During month two, I discovered that my company is a Wellhub member and could get a much better deal(less than half) but it was only for the Redondo Beach location. I asked via text and in person if someone could look into it. They said there was nothing they could do for me but offer me 4 classes for less. I said no thank you because the other offer was for 10, I would like to finish the 90 days and be done. They said the understand. THIS IS IN WRITING!!!!! They have been trying to bill me ever since. Fortunately or unfortunately my bank accounts were hacked and closed so they now have been sending me delinquent notices and now inform me that I signed up for a three month term to go month to month after that. Found my new Pilates spot! I'm a longtime CP fan from other locations across SoCal and can thrilled with this newest opened studio. They're doing a soft opening this weekend with free half hour intro classes and special membership signup deals. If you've never been on a reformer it's a way to try it out with no commitment but frankly you'll probably fall in love with it and consider getting a monthly membership here. Pilates especially on a reformer is my fave exercise because it improves flexibility, strength, help prevent injuries...all in a highly targeted way that's very fun in a small class size setting. I never thought I would enjoy working out until I found club pilates in Torrance. I love how all ages and all sizes are welcomed. Parking is easy. I seem to get into the classes even when I'm on a waitlist. I only attend 1 x per week and I plan in advance. My favorite instructors are Alice and Alana. When it's a level 1 they treat it like a level 1 but with a challenge. I've seen so much improvement in my body shape and no more sciatic pain in my legs as well as my lower back pain. I had signed up for a 3 month, 2 times a week membership and was super excited to start this new journey since I've always wanted to take classes. The day of my first class I slipped down the stairs at home and broke my tailbone. I called to let them know and they still charged me a late fee since it was a few hours before my class. I let it slide because when I got better I wanted to take classes. When I tried to pause my membership they wouldn't let me. Mind you I couldn't lay on my back for months let alone exercise. So I had to keep paying for those first 3 months until I could cancel it. I ended up canceling in August (of last year) and come November I get a charge from good ol club Pilates. I was HEATED because they already squeezed me of almost $600 for a service I never got to use once, so I called and the manager had said she paused my account thinking I'd want to give it another try. I said when I went in I wanted to CANCEL it. They finally ended doing so and only refunded me for that month.. don't go here. The lack of compassion they have for their customers is beyond me. Go to a local non chain Pilates class, they'll treat you better. read more

Writing the review for someone else as she doesn't have Yelp. She was really excited about this new location as it is closer to us with easy parking. The issue is that it is almost impossible to sign-up for classes as there is no limit on how in-advance you can sign-up for the class. This makes it impossible for new members to sign up as everyone has already taken advantage of this system and signed up months in advance. No response on trying to fix the issue when it was raised. As a new member, spent ~$300/mo for unlimited classes and been able to go one time this month. Need to pay additional $100 to cancel. The math adds up to essentially paying for a single $400 class. They refuse to refund or cancel. Don't sign up for this location. It seems like a lot of new people are having the same issue as of recent. Most other pilates studios in the south bay are smart enough to limit enrollment to 2 weeks in-advance so new members have a change to sign up for classes. This is not one of those smarter studios. The point of pilates is to work out and escape from the stressors in your life, not add more. Wrote to the BBB as well. Be smart, remove stress in your life, save $400, find another studio. read more

The instructors are wonderful, but if you pay for the "unlimited membership" be aware that classes are very full with very long waitlist. For the months of January and February I was charged for my "unlimited membership" and was unable to attend any classes because of how overbooked they all were. The waitlist did not open up. Which is what their general manager kept telling me was a solution to my problem. So Club Pilates is very comfortable selling and charging people for "unlimited memberships" when in reality they can not accommodate the paying customers they already have. I have added pictures for reference. Before deciding to agree to this unlimited membership, I spoke with a team member and asked her if classes being overbooked was ever an issue. She reassured me that they are only consistently booked on the weekends. I was fine to make it to weekday classes. As you will see from these pictures, all classes were booked all the time in Jan and Feb. The fact that Club Pilates is comfortable charging people when they have NO CLASSES for them to attend in order to use their unlimited membership is not only fraud, but also it is false advertising. If you cancel a class day of they will charge you even though there are seven other people that can fill the class. One of the instructors, Petra, is rude asf, she literally pushed me out of the reformer for not having the box in the middle by a little bit. I have been to a few different pilates studios, and Club Pilates (Torrance location) has been my favorite! I've been coming here for about a month and I have really enjoyed all of the instructors I've had, with Donna being my favorite. Some studios I've been to can be intimidating and I haven't felt that way at all here. Everyone has been super nice, friendly and welcoming no matter what level you are! The General Manager, Alison, is fabulous! She helped me decide what kind of membership I wanted to purchase after the free 30 minute intro class! She took the time to explain all of the options and the different class types and levels. She walked through the app with me and helped get me going! It's a breeze to sign up for each class! I highly recommend this studio for all ages and levels of pilates! read more

