the level of your strength. I can't thank her enough for being patient with me yesterday. While the downside is that the rates are higher than market price, you do receive a more personal session. My posture has improved noticeably even after a few sessions (and trust me, four years of studying in college ruins your spine quite a bit). I don't regret choosing Every Body's Pilates over other alternatives, and I hope others can experience the same benefits as I did and do. read more

I love this studio! I am here 2-3 times a week. It's super clean, everyone's nice and friendly, and the instructors are amazing. Although I have only had reformer classes with Jen and Julie, I love them! They definitely try to get to know you and your body/strength/injuries/issues so they are able to provide the best modifications suited to your needs if necessary. The instructors also pay close attention to your form and alignment. The classes can be challenging and I absolutely love that. I go in the morning and parking is never an issue. read more

WOO HOO!!! I loved my experience at EBP! I took Barre Method with Charrise. It was a blast. She uses fun upbeat music. You find yourself singing as you move. Charrise goes through all the dance positions and will break it down for those who have never danced before. In addition, she takes you through floor progressions. The class also utilizes resistance bands and weights. You leave the class knowing you worked your whole body! The price is comparable to other studios in the area. Not bad for a drop-in studio. The other staff members are nice and the owner even joined in on the class I was in and said she had fun with us. read more

I love this studio, been coming for a couple of years. I had never tried pilates before starting here and now it's my go to form of exercise. I started attending classes at Everybody's Pilates about 2 months ago. After not doing too much exercise since my double mastectomy and chemo a year and a half ago, this has been my first attempt at getting back to a normal exercise routine (other than walking and hiking). I am relatively new to Pilates, and have only ever been to 3 different studios, but Every Body's Pilates is by far my favorite studio. I am pretty much addicted to Pilates at this point! The teachers are really in tune with all of their clients, making sure each person is challenged properly, knowing & remembering any injuries that need to be addressed. The studio is in a great building in Old Torrance with open beamed ceilings and brick walls, it's very clean and organized with lots of charm. The class schedule is great too with a good number of mat & reformer classes offered in the morning and evening. This is the first Pilates class I have ever taken and just realized that my core isn't as strong as I though it was. The reformer class kicked my butt, and really put my core to work. Everybody's Pilates-- the name says it all. This studio is truly for every type of body and fitness level. I started taking private sessions from Judy while recovering from spinal surgery and saw tremendous improvement. Judy even spoke with my Physical Therapist to make sure my sessions would be both safe and beneficial. At the time I could do very little actual Pilates work but Judy helped me strengthen everything slowly and today I am stronger and healthier than I have been in my life! Pilates can have a transformative effect on the body, but as with everything else, qualified professional instructors are imperative. I have taken classes with all of the other Pilates instructors at the studio and have found each and every one extremely knowledgable and easy to work with. They all understand that each body is different and even group classes are easily modified for different fitness levels and health issues. The different types and levels of classes makes it easy to match your fitness level so that classes are never too easy or too hard. Having to find a place to exercise specific to my needs is hard while traveling... As a Pilates instructor, on vacation, I found myself googling Pilates in Torrance and came across "every body's Pilates" and sent an email inquiring about classes and prices. I was responded too within hours with a lot of information ... And decided upon my arrival to Los Angeles, I would check out the facilities. CLEAN FRESH studio, and was greeted by the owner Jill who could have not been any more helpful. I was in town for 8 days...and ended up taking 6 classes from 5 different instructors ( thanks Jill, Judy, Julie, Tim and Kristina ) ....well rounded instructors as well as a beautiful studio with bevy of equipment options, to meet the needed of any level Pilates student....this nice airy studio should be the envy of any Pilates enthusiast. I started coming to this place because it was fairly close to me. This studio has a very clickish (sp?) vibe to it. When I started going there, another student spoke very rude to me, knowing I was new (this studio is not busy at all). the instructor saw it and didn't do anything to smooth out the situation. I've been to other studios where they actively promote a mutually respectful environment for everyone, not just for the regular students. The yoga instructor didn't have a positive energy either. She will get intimated by you if you don't fit into her comfort zone; it could be the way you look, whatever. I don't know how they stay in business. But if you're somewhat snotty and think you're better than the rest of us, you'll probably fit right in. read more

This pilates studio is in the center of old Torrance. Researched around the South Bay beforehand and I'm really happy I decided to go with Every Body's Pilates. Their package prices were the best ($25/reformer, $15/mat, $60/private), they have a lot of classes (but small, 6 or less), the location is convenient and their customer service is great. The owner was very nice and informative over the phone, really patient with all my dumb questions, and even met with me on a Saturday afternoon to give me a personal mini reformer demo for free to see if I liked it. No pressure to do privates because they have a 101 class for beginners. Didn't really know what to expect going in but I've been working out there for about 2 months now and have already seen results: especially more defined, stronger abs and less low back pain. It works! The classes are challenging but fun and they have a lot in the evenings after work so I have no more excuses.... btw Jill and Yuki are my favorites for pushing me to my limits. read more

