Amanda and her crew at Beachonista created the most outstanding beach party I could have ever imagined! Everyone attending, even the beach locals, were blown away! She thought of everything for everyone's comfort and enjoyment. It was beautifully inviting and festive throughout our 4-hour party. Amanda recommended the perfect location, close to everything such as volleyball courts, parking and bathrooms, but far enough away to feel like we had our own beach! Amanda coordinated everything and was on site to receive my large food/catering delivery (Mickie's Deli) where she has a working relationship and could advise me how to proceed with my order. She allowed me to bring some special items to her prior to the party date so I didn't have to carry the heavy items myself. This way I could relax and enjoy the happy occasion. The Beachonista crew handled everything! They set up, left us to our party with contact info if I needed anything, and reappeared after the party to break it all down, clean up and haul the umbrellas, beach chairs, towels, toys, tables, speaker and coolers so I didn't have to. Amanda was exceptional at communication and equally as exceptional in her heart and soul. She was so easy and pleasant to work with. She wanted a perfect party as much as I did and it was achieved because of her! I never could have pulled off a party of this size, on the sand, with everyone having such a fun time without Beachonista. I can't wait for my next beach party with them! read more

10/10 would recommend this place for any of their rentals. Amanda, the owner, is literally one of the nicest people I've met in Hermosa. I went to a skate sesh that Amanda organized having no previous experience. She walked me through the techniques/steps to ride a longboard with a paddle. I felt comfortable riding along the strand within half an hour! I had no idea longboarding would be this much fun and will definitely be returning for more skate seshes. I had the most incredible time EVER! I ultimately chose The Beachonista vs other SUP places because of all the cool add-ons you can ad to your reservation (such as waterproof coolers, waterproof bag, Bluetooth speaker, waterproof case) and I did rent the waterproof pouch. Amanda was also incredibly nice and helpful when I spoke to her on the phone! She was helpful with tips and advice and made me feel really comfortable and welcome :) it was very windy out when I went, so for fear of getting stranded out in open water I only stayed inside the harbor. But I spent most of my time hanging by the sea lion barge and watching just observing the sea lions (at a safe distance of course). I really loved this experience and will definitely come back next time I'm in town again :) read more

This rental shop is awesome! Amanda, the owner, was really nice and helpful. Her shop is located right next to the beach and the boardwalk making it an extremely convenient place to rent from. The problem I have with most rentals are that they rent out beaten up skateboards and surfboards, but her gear seemed newer and worked really well! Would definitely recommend stopping by! read more

Never done this before but wow what an experience! Was so much fun, and what a great work out, Amanda has really opened my eyes to a whole new outlook on fitness and health. I never thought something so fun, could be such a great workout. Its kind of hard to get in the groove of standing up on a big surfboard then paddling with a paddle/oar and keeping you balance as you glide on the surface of the water. but once you get the hang of it and you can balance, you feel at peace with the water. Nothing else matters at that very moment. it's very freeing. After my lesson with Amanda I was hooked. I now own my very own paddle board and paddle out at least 3 times a week, Also I have lost 15lbs of body fat in the last 4 months and I owe it all to Amanda Koss. 11 out of 10 stars! read more

Amazing experience for a first timer like myself. Anything Paddle boarding, this is the place!

So glad my friend and I decided to be spontaneous and try paddle boarding! It was our first time and Amanda was so helpful and explained all the options. We ended getting a ride to take our boards to redondo beach harbor area. The water was calm and so glad we went there and not to Hermosa Beach because we would have probably been lost at sea (first time paddle boarders). Amanda was such a sweetheart and my friend and I want to thank you for setting us up and answering all our questions! The harbor was a cool little area and we saw other paddle boarders, kayakers, and small boats. We even paddled towards the sea lions to get a closer look, but beware.....they are stinkyyy! read more
