Took my 6 year old Pomeranian, Teddy, to get groomed today. Teddy is a very feisty, spoiled, and loud Pomeranian that is hard to look after and groom. Before having found this place I've been to multiple different groomers in dallas who claimed that teddy "Wouldn't let them" cut his hair or give him a bath. Then I found Every Dog's Day and to my surprise I got to pick up Teddy with a fresh haircut. While dropping off Teddy I warned the person assisting me at the front desk, (who I believe is the owner), that Teddy was a bit feisty. He said that it was fine and took him and started talking to him as if Teddy was his own dog. This was my first time visiting this establishment. I was thoroughly disappointed. We requested grooming service during my pet's boarding. When I went to pick him up, he had not been groomed. This, in spite of me discussing the grooming with the owner prior to the stay, calling them during his stay, and sending a picture of how I wanted him cut. I arrived to pick the dog up and he had not been groomed. I did not even get a phone call to say they had issues and could not cut him. I am not positive this had anything to do with the stay, but my dog was throwing up the day after I picked him up. I contacted the owner about the grooming, and he told me to bring my dog in at 7 AM. He assured me that my dog would be the first one groomed. I dropped the dog at 7:00 AM. He was not ready until 5:00 PM. Some sort of mix up in communications. Lastly, the haircut we received was less than stellar. As a matter of fact, it was simply substandard. I am very frustrated with this company. They seem to lack professionalism, and they failed to communicate with me, the customer, and apparently amongst themselves. My family and I have been taking our dogs here for grooming for years and we have not had a problem until recently last week, on Feb. 11, when we went to go pick our 2 dogs: one had throw up all over his face and the other's right eye was swollen and bloodshot red. When asked about why he had throw up one of the workers replied, "Oh yeah we forgot to tell you he threw up, sorry." Shouldn't have that been a priority to let us know? And shouldn't have y'all at least cleaned him up?? In addition, they didn't even mention about my other dog's eye injury and it wasn't until we got home we noticed he wasn't acting himself and couldn't close his right eye. Since then, we have had to take both of them on numerous ER and medical visits. The one who threw up started to have diarrhea/blood in his stool from stress. The other with the eye injury now is possibly going to suffer from permanent nerve damage caused by trauma to his eye (which was caused by a cut cornea). Both dogs have never had a previous history with either serious health/eye issues and were perfectly healthy prior to their visit. We called the owner, on Feb 14, to ask about what happened that day and he replied with they would figure out but it's been days with no answers. At this point, we just don't want this to ever happen to any other owner and their pets. DO NOT LEAVE YOUR DOG HERE! We have done both daycare and boarding at this location. We have noticed every time my dog has a couple dried-up blood scratches on her face and legs! But ....I never said anything because I figured "They are dogs and playing a little rough!" However, this time it was quite a different case. When I picked her up Immediately, I noticed my dog had long scratches going down her back. Her face, eyes, and skin were extremely red. Furthermore, Roxy was panting as if they had not given her the proper amounts of water on this extremely hot day. Again, I left it alone because I knew it was hot and maybe she just finished playing with her friends. I am Continuously, giving them the benefit of the doubt!!!! I put her in the car and took her to a self-wash place not too far from this location because she smelled like urine!!!!!! As I was washing her, I noticed LARGE, raised contusions inside of her thighs. These contusions on her legs, which appeared not to be a scratch from a dog but from an object or leash burn!!!!! She also had dried blood scratches again at the top of her head. I immediately called to make them aware of the situation. (this was on Saturday). Unfortunately, they had already closed so I left them a very upsetting voice mail explaining my concerns. On Sunday, the facility closed so I wrote them two emails hoping they would get back to me on Monday. Monday morning came and no word from them so, I ended up calling Every dogs days canine resort & spa to confirm my voicemail and emails we received. The receptionist confirmed they did, however she told me the owner had an emergency and would get back to me tomorrow. Here we are one week later and still no word from them. To our understanding we thought dogs are screened for aggression and compatibility as they did with our puppy. Why isn't your staff watching