After weeks of searching, I finally settled on this studio for mat classes. I have been to about 6 mat classes with 2 different teachers, and both do a great job. The facilities are nicely decorated, clean and professional. My only reservation is their schedule of classes for mat classes, which why I signed up. They do not offer lots of options or a uniform schedule say MWF at 9am, or T Th at 6pm...they're all over the map. When they do offer the mat classes, 2 out of 3 times we're on top of reformers not an exercise room. The just opened an exercise room, they just don't schedule the classes in there for some reason. I wish they had more mat classes on a regular schedule. My bad, I should have looked closer at their schedule before committing to a package. I will be looking elsewhere once my class package is done. read more

I have been trying out Every Body's Pilates and the classes they have to offer and have loved them all. The mat pilates relieved pain and relaxed my lower back. Loved the melt rollers! The zumba was so fun that I didn't realize an hour had flown by. My favorite class so far has been Alli's booty barre. It gave my body a really good work out. If you're looking for something that will give you more of a challenge, this class is the one I recommend. I'm so glad I found Every Body's Pilates! read more

This is such a cute little local studio. I took the Reformer class. It was a slow night as there were only one other person in class with me. Awesome for me, since I got a lot of attention from the instructor. I like how the studio offer a good range of classes from high energy to calm and peaceful. My husband has been taking classes at Every Body's Pilates following a serious injury that affects his balance. His instructor is Almaliis and she is amazing. The thing that stood out to us at first was her attention to how his body moves. Great studio! I've tried Barre, Zumba and mat Pilates. The instructors are super friendly and attentive. Classes are small, so they pay a lot of attention to your form. Work outs are customized to requests and modifications are made around injuries or abilities. Instructors modify the workouts to your ability, and give a lot of positive encouragement. The Zumba class with Allison is my favorite! The routines vary each week, keeping it fun and interesting, making me want to come back every week! It's not until you feel the sweat dripping down your face that you realize you are actually exercising...it's THAT fun! Allison makes sure she caters to your needs in each class, so that everyone works together to get the best experience possible each week. It also allows you to get to know the other people in the class! Even without any dance experience, Allison makes it easy to pick up the moves in each routine, while explaining how to get the maximum burn and cardio out of each move, amping up your workout! I adore "Everybody's Pilates". The studio is homey, lovely and intimate. All of the staff are super friendly and knowledgable and I always have wonderful classes. Jill is very welcoming, warm and friendly when we are all newbies and a bit nervous. Julie is top rate with Pilates. She takes the time to learn her students strengths and weaknesses and works with them accordingly. She varies up the workouts so that they never become routine or boring. Not sure why some folks have focused on what seems like a very isolated incident?? But as for me, I have always had nothing but great and welcoming experiences at EBPs. Perhaps if one goes into a place with a negative vibe that's what one will create. I have had friendly instructors, funny instructors, caring ones and so on. The place is clean, exercise studio is bright and beautiful and they are always trying to find new classes and ways to bring the types of workouts the clients want. I've taken classes by almost everyone there and I have no complaints. And as far as price - I have looked around and compared. This place is either comparable or much less than a lot of studios around...so not sure what the whining is about from some folks. I will continue coming here and I am sure as time goes on the classes offered and people that catch on to this great place will multiply. read more

I have been taking Pilates classes at Everybody's Pilates for several years. I have had a sore shoulder for several days. During yesterday's class Judy worked with me on several different exercises and my shoulder is feeling much better. I now have more range of motion in my arm and shoulder. I like this place a lot for reformer pilates.the teacher are all very nice! I always sweat and wish that I can do more classes a week. If you want smaller classes then this is the place. Because it feels like you get a one on one and get your money worth! I needed mental and physical relief from stress and found Iyengar method of yoga offered here. Steffie the instructor is very knowledgeable and specific in teaching safety in yoga. I have been amazed at my abilities in performing moves I thought were impossible for a fifty yr old. I have lost inches and regained strength and flexibility. Still going to this studio and loving it. As previously indicated, my physical therapist suggested Pilates, and I am very fortunate to have found this studio that is so close to my home. Brenda is my private Pilates trainer, She is absolutely amazing. She motivates me to do better each time. She is focused, highly competent, patient, has a great sense of humor, and makes Pilates a fun workout. After each session, I would feel really toned and accomplished. Pilates at this studio has changed my life. I am stronger, happier, and more productive at work. I have received lots of compliments from my colleagues, family and friends about the transformed, positive me. I can't imagine my life without Pilates and my Pilates life without Brenda. I have also worked with Julie who is another great instructor. She has always delivered for me. I would go to her class feeling really exhausted from work but would come out of it feeling brand new.
