For the price and going in for a problem area, fantastic! To preface, I'm someone that's very low maintenance/simple. If you are more high maintenance and want all the extras and more expensive spa features this may not be the place for you, but giving that as a warning now so someone with that type of lifestyle doesn't go in thinking it's something it's not. I really feel like I have to leave a review because some of the negative reviews almost discouraged me from going here, but I am SO glad I did. About 2 weeks ago I strained a muscle in my left upper back and another just deep to my L shoulder blade. I have background in PT and work in healthcare so I tried to resolve it myself with no avail. In the field I work in, I am axial loading A LOT, carrying heavy bags, gear, and equipment. This week I told myself I NEEDED to get a massage. I've gotten several over the years as someone with Thoracic (70deg) and lumbar (50deg) severe scoliosis. I got a 90min full body massage today for $90. I had Lucy and she was GREAT! I showed her the areas I was having tightness and she worked that out and more in the first 30 minutes. I was skeptical at first because the first 30 mins of the massage were dry with no lotion, but I think that was intentional to work out the knots that I had throughout my back. For the next 30 mins, she used lotion and primarily continued on my whole back, neck, and upper glute area. Last 30 minutes she covered my limbs front/back and chest area. I am a 5'2, 160 lbs, solid, athletic build female. My masseuse was probably no more than 120lbs but you wouldn't have known it. She used leverage to really get into the areas I had problems with and I left as a satisfied customer feeling much looser in my upper back. Definitely will be back and recommend! Things to consider: *For the price, you're not getting a fancy place. For some the sheet may be too small/not enough coverage. If that's something that is a concern for you I would recommend bringing a sheet of your own along for extra draping and/or asking for an additional sheet. It didn't bother me, but I saw that was a complaint below. *Walls and doors are thin. If you're going there for a muted experience where you only hear the music in the background, not a place for you. (I'm super easy and low maintenance so that wasn't bothersome for me, but I could see how that might bother someone else.) *They do not do an intake/waiver form like other fancier places do. If that's something that will bother you, I think that's a good thing to inform as well. They have an eastern medicine approach (not bothersome to me but maybe to others) read more

Oh my goodness this is a hidden gem. If you have a big car it might be trickier but they have their own parking lot. They have a sign on the street to walk upstairs. It is not a Burke's, woodhouse Day Spa or a hotel Spa. I've been there and prefer this place if you want a very good deep tissue massage. The room is not fancy, but it is clean and all the rooms have doors. I had Tina today and she did such a good job. I regularly get massages once a month. I am sad I don't live close by. She knew that my shoulders were knotted and spent a lot of time getting all the knots out. She knows her anatomy and often checked in to see if I was doing okay. She offered some herbal Chinese medicine, I think it is similar to biofreeze. I took the chance and glad I tried it. I feel like a new person. read more

I've been multiple times and have used Lili. She has been spot on every time. She always asks about pressure and if I need more. Tonight I told her I had soreness in my back, so she spent some extra time there and even took it a step further by walking on my back instead of using her hands, which allowed her to apply additional pressure...I'll definitely go back time and time again. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I am a licensed massage therapist of 18 years. I was leaving my cardiologist and drove past this place. The sign said 39.99 for a half hour. I decided to try it. I get massages almost weekly or bi weekly because I see at least 5-7 clients a day myself. First when I walked in, all the therapist ran up front as if it was a brothel and waited to be picked. The front desk lady asked one therapist to see me. She said no. I didn't understand that. All I did was asked if they had anyone available. Immediately when I pay for the 30 min. She's like 20 more dollars and we will do a hour.i said no. Because of the one lady attitude that didn't want to see me. I asked if Thia massage was available? Yes and she took me to a room in the back. The therapist The draping was next to non existing, and very revealing. I felt so uncomfortable how the therapist was lifting the small sheet up looking at my body. As a woman I've had bad experiences. This was triggering. The massage was horrible, I hurt more coming out than going in. She didn't have a concern in her body what was going on with my body. If it was a good massage, I would have gotten more time and most likely returned. I left a 1 dollar tip. Usually I'm a great tipper being I'm in the industry and have a love for fellow real therapist. But to not leave anything would have been a compliment. Bummed to come into write a negative review as I've been going here for a few years. I went for a couple massage with my daughter on her birthday. While the ladies were very nice, they talked to us the entire time, kept commenting on my daughter body and appearance (she is beautiful) and the massage itself didn't feel skilled at all as they used to be. My daughter is 20, so it was awkward for her but she made the best of it. I felt the front desk person was not professional at all. You used to be able to request massage therapist by name when booking online, and the front desk person was always professional. We didn't complain, paid $120 + tip but that's the last time we will be going. read more

I went to San Diego for a wedding and stayed at a resort by the beach. The hotel I was at offered massages but it was about $350 for a 50 minute massage. I said NAH! Found this hidden jem and it was absolutely amazing. There are no frills, but the massages were great! My massage therapist use great pressure and I felt fantastic the next day! The place was filthy and stinky, the staff extremely rude and unprofessional, the lady who was massaging me was yawning loudly and talking to the other masseuse in the room in their language non stop, and they were trying to sell us other services throughout the session. The massage was mediocre and very unpleasant. When tipping at the end (20%) at the front desk, we were asked very aggressively to give more, I couldn't believe the audacity! If I were to judge the massage alone, then they did a great job. Vivian massaged me and gave the exact level of firmness that I wanted. She lulled me to relaxed state and I eventually fell asleep. If you want a massage without the best methods of scheduling or a welcoming front desk, then this place is for you. I've been to nicer places. The front desk area does not match the rooms. The massage rooms are relaxing and clean with natural light. The front desk area is dark with brown carpet, dark brown colored desk, and auburn walls. There are fake flowers with tags in vases. I get it they're fake, but at least remove the tags. There's also an elliptical on the side of the desk. Is this someone's living space? Scheduling is not great. My sis and I scheduled for Lilian and Rose, but got Vivian and Zha-Zha. They did a good job, but they need to remove Lilian and Rose from their list of massage therapist from their website. Soon after I scheduled, my sis and I got a call from Pacific Beach Massage requesting to change our appointment at 1pm, 45 min from our initial time. We accepted. I thought it was annoying since that our 12:15pm time slot was available online. If you plan to come here, it may best to call them to schedule. Would I come back here again? I was in yesterday for my 3rd massage in the span of about 3 weeks. I've spent nearly $300 on massages here during that short window of time. Yesterