It use to be a decent gym with lots of weights and equipment. But they turned it into another Planet Fitness... rubber weights, no steel plates,no standing calf machine, no leg curl and the worst leg extension machine I ever used which completely destroys your knees and tendons and works NONE of your muscle! Seriously, what's the point of such crappy equipment? And they have so few plates (all rubber) you have to wait until others are done with nearby equipment so you can use the weights. It's unfortunate because they use to have a lot of steel plates... all gone! No wonder they are losing so many long time members. They use to be the only gym in the area that catered to more serious lifters as well as everybody else. Now it's just for Planet Fitness types. Take note: This gym is not for those serious about training... it's another cookie cutter Planet Fitness type of gym. You know the type when memberships skyrocket every January and February and 80% are gone by Spring If that's your kind of gym then go to Planet Fitness and save money. It's cheaper. I quit 3 weeks ago and never looked back. read more

Love this club. I live in Alaska where we have really great fitness classes. I come back east during the summers to visit my mom and have been going to this club for over 7 years now. They have great Les Mills classes that are really tough, and challenging, and always have consistently great instructors. Body pump is a choreographed weight lifting class, and their body combat and body attack classes rock. I work out a lot but alway feel like I get a whole new type of workout when I come to this club during the summer. The rest of the gym is great too. It's an older club and not all the equipment is brand new, but it's all in good shape and they have a big variety of machines, and weights to utilize. Everyone is really helpful and friendly here and the energy in the classes is always very motivating. About the only complaint I have is that the workout room gets really hot during classes! It was about 90 degrees inside the room other day. Not sure about AC, all I saw were a few fans which didn't help much. But other then that I really like this club and feel they offer a lot of very current and competitive type classes as compared to a lot of the other fitness centers in MA. It's also less then five minutes from my moms house which makes It even better! read more

will be leaving this gym because of the bootcamp that takes up half the gym in the morning when I need to get my workouts in. The woman who runs it trains these women and lets them use terrible form that is going to get them hurt, and also takes up the area with all of the squat racks and and power racks. I'm training for a competition and wouldn't care if I didn't have to get my workouts in but its ridiculous. those women should get their money back for poor training. read more

This gym has always been terrible. I've come here for years hoping it would get better, but no. The owner or manager, Nikki, is always stand-offish. The facilities are gross and not well kept, the workout equipment is never sanitized. I'm not coming to work out here anymore. read more

They eliminated all of the equipment in the 30-minute workout area, which was very popular. They also eliminated some of the most used machines, like the hip adduction/abduction, bicep curl, chest press etc. There is always a wait and sometimes, you can't use them at all. Then, to make things worse, they run a special in the summer for teenagers to come for free. The Sturbridge, MA location is much better.

Dave (the owner) who I have befriended now has key card entry and hours are 4am until 11:59pm - you can stay if you get in before then but you can't swipe in after 11:59pm. What a great system! Dave and his wife are the most friendly and genuine people! The downstairs is half cardio machines and rest are all kinds of machines. Upstairs is 90% free weights. although there's no "fancy" state-of-the-art equipment there is a real squat rack, deadlift platform and a few benches to choose from. It's a real weight room. This place is my second home. There's something for everyone, it's never jam packed and every experience I've had with other members is great. People either keep to themselves or even will offer to spot you, they will for sure if you ask. A serious gym where newbies and even senior lifters are welcome!

I have been a YMCA member for almost ten years. I stuck with them through several moves and many…read morelocations. The Y is a great community driven place where a person truly feels connected to their neighborhood and I love it for that. I also love the low cost and the membership sliding scale during times of financial hardship. The Y is a great place to get a family membership for all of these reasons. When I moved to Worcester a few years back, I was at first hesitant to join the closest Y to my house, because it is in a rough neighborhood and I had preconceived notions about the types of people I would encounter in a facility located in the heart of a drug and gang-ridden 'hood. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find that many good, honest, working folks use this Y, including several pillars of the community. All of the equipment is in good condition, and it is evident that the funding this branch gets is good because they are constantly updating equipment and remodeling. But what really ruins this particular YMCA branch is the extremely poor customer service at the desk and the ridiculous characters they consider "personal trainers." In spite of having so many employees on at any given time, they seem to prefer congregating and having a laugh to actually helping anyone. When you call, the phone rings off the hook and nobody answers. When you come in person, the group of young people working the desk practically ignore you or give you one word answers. When you send letters or faxes, you do not get confirmations or responses. The hours at this location are horrendous also. They close super early every night and they're too lazy to open on Sundays. Most people who work need access during nights and weekends, yet this branch doesn't seem to care. A couple of months out of the year they "extend their hours" to include a few hours on Sundays. The trainers in the fitness area are 9 out of 10 obese. How anyone would pay someone in worse shape then they are to train them is beyond me. They charge normal rates for personal training yet the trainers look more in need of it then the members. There are several branches of YMCAs accessible to residents of Worcester and neighboring towns. DON'T waste your money on the Main Street, Central Branch. If you do choose this Y out of convenience, get the membership that allows you to use the other YMCA locations also, otherwise you'll wish you had.

Me and My Friend Joined the gym about 1 month ago. We LOVE IT!!! LOVE IT! We both just joined the 60 Day challenge today.. The gym is beautiful and it looks like they have done a lot of work inside. The Classes are AWESOME! The instructors are so motivating. Everyone including members have been so welcoming. I was at another local gym in town for the past 2 years. The NEW Pure Fitness doesn't even fit in the same category. The Gym is very impressive! We have both been super impressed with all aspects of this gym.! We are very happy we found this gym, and will spread the word. If you want a top notch gym, I would try this gym out! I just got 3 more 14 day passes for friends, can 't wait to bring them to this gym with me! :) Happy Purefitness member and did I say I already lost 6 lbs from taking the classes! read more

I recently was part of a free challenge that was offered and I took it. I got out of my comfort zone and let my insecurities go and completed the 30 days. In those 30 days I went to all 3 EFC locations and tried different equipment that I didn't even know existed! I meet some amazing instructors besides making new gym friends! Webster EFC is my "home". The instructors go above and beyond their jobs. The encouragement and support is amazing. If you need a wake up message you will be sure to get one! They push you to be better and never doubt you. The makeover at the Webster location was well overdue and is incredible! I will continue to tell all my friends and family about this gym in hopes they will love it like me! read more

I am a long time member of the Webster gym and have watched it go through many changes. Since being under new management it has gotten a total face lift. New machines, a shake bar and a paint job. I know there are many more changes in the works. My membership allows me to travel to 3 different locations. I have recently been to ALL 3 and was greeted by the most friendly staff and was able to try out a few new machines and took some classes. The instructors at ALL locations are very welcoming and want to make sure you are working up to your full potential. There is no judgement by anyone. I would totally recommend this gym. read more

Member here for over 3 years. Had no idea when I joined that I would gain a family. The Les Mills instructors at this gym are phenomenal and made me actually love a fitness program for once in my life! They are coaches every day both in and out of the gym and I am forever grateful for their dedication and commitment. I became a member when it was originally Pure fitness and followed the gym thru different names and years to the finalized product, which is Everybody's Fitness...I am SO happy I stuck with this place and am a member of the best gym in the area. EFC recently took over the existing gym space in Webster. They have done a lot of updates to the facility and the equipment. Everyone is super friendly and welcoming. The Auburn location is wonderful too. If you are looking for a new gym to call home, come check out EFC. read more