I LOVE this place. The staff is so amazingly nice and welcoming every time you come in. They are very inclusive to all shapes, sizes, and skill levels. I haven't worked out habitually since high school. In 2020 my knee gave out and went into atrophy for 6 months. I had to relearn to walk. Needless to say I am not strong and haven't been since I was young. I was VERY intimidated to start this class. I took the intro class with Ellina and I cannot express my gratitude towards her enough! One month in and she's still my favorite instructor. She's incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and hands on. Making the workout GOOD every time you go in. My strength and muscles have improved and I can now bend in half while my knees are straight. This is such an amazing feeling and huge feat for me. I'm excited to see my growth as I keep going. If you've ever considered taking a class. Do it. Go for it! read more

This place runs a scam. When you sign up, management doesn't tell you it will be nearly impossible to get into all the classes you expect to take during a month. If you complain (after you enrolled & discovered the issue), management acts surprised, as if no one has ever had this problem at this club ... but pretty much everyone has this problem. The classes are fine if you can get into one, but you most likely will find yourself on a long, unhelpful waiting list. read more

Highly disappointing. A few months ago, I was contacted by a "Stephen" who claimed to be part of the gym and offered a grand-opening special. This sounded like a great opportunity. I jumped on it, however, explained very clearly that I wouldn't know if the gym would be a good fit until it was officially open as my schedule isn't very flexible and I am part of an intimate studio already. He said it would not be an issue and I'd be under no obligation to keep my membership if I chose to not move forward. I sent an email to staff a few weeks after opening to share my concerns that the gym would in fact, not be a good fit- which to no one responded to. I texted the same number I was originally contacted from. It was suggested I wait a bit to see if more classes opened. This was not the only issue. Aside from being lucky if you could register for one class a week- I didn't like the layout of the studio. I asked to cancel and was told I'd be charged a $100 early cancellation fee. Keep in mind I did not actually attend any classes and it took a few weeks to reach management. Upon speaking to management, who continued to try to convince me to stay a member, I was told that the person who signed me up was part of an onboarding team. GO FIGURE that what he said wouldn't line up with the actual gym's "rules." It's unfortunate that each gym is a franchise, thus no specific person you can reach besides the "manager," whom is "busy," all the time. My honest advice is to take into consideration the reviews of this gym before signing up. There's a reason the deal was too good to be true. Not to mention, you can't even speak with the person who signed you up. If you're looking for a far better gym in an intimate setting with great instructors AND you can actually book a class, I highly recommend Pilates Studio South which can be found on the fitDEGREE app and is located south end gym. It's private, the instructors are energetic, accommodating and there's no silly rules. You get what you pay for. read more

I can now see I am not the only person having trouble getting into classes. After only being able to successfully book ONE class during my last membership after I waitlisted for multiple classes. I reached out to cancel my membership, I was instructed to reach out via email, I did. Well guess who just got a renewal charge! $183 dollars to only be able to get into ONE class is wild. Went to this new location yesterday and had a class with Alice. I've been going to CP for a couple of months now and I always feel great after a session! Sometimes the classes get booked fast but I know there's always last minute cancels so you can always try to squeeze in if you're patient to wait and see in person! Every instructor has a different style with teaching and their own type of music to play! I'd definitely recommend trying! read more

I LOVE this place. The staff is so amazingly nice and welcoming every time you come in. All instructors are very knowledgeable and helps you with modifications. They come to you and correct you if your form are not right. Classes are all booked but I'm still able to get in after signing up on waitlist. So don't be discourage. So far during class sessions there's always someone at the front desk happily answering the phone. They do have nice retail products as well. Its a nice and clean place to practice pilates. With unlimited membership, I come at least 5x a week and it comes out about $10 a class...what a deal! read more

