    Some food options on 8/3/22

I've driven by the new Every Table location a few times and finally had a chance to stop in. They have a nice variety of grab-and-go items and you can even heat them up and eat there if you would like. I picked up a Chicken Pesto Wrap, Cauliflower Mac & Cheese, and Teriyaki Green Beans...all for under $17! I love that they have main entree items as well as sides. They also carry breakfast food options. So far I have eaten the Chicken Pesto Wrap and it was very delicious! It filled me up and I think it was only $7! Dorcia (I hope I am spelling that right) who runs the store is an absolute GEM! She answered all of my questions about Every Table and I saw her be attentive and personable to every guest that came in the door. The guests knew Dorcia and Dorcia knew the guests. It's a very inviting atmosphere! I will definitely go but to grab some good eats and chat it up with her. :) There is a private parking lot for the businesses, plus they have indoor and outdoor dining available for guests. They also have a rewards program so don't forget to sign up! :) I'm so excited this spot opened in the neighborhood so I can have some quality meals and a reasonable price more regularly.

Came…read morehere with one of my dearest friend who came down from NorCal to visit during one of the most challenging times of my life. The combination of friendship and delicious dishes delivered by Almost famous was soul-warming. Metered street parking only unfortunately, but service at the restaurant was excellent. Staff were friendly, courteous, patient, and were happy to go through the menu and make recommendations. You can tell they take pride in their dishes offered. They will check-in enough to ensure everything with the dining experience is going well, but not too frequently to impede on privacy. They have a breakfast/lunch (brunch) menu that they serve from 8am up until 2pm and a dinner menu that is available from 11am to 2pm & 5pm to 9:30pm. 1. Ginger & Cardamom Chai Latte (5/5) House-made chai with ginger and cardamom. If you like herbal spices, this drink was comforting and warming. It's not sweet, which I like and it paired well with the food dishes. 2. Crab Bhuna (4.75/5) Crab meat simmered in fragrant spices then topped with ginger, fennel seed, and curry leaves. It is served with soft, subtly sweet banana buns The crab meat was fresh and honestly, you couldn't even tell it's crab. It's seasoned perfectly with the aromatic Indian spices. The banana buns were interesting ... it was a bit on the dry side, but if you stuffed the airy pockets of the bun with the crab meat, it's not too bad. The banana bun had an interesting flavor profile; a mix of sweet-bitterness to it. 3. Sweet Potato Chaat (5/5) One of my favorite dishes here. It is sweet potato chunks mixed with a sauce blend of sweet corn, yogurt, tamarind, mint chutney and pomegranate. The sauce was light, refreshing, and tangy, balancing the natural sweetness of the sweet potato perfectly. 4. Brunch Dosa Rice & Lentil Crepe (4.75/5) Basically think of a crepe, but a super large size one. I just love their crepe - it was crispy yet doughy with a cheesy flavor. The crepe was stuffed with turmeric mashed potatoes. I typically do not like mash potatoes, but when it's served this way, I approve. The dish comes with a side of 3 sauces - sambar (lentil-based vegetable curry that's often seasoned with coriander seeds, cumin, fenugreek, dry red chilies), curry, coconut and tomato chutney. A perfect dish for sharing and for trying out the various flavors of Indian cuisine. 5. Wagyu Beef Keema Kulcha (4.5/5) Minced Wagyu beef that's seasoned well with aromatic spices and onion inside an Indian leavened flat bread. Highly recommend and will be back to try out other dishes!

We went there on a sunday, which was fortunate for us and easy day to find free parking on the street. The interior is beautifully designed, sleek and cozy We ordered one of the popular spinach and mozzarella flatbreads, there are popular paneer and we shared the special dosa platter. Everything was beautifully plated and very generous portions We want to go back for dinner try more of their savory dishes and definitely come back for brunch because they do have both American and Indian options to choose from.. and the French toast looked amazing! At Almost Famous to your foodie must try list!

The place itself is very modern and nice. Overall the vibe it basically a Houston's-type place. And service was good. All of the food overall was very good. Nothing really too crazy. To me, the menu is a little... boring. But, I will say everything was tasty. We got the Cajun shrimp salad (which was simple and clean but tasty), a cheese pizza for the kids (which was good!), a brisket French dip (very tasty and a horseradish sauce with a LOT of bite), a vodka pasta (was good but it actually is TOO big a portion to eat by one's self), the Ahi Tuna frites (the tuna was good and served with a nice green sauce), and the grilled cabbage side (with brown butter and some pomegranate molasses--it was actually my favorite thing!). The key distinctive thing about Laurel Grill seems to be that a lot of things get cooked by that fire which really adds a nice smoky touch (like the shrimp and the ahi tuna and the cabbage). My only major complaint would be the fries were just okay. After a minute or two they weren't crispy anymore. As good as everything else was, I thought they would step things up with the fries but they were just average. Anyways, while I overall am not that excited by the menu, it definitely is a great place to go where everybody will be able to find something tasty to eat. And overall, the portions were pretty fair.

DUCK SHOYU RAMEN Slight smoky flavor of the duck, tender, juicy and moist. No weird gamey flavor. So beautifully cooked, I'm still dreaming of it while I write this! Ramen had a wonderful bouncy chew. The broth was satisfyingly rich, very clean in flavor. There was an oil from the chicken broth, yet it was not a slick oil that leaves an oily mouthfeel. But it was a very comforting broth. Loved this ramen experience! Recommend for anyone who wants to try something different and move away from the typical tonkatsu broth ramen. HIBACHI GRILLED CHICKEN DON Got this as a combo meal with the ramen. This was not good. The chicken had char grill marks, which appeared promising, but the char taste overpowered the flavor of the chicken. The rice had a spicy furikake on top, which had spicy flavors, which I did not like. The rice was slightly dry too. They added salmon roe, which was the only highlight of the dish. Did not finish it and I do not recommend this dish. CUSTOMER SERVICE It was okay. Only one server working. She was straight to the point. But was not rude. YOU CAN ORDER VIA QR CODE There's a QR code that can be scanned from your table. You can order and pay from that QR code as well. Haven't tried it, but it seems very convenient. It's a good option if the restaurant is busy and you want to hurry and place your order. INDOOR + OUTDOOR SEATS AVAILABLE Indoor and outdoor seats available. Bar seats, table for 4, smaller tables for 2. Outdoor tables might be able to accommodate larger groups. There was a group of 8 people (coming in and out of the group table) to my left and seated indoors. They looked uncomfortable and crammed together. Best to come in smaller groups or split tables.
