Doesn't look anything like the photos they show or advertise. Super dark.

Not sure it looks like the other photos. Mine was very dark inside. Other photos show a much lighter inside cake. My cake taste fine but just not sure why its looks so different. Completely different banana bread pudding "

I usually order from the Donut King on sepulveda but decided to check this one out! I wish I stayed with my favorite! I ordered a bacon, sausage and EGG croissant! NO EGGS! Then they charged me $2.00 extra with no explanation! The bacon was fried to death and tasted old! Extremely disappointing and will avoid this location in the future!

It was around 8pm when I went in to check out the selection and they still had a good amount of sweet treats to chose from. I picked out the maple bar and they threw in a donut hole for free. I didn't eat the donut until morning and it was still good and fresh despite the sweet maple sticking mostly to the paper bag it came in.

The case of the Monday blues quickly faded away when I walked into the kitchen at work and saw a box of donuts. I was even happier that one of my favorites was available - a chocolate buttermilk bar. I took a bite and relished the taste. It was fresh, with a crispy exterior and a soft, fluffy interior. The chocolate glaze added the perfect amount of sweetness. My co-worker also enjoyed her selection. If I happen to be in the area I would stop by this shop and try out some of their other tasty delights.

Chocolate buttermilk donut - got a little squished but soo good.

NOT LIKE THE REST! Stopped at this quaint little shop this morning after craving a croissant and saw they had more than just your plain croissant and ham + cheese croissant as options. I don't eat ham so this shop was the perfect choice. They have such a good variety of SAVORY croissants; turkey & cheese, cheese, potato & chicken (Halal), spinach & cheese, ham & cheese, & a few more. I picked up a cheese croissant, a potato & chicken croissant, & chocolate buttermilk donut. EVERYTHING IS DELISH! The buttermilk donut was perfect, not too dense. It had a crispy outside that gave way to a nice fluffy inside. And the chocolate glaze, yum. The croissants were perfect. The cheese is filled with the same cheese they would use in a ham & cheese croissant. You could even pair the potato chicken with a salad and it would be a yummy meal.

Inside the breakfast croissant sandwich - egg, bacon, cheese. I love this sandwich it's so good! $5.99 as of Nov 2023

This place is so tasty!!! We came to fill up some jugs of water and found GOLD! $0.30 per gallon of purified water But the real treasures are the baked goods (WOW) Classic donuts, croissants, puff pastries! You name it, they are all so good! Texture, sweet level, each bite is perfect! Customer service is quick! Lots of seating and open all day from the early morning time till night. Lots of love goes into this place so definitely stop in and get a few boxes for yourself, friends and family

We were scared that the pastries might be too sweet for us. 2 out of 3 that we got were good. The coconut was a bit too sweet for us. The flavor was great tho. We got 2 free slices. I of course, got the princess cake. The other one was the raspberry. I didn't know the other one that they offered was hazelnut. I would have chose the hazelnut over the raspberry hehhe Both were delicious. Really enjoyed the princess cake. The top green part was pretty sweet if eating it by itself. Best to eat it with the cake. Would return when in the area. Thank you for the free cake slices.

The mango had the perfect balance of tart and creamy. It wasn't too heavy, and it's easy to finish one by yourself. I also tried the pistachio, and it was really good too! It's nutty with a strong pistachio flavor, and again, not overly sweet. It even has little chunks of pistachio throughout, which adds a nice texture. She took me here. The place was very clean and tidy with a lot of different types of sweet treats. I was there for one thing only. I did ask the gal working if they were made that day and she said yes. We ordered a raspberry, an orange, a coffee bean and the popular mango. This was my 2nd time trying these and our hopes were high BUT the raspberry was just awful the filling was strange and it had just raspberry jam inside,I dint eat it. The mango was okay so we shared that. The coffee bean was just awful as well so we didn't finish that either. The orange was the best of the group but overall just a disappointing experience once again because these are not cheap. I'm starting to think I might just have to give up my journey to find these although there are some places in Vegas that look promising. I don't think Reno has any bakeries that make these. They look so beautiful but the taste is a let down.

Chef Yang Soon began developing the reimagined classic Helms Bakery twelve years ago but could not have anticipated the huge changes that were to hit the dining landscape with the Covid pandemic. The decline of going out / dining out, changes in spending habits and the rise of delivery services made this Art Deco styled concept bakery financially unsustainable. Helms has a fascinating history. In 1932 their bread, Olympic Bread, was declared the official bread of the Olympic Games. This led to worldwide recognition. Delivery wagons, or coaches, brought bread, doughnuts and other baked goods to Angelenos' homes with their slogan, "Daily at Your Door." Helms was the bread that astronauts in Apollo 11 took to the moon. World Famous. I've sampled many items in my several visits (driving all the way to Culver City from the SF Valley.) *Breakfast burrito, $14 *Prosciutto/Persimmon sandwich, $17 *Coffee Cake, $5 *Cherry Pie slice, $12 *Nutella-stuffed cookie, $7 *Oat & Medjool Date cookie, $4.50 *Corn & Caramel cookie, $5 *Pistachio & chocolate cookie, $7 *Pecan Molasses, $5 On previous visits: *Olive Oil Cake *Corn Cake All of the above were made with high-quality ingredients, and thus sold at a high price point. All well-crafted and extremely delicious in my opinion. I will miss this place tremendously. I sincerely hope that Chef makes good on opening a Helms bakery in another location in the near future. Sinners & Saints Desserts offers a splurge for a luscious dessert, yet scrumptious for those that need gluten-free treats. Be mindful that their kitchen is not a dedicated gluten-free one, but precautions are taken to minimize cross contamination. I used to work in the area & came across this bakery, but never got around to trying them out. Since my daughter's birthday was coming up, I thought about trying them out since their desserts were beautifully displayed... they should taste good, right? I ordered the current favorite flavor: red velvet, & asked if they could decorate it with pink flowers & birthday message in red. The cake looks plain with just 3 pink roses, but the birthday cursive was pretty good; however, for the price, it wasn't worth eating a super dry cake. Our family of 4 barely ate 1/3, & tried giving it away to our neighbors, who were also unimpressed. The Smack Pie was supposedly a decadent chocolate lover's sinful treat. It was meh... the ganache wasn't silky-smooth but did taste fudgy, the caramel was hard, & the peanuts were stale. We did enjoy the Banana Cream & Lemon Blueberry Tarts to offset the very dry birthday cake. Luckily, I bought these to compensate for the cake so the birthday girl was happy in the end. Sinners & Saints Desserts sounds like a deliciously tempting bakery but some of their goods miss the mark. I don't think I'll be purposely sinning here much.