Even tho I have a favorite instructor I have been to classes with other instructors and they all seem to be amazing. All with different styles of Pilates so you get a great full body workout with each one. I was nervous about getting into classes because there are inly so many spots but I think in the 6 months I have been going I have only not gotten in to a desired class time like 1 time. I hold a CP Passport membership and have been going to various studios (PV, RB, MB) for almost a year now. The Torrance location is a fabulous addition to our community! I have found all of the instructors there to be professional and fun, and all share their love of pilates with their clients. Two of my personal faves are Petra and Ellina. Both of these instructors offer challenging 1.5 classes but are also very kind and understanding should you need to modify or dial it down a notch. As an educator, I appreciate the wide range of ability levels in each class and how the instructors cater to the varying needs of each student so they are able to find success. There are so many Pilates gyms in the south bay I highly recommend any other location. I've only been able to attend a handful of classes because all of the classes are booked weeks in advance. I tried cancelling my membership due to this reason. Prior to signing up, I was told that my membership would be risk-free and that I can cancel at any time if it's not a right fit. I was then told surprise you can't, there's a 3 month commitment we lied about and there's a $100 cancellation fee. Additionally, the one class I was able to attend was very very disappointing, not at all what a Pilates workout should be. Additionally, the manager of this studio, Alison, is extremely unprofessional. I have tried reaching out several times via email to get an update of the status of my account and have not heard back. I am new to Pilates so I signed up as a member before their official opening and have been with them for 3 months. They require you to commit for a minimum of 3 months and if you want to cancel your membership, a 30-day notice needs to be given. I signed-up as an unlimited member so my review may be different compared to a member that as the 8-classes a month membership. I feel a HUGE difference in my body since I started a few months ago. I primarily swim and have done many sports for exercise throughout my life (tennis, softball, water polo, soccer). However, I can truly say that this is the first time in my life that my body feels like I am getting a true whole-body workout that is balancing my body. I work as a bedside nurse and building strength (especially my core), stretching, and balancing my body is vital for career longevity (and my overall health). The instructors and employees here are very welcoming and I have enjoyed all the classes! There are currently 2 class levels (1 and 1.5) with 1 being more beginner and 1.5 being a little more challenging. Multiple class options are available and will vary on what type of workout you want. Class Options: -Reformer: you're primarily on the reformer machine for the class. -Center + Balance: more stretching/lengthening and working on balance. -Cardio Sculpt: a lot of exercise with the footboard on the base of the reformer...it's like you're jumping on a trampoline but it's a padded board so you get a great cardio workout -Suspend: TRX, Crossfit type of exercises...strength training is a good description! Reservations are required to take any of the classes through their app. The app is easy to navigate and you can see your upcoming classes and previous classes with the instructor. If you aren't able to book a class, you can join the waitlist. I have had about a 50/50 chance of getting into a class when joining the waitlist with better luck with weekday classes! If you get off the waitlist, you'll get a phone notification that "you're in" a specific class. Usually, you can get bumped off the waitlist within 2 hours of the actual class. In my experience, getting off the waitlist within those 2 hours leading up to a class I had to periodically check the app to see if I can now enroll. I didn't get a notification so just check leading up to the class. I hope that makes sense. If you're on a waitlist and you know you can't make it, just take yourself off. However, if you have booked a class and you need to cancel within 12 hours of the start of class, you will get charged a fee. Working as a nurse, I usually know my schedule a month-ish out so I book all of my classes ASAP and usually a month or more out. I can book/waitlist myself for up to 12 classes. I have heard it's very hard for the 8-classes-a-month member to sign up for classes since I *believe* the classes for the next month open on the 25th (Example: 6/25 opened up July classes for the 8-classes-a-month membership). I signed up for the unlimited classes and couldn't be happier. Yes at first the classes are booked up. But you are able to go to a class and get in after 5 mins , if a spot is open. I love that all the instructor's have their own style. No class ever feels repetitive. They really keep you motivated. They always ask if anyone's having issues or needs modifications. It's very clean. And the machines are wiped down after each use. A great addition is the filtered water station. They also have a nice variety of Pilates socks and gym clothes. I have been a member of Club Pilates Torrance for 3 months now. I absolutely love it and feel very comfortable here. Club Pilates offers a variety of classes such as Reformer Flow, Cardio Sculpt, TRX, Stretch, etc. The classes start from 6:00 AM and go all the way up until 7:30 PM. The best thing about Club Pilates are the instructors. The instructors are very caring and always make sure that my form is correct so that I can get the maximum benefit from the exercises. They definitely have taken an interest in getting to know me and help me. The instructors design the workouts so that it is challenging and so that you get stronger. I had joined Club Pilates to improve my posture by strengthening my core and upper back muscles. Club Pilates is definitely helping me achieve this goal. Plus my hips and lower back feel better and my triceps and biceps are getting toned and defined. You will really love this place. This studio is clean and inviting. The location is great with lots of parking, coffee, shopping, banking, a movie theater, hair salons, restaurants, etc in Rolling Hills Plaza. Come and try Club Pilates Torrance.