what's going on when clearly there are cameras everywhere!!!! And do not come at me telling me just like you have done in all your other bad reviews because your facility is poorly run.The least you could do is call your customers or email to apologize, so that you can avoid reviews like these. Had I known before from someone else's reviews, that their dog died while under your care due to another customer's dog, I would have never given you, my business! Written by my wife: We brought our goldendoodle Maggie to Every Dog's Day yesterday for grooming. Pros: The front desk assistant, Alicia, was very nice and professional, she was also wearing a mask. Cons: I left very specific photographic and written instructions for the grooming; it could not have been more detailed. The groomer and I went over the instructions and she told me that Maggie's hair was a little softer/not as coarse as the example dog and therefore would have a slightly different outcome. I told her I was fine with that as long as the cut was the same as the photo/instructions. Please see the photos I have provided. You can judge for yourself whether the instructions were followed, as well as the quality of the cut. Maggie also has razor burn on her paw pads and additional razor burn mark showed up between her eyes the day after the shave. Much more important/significant than my dog's haircut is the fact that when we went to pick her up there were five employees at the front desk with NO MASKS AT ALL. NONE. I simply can't fathom an establishment that doesn't require employees to wear masks when customers are present. read more

Unfortunately, there is a lack of professionalism at this business. I completely understand that there is a pandemic going on and I commend them for doing curbside pickup of our dogs especially when pet haircuts are not really considered that essential to begin with. But, other than that, I'm disappointed in how we emailed them about a concern over a week ago and they have not gotten back to us. To start, we have been coming to this place for years, in fact... One of our older dogs has been there for 5+ years easily. But in the last year or so, the quality and understanding has gone down significantly. I do want to say that I would not be writing this review if they had just gotten back to us and took accountability for what happened next. We have 3 dogs, two which have under coats and are extremely fluffy dogs. If you know about these breeds you know that you shouldn't shave their undercoat. Well... When we dropped the dogs off, both I and my brother in law were very detailed on what we wanted for each dog. We made sure to let them know not to shave our fluff balls but to trim. The only time I personally suggested a shave was around the belly area and I even pointed exactly where I wanted it and it wasn't much at all. So, we proceeded to give instructional notes of each dog to the two who picked them up from us in our car. We literally wrote out what we just said. Anyway, 4 hours pass and my brother in law receives a phone call (which he was anticipating much earlier in the day), and the groomer reached out to him about his fluffy dog's cut. He explained to them the double coat for both dogs and let the person know not to shave, and what style he wanted (Even tho he had already explained twice before). About 3 or so more hours pass and I'm wondering why it's taking them this long when they usually are done by 1p. Mind you, we took them to this business before 8a, and we have never had to wait til almost 4. But again, it's probably because of this pandemic. So, I call to pick up my dog who's atleast ready and when he was brought out... I had a lose of words. The man who brought him to me immediately left back inside before I could process that my dog was completely shaved despite my instructions. I couldn't believe my eyes, honestly. I was furious! But, I understood that these are trying times... So I called the front desk and let them know that they cut him too short and that they should let the groomer know that it wasn't okay. After further inspection, I realized they pretty much butchered him. He has parts that were not cut properly so hair is sticking out at random places. It's quite frustrating having to go back myself to trim the uneven sides... Well, I left with that taste in my mouth. When my brother in law picked up the other two, he also was at a loss for words. He had asked for a specific cut around the face for the long haired dog and they did not do that right whatsoever. And for his double coated dog... They shaved her down way too much as well but what really set him off is how they literally chopped her tail off. She's got a long, fluffy tail that if it's cut it needs to be shaped... Well no, they literally took a scissor straight across her tail and didn't even shave or shape the rest of it and it looks HORRENDOUS. If anything upset me the most... It