I brought a group of ladies here before a fancy awards banquet nearby, so they could all relax before getting ready. They all LOVED it!! I stopped in the day before to check the place out and make the reservation. They were very accommodating and friendly. The massage rooms aren't super fancy, but nice and comfortable. Not all the ladies that work there know English, which was a little challenging, but not a big deal. Prices were great and it was easy to get everyone in and out. They don't have a lot of parking, but I was lucky to have a handicap sticker since one of the ladies with us couldn't walk much. I also have to give the masseuse big points for giving massage to a group of older ladies and made them all feel comfortable and used the perfect pressure on each of them. They were able to accommodate a couples massage last minute. The spa is next to a pizza place. It's a lot larger inside than it looks from the outside. We quickly were shown our rooms. It was small and kinda warm. We undressed and got on the tables. This was such a great massage. Her medium pressure was so great. They definitely surprised me with the underwear pull down but boy it was fabulous. She went to town on my very sore calfs and I am so grateful. Mid way, they bring in hot stones. Similar to other massage places in the Point Loma area, you have to question why this place is open until 10. The massages are fantastic, though I wish there was more attention to the quads. However, I was just in. I payed for a 2 hour massage. I wanted to give a 20% tip and rounded up so it was closer to 22%. Both women at the front desk stared at me. One rolled her eyes and said "2 hours is a long time". I agreed and said that's why I'm tipping well. She kept repeating it was a long time until I upped my tip to 30%. In fact, this was my second massage in a week; the 1st massage was to my regular place, but it wasn't good, their staff is always changing and massages are not consistent. So today I went here. I had a very weird experience..... I gave an extra star because I was able to get in super quick on short notice and the leg and arm massage was pretty good during the full body. The lady at the front desk didn't speak any English, only threw her phone at me to speak to her boss. I gave her the benefit of the doubt, maybe she was just subbing in and they were short handed. But my massage therapist made me extremely uncomfortable. At first, I got a weird vibe from this place when a man who wreaked of alcohol stumbled in, in front of me and got mad that a specific massage therapist wasn't working. I lay on a very uncomfortable table. The dude was literally just squirting me with lotion all over and just aggressively moving his hands up and down my back. I told him I was there because of neck and shoulder pain. But it seemed like he just wanted to focus on my lower back and ass. But what made me extremely uncomfortable was the fact that he pulled my underwear down half way down my ass. I didn't say anything until he proceeded to pull them down LOWER midway through the massage where I had to yell at him and pull them back up. This is no happy ending buddy.... then he seemed irritated and became more aggressive during the massage. By the end of the massage, I was rubbed down with a wet cold and rough towel. It made me feel disgusting. I also requested hot stone but never got it but that's okay, I just wanted to get the hell out of there. I felt a lot of lower back pain due to moving for the past weekend which made me want to get a massage. Me and my boyfriend wanted to go here due to a great experience our first time around. I wish I could say the same for our recent visit. The massage itself was SUPER PAINFUL and added more pain to my lower back. My masseuse kept BANGING on my lower back after I told her many times that it hurt and that I would like for my massage pressure to be softer. She seemed very in a RUSH when coming in and out of the room. SHE BURNT ME when she threw the really hot hot stone onto the bed which scared me. When she was wiping me down she was really AGGRESSIVE to the point that I had to tell her to slow down. Towards the end of the massage she threw lotion onto my face and started massaging really quickly and aggressively on my face in which she finally said "okay, all done" and proceeded to exit the room. What tipped me over the edge was that when I went to go pay, the receptionist who was handling payments looked at the cash and looked at me and said "this is for two massages?", I've never been so appalled at what I heard. I also found it really odd that when my boyfriend and I walked in she didn't even ask my name all she had was my phone number and we walked back to the couples room and goes " take off clothes, be ready in 5 mins" that's it. My boyfriend who had never had a massage before was just going with it so okay fine. We did as we were told but both left our underwear on as any other massage place would tell you to do. They come in, don't even introduce themselves, and just start. There was no rhythm or technique to what they were doing, or at least in my opinion. I couldn't relax. Some parts of the massage were great like the head massage and leg parts. AND then I find out at the end of the massage the woman had ask my boyfriend to remove his underwear ( which apparently she removed herself, while he was still under the blanket) and continued to massage up his leg. ( no I am not saying there was a happy ending Because I would have LOST MY MIND on that chick) but like WHAT?! you do not need my boyfriend to take off his briefs in order for you to complete the massage. Of course he didn't realize it was weird because it was his first massage. Oh also they throw in "free hot stones" which were maybe 3 mins total of the massage and then they use a hot towel to wipe you down after which leaves you freezing afterwards. And they would leave the room to go get them... which I also thought was super unprofessional.