was seeing that dog come out worse than mine. Needless to say, he also gave the daycare a call but nothing came out of it. I'm not sure the employees are well equipped in a scenario of this sort. Please understand that this could of all been resolved by a simple phone call or email back by the owners. Showing a little care towards longtime customers goes a long way. With all of that being said, we will be going to a new groomer who will understand the importantance of customer service and how certain breeds have certain haircut standards. Sorry for having to make this review but I hope this helps shed some light on the situation at hand. Edit: To answer the owner's comment below, the man was smiling at me as I received my dog and I had no chance to speak with him during our extremely brief exchange. Immediately, I noticed his coat shaved down and when I got in my car I called the front desk. I made sure to let the groomer know it was way too short. And my brother-in-law DID NOT SAY to go shorter on my Pomeranian whatsoever! He even made sure to let your staff know that those coats should not be shaved. What baffles me is how we are being accused. We still stand with what was said above from 100% honesty. Unfortunately, we will not be coming back. We dropped off our labradoodle for a 3 might stay over Memorial Day weekend and asked my brother and sister-in-law to pick him for us as we would be getting home late. Upon picking him they noticed he was covered in feces, not just his butt but his belly and on the sides. It is as if he was never taken out and his kennel wasn't cleaned, even though they have "someone on site 24/7 to tend to the dogs". They asked for wipes to clean him with before loading him in the car and the staff's response was "we don't have any wipes". Last I saw online they also claimed to have grooming on site, I guess dog wipes aren't including under grooming. After a few moments they were given a wet towel that was already dirty to wipe him down with, that was left at the door as it was completely useless. It surprises me that they didn't even bother to wipe him when they saw that he was in that condition, let alone let him to get that condition in the first place. We called and spoke to the manager, and he defended his staff saying that my brother and sister-in-law were being rude and standoffish to them, and that they offered to clean him, but they refused, and that him being clean was an inconvenience. The manager is lying to cover his image by making it seem as though his staff was in the right when they didn't even try to clean him down before giving him over. I mean when you can see a dog covered in feces it is hard to miss or not smell it. They also claim to have access to camera where we can watch the dogs play during the day and every time I would log in and try to view them there was never a dog or person in frame, mind you I was logging in about every 30 minutes just to see our dog. It was as though he was put in that kennel and left there until he was picked up. Simple hygiene is a standard when it comes to pet care and this facility does not care for them like they should. This is utterly disrespectful to us as dog parents/owners but even more so to the dog that we trusted them with. I highly urge people to stop going here as they are not taking care of your pets and when confronted they lie through their teeth to save their business. I'd leave zero stars if that was an option. We brought our dogs in for a bath & nail trim for the first time since new management took over. The guy I spoke with over the phone was helpful and check-in was easy. Unfortunately, both of our dogs are rescues and have grooming-anxiety so it's difficult to find a groomer who can handle them safely & they're comfortable with. Our first experience here was amazing; our husky loved the last groomer she had and we were excited to return but our experience this time was not as stellar. Upon pickup, the dogs hardly looked groomed, the husky was not deshedded and she was covered in bald spots. The groomer who brought them to the front desk was rude handing them off and when I asked how they were she only gave me an "I don't know". I brushed it off as a long day but upon closer examination we realized both dogs had their nails trimmed so short almost all their nails had the quicks exposed and they looked very painful. Our husky is missing patches of fur, which is normal for the breed around this time of year but she did not smell or look bathed at all. Our smaller dog is a very sweet boy and easy to handle but has separation anxiety which shouldn't be an issue if they're being groomed together as we were told would happen. His feet are worse than the huskies and now have a green tint, which we're worried is a fungus or something. We've tried wiping it off thinking it could be a grass stain but it won't come out. I boarded my dogs Memorial Day weekend. I made a reservation 3 weeks prior and was told my cost would be $136. When I dropped my dogs off, I was told a different amount because they were charging a $5 surcharge per dog per day for the holiday wknd. I made my reservation with the owner Scott, if this was a policy, you would think Scott would be well aware and advise the customer up front. Bottom line was the price was changed last minute without notice, there is no mention of a holiday surcharge on their website and I was not advised of the charge before Drop off. This is shady and bad business practices, and I will not board my dogs there again. read more

I IMMEDIATELY called about my puppy's leg hanging limply after your office person described it as a "little limp" You looked at the footage and claimed it was there when he was dropped off. That is when my vet, who did not want to get involved, did get involved and termed it a "catastrophic" injury. Doc had surgery the very next day, again three pins to reattach his leg! The reason we came back is that you called me every 2-3 days to check on him. Remember this: your dog broke his leg and you knew how hard it was. You were not informed of the injury for a week?! That is just a lie. When told first about the report of the ex-employee saying Doc was growling and stayed in a cage most of the day, you first tried to throw her under the bus. Remember your story about the old boxer she wanted to red tag? Your next story was that there is no such thing as "red-tagging" as any dog that is red-tagged is immediately removed from the facility. Then your new office manager said she there was red tagging but had no history or information and had heard no reports about Doc being aggressive at all. Yes, he did growl ONE TIME and I immediately called our vet. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT FOR ANYONE READING THIS REPLY: Doc has now been through three different evaluations at three different facilities and through one experienced dog trainer. Absolutely no aggression at all and the trainer flat out said it could be previous treatment. At his current day care he is a favorite and all over their web site. At his boarding, they said that they love how cuddly and loving he is. Reply however you want. I had seriously spoken how much we missed EDD (the old EDD) but your "reply" and I am putting it nicely, not only confirms my final decision but makes it clear that your facility is not only not the right fit but would be dangerous at least for my dogs as you are not honest in your reply. We have used Every Dog's Day for doggie daycare, boarding, and grooming several times and have been extremely pleased with all 3 services. The staff there is very friendly and attentive. We enjoy watching our 2 Corgis on the webcam while in play and boarding so it helps us know they are having fun and well-taken care of while we are away. They are one of the few boarders that have staff on duty 24/7 and that gives us piece of mind. When our boys have an accident in their room, it's promptly cleaned up. Boarding here is a great value because the rate includes a half day of PlayCare, which we would have to pay extra for at other boarding places. They also take the dogs out 6 TIMES to go potty, more than any other boarding places we researched. The staff also makes a little scrapbook page for the dogs when they stay a certain number of nights! It's absolutely adorable. For PlayCare, a staff member plays WITH the dogs at all times. We took our dog to another place once and he just laid there all day because there were no people to interact with him. At EDD, we see both our dogs running around and playing with the staff member and dogs the entire time. I also like that the main play area is indoors so the bad weather will not hamper the dogs' fun and they never come home wet and muddy. We generally have the dogs groomed after being boarded or if they've been in PlayCare for more than a few days. They always come home fresh, clean, and looking dapper! I highly recommend EDD. My babies and I love this place!! The staff is beyond friendly and helpful. They greet my dogs by name even though they don't come often because I live fairly far. I was extremely worried the first time I boarded them but immediately felt less anxious because of the cameras and updates when I called to check on my dogs. Their website is completely false and their "suites" on their Instagram page do not match what so ever. I would compare this place to a jail cell. As you enter the facility there is a room with a full size bed and I saw poop all over the floor and the dog just laying there. Do not take into consideration the reviews older than 6 months, BEWARE!!!! Maybe think about changing your website to accurately reflect your business. Thank Goodness there were cameras so I could see my dog because it did not look anything like what their photos showed. It would have been $79 a night for my dog to sit in a room with a cot and water bowl (i immediately picked him up) They advertise tv's and that is also false. Their "play" area is an enclosed dark space where you can watch the workers just sitting there hardly interacting or doing anything. Oh not to mention the unfriendly staff who do not even seem to care about animals. This business needs to be shut down for the good of the community. Picked up our French Bulldog Zoe yesterday after her first stay with Every Dog's Day. She was there for four days and ended the visit with a trip to the spa for a grooming session. She was super happy and shiny as a new penny. At other boarding facilities she you could tell she was traumatized by the experience. Not the case this time. Prepaid for services for 2 dogs. We were overcharged just over $400. We called the next day to have the overcharge refunded. It took 5 weeks to get the refund. 5 weeks. My wife and I called weekly to have the extra $400+ dollars refunded, and each time we were promised a call back from the owner and a refund. Then nothing would happen. Pay attention to your credit card statement when using this company and worse, when they do overcharge you it takes weeks and weeks before they will refund your money. Very disappointing. read more

If I could leave no stars I would. My husband picked up our Frenchie today after 5 days boarding. He had three puncture/bite wounds on his face, one on his butt and one in his groin that was covered in dried blood. I spoke with an employee who said they never saw the blood and that dogs like to rough house. That's it. Not noticing that amount of blood is neglect plain and simple. I get dogs rough house sometimes but they are supposed to be supervised and removed if they are getting injured, which my dog clearly was. Also we had to discover the blood and injuries on our own. No one told us at pick up that our pup was hurt. The employee never once apologized or showed concern for the care our dog was given at all. In fact he was a complete jerk and just kept repeating the same sentence over and over again. "Didn't notice blood, dogs rough house." After 10 years of taking our dogs to Every Dog's Day for grooming and boarding, and always having amazing experiences it's clear that lately the owner and workers aren't providing the same quality of service they have been previously. The last time our 2 dogs were there for grooming both of their haircuts looked like hack jobs. I should've known better when their regular groomer was no longer there after being a long-time employee and the staff at the front desk seemed more concerned with talking to each other than asking me about how my dogs should be taken care of. The staff wasn't even wearing masks when masks were still required. I'm sorry to say we'll no longer be using or recommending Every Dog's Day. Clearly there's a reason why the staff is leaving and now customers are following. read more

Every Dogs Day is horrible. They used to be my go-to place to board my dogs but the place has really gone downhill. All my dogs items were marked in a bag. They lost two items. When I asked about them the guy said, "Call me." I was shocked. I felt, YOU lost the items, and need to call ME when you find them. They never did. There are electrical cords and pipes hanging from the ceiling for "remodeling". I was specific with my puppys food intake which is directed by my vet. EDD went through 2.5 gallons of food in 10 days. They said, "He ate alot." Someone, fed their dog with my pets food. I was specific about paper training the puppy. They ignored this. I have an English Bulldog. When they poo, you need to check their back side and wipe any poo stuck. The breed isn't like other dogs where the poo snaps off. This is a very well known issue with English Bulldogs. My puppy had feces smeared all over his back side.When I asked for a bath and they said the groomer wasn't going to be in for a few days. I could book then. When I was home with my puppy I burned myself in the kitchen and yelped. My dog ran and hid under the coffee table. He has NEVER done that. What did they do to him? Did they yell at him? EVERYTHING is a'la cart. They will not pet your dog without you paying them $40-$45 which is an affection fee. You're charged this fee on a daily basis. They will not play with your dog unless you pay them an additional $40-$45 playtime. This is charged on a daily basis as well.The manager, who I spoke with, was, condesending and arrogant. Do not, board your dog here. They steal items and food and mistreat your pets. read more

WOW what a disappointment! I normally board my two dogs at our vet and have had great success. Unfortunately, they were booked full so I picked Every Dog's Day partially based on Yelp reviews. Everything seemed great at first...they couldn't have been nicer at check in and check out and I enjoyed sporadically checking in on them via the play room cam. I paid $300 for 5 nights which is a lot of money but that's about the going rate around here. As soon as I got them home I noticed that both of them were COUGHING! Additionally, my male dog had green puss oozing from his penis (sorry, there just isn't a nice way to say that). I took them to the vet the next day and my KENNEL COUGH fear was confirmed. They couldn't diagnose exactly what the puss was from but this dog has never been sick so it's hard not to think it was a coincidence. The trip to the vet cost me $200 so I'm now in for $500 on this deal. The good news is that both dogs have stopped coughing and everything else is back to normal. I understand that kennel cough is not 100% preventable and that it's a risk you run boarding your dogs anywhere. At my vet's encouragement, I called them to let them know what had happened. I politely asked for a manager and I was met with defensiveness and a history lesson on kennel cough. I really don't know what they could have said to make me feel better but I do know that I hung up the phone much more angry than I had been when I first called. This place is fabulous! I had boarded my chi chi's only once before at another location and felt that it wasn't very clean. However, when I walked into this massive (very clean) establishment, I was blown away at how friendly and knowledgeable the staff is. The owner lives on the premises which means these pets have supervision at night (which most places dont do)... The rooms are very very clean. My girls were totally happy when I picked them up. They even took pictures of my girls and presented me with a little scrapbook...!! yes... My second trip was exactly the same... more pictures and happy girls. So far I am SUPER pleased w/ Every Dog's Day! I dropped in yesterday for a tour, and absolutely love their safe setup for dogs. The owner, Lori, showed me the whole place, and answered all of my overly-concerned-dog-mom questions. Lori, along w/ the rest of the staff were extremely friendly and knowledgeable. I never felt rushed, and got a great vibe from all of the staff members. I went back last night so I could show my husband and we got another tour spur of the moment! {No lie, he is a total cheapskate and even HE was impressed and thought the price was spot on considering all the perks!} Today I took my dogs (2 large breeds, a weimaraner + vizsla) in for the required 2.5 hour (FREE) evaluation and I loved that the staff sent them home w/ a little report card!! I'm taking my dogs in this weekend to stay for 3 days/2 nights and will review again when I get back! So far, these are the pros/cons I've observed: Pros: Everything above, they will feed your dog(s) at whatever time you want, they have WEBCAMS so you can watch your pups when they're in play or in their room. Staff is super friendly and thorough; you'll never feel like your asking a "dumb" question. Evaluations to weed out aggressive dogs is very comforting! Location is great for us, and easily accessible. Cute themed rooms of all sizes with REAL mattresses! Great set up! Cons: A little more expensive then the last place we used, but I'll gladly pay more for the beefed-up supervision of my dogs along w/ the webcams. My dogs won't be getting quite as many hours of play time as they got at our last boarding kennel, but again, here I know they are supervised 100% of the time while in play. Plus, the room we chose isn't some teeny-tiny room; there's PLENTY of space for them to play together inside there. If you love your doggies and want to board them somewhere that you can ENJOY your time away w/o worrying about their safety and well-being, try this place out!! read more

Strange that 5 months after I left my original review the business decided to respond. To be clear, they never told us our dog wasn't allowed to come back. We made that decision on our own, given that the owner wasn't communicative and never got back with us as I requested. I feel it's important to be transparent regarding my experience which is why I posted this follow up review. Again, this is my experience, and it was far less than ideal. I cannot and will not speak to anyone else's experience. I simply didn't feel like this business ended up being a good fit for our dog given the issues we encountered. read more

This review is just for the grooming. I thought they did a decent job on my shih-tzu mix, but it was just a mediocre cut-- for $56 dollars plus tip (!), I was expecting more. He is bathed on a weekly basis and brushed regularly with no mats, and he's very laid back- even they said so. I guess here you are paying more for the decor and the "spa" image. That's ok, it's part of their thing, but I won't be back here for grooming again. The people are nice and all, but it's really just so-so groomers charging super premium prices. I'll stick with my veterinarian's groomer-- she's just a nice and gives him a cuter cut for $16 less. read more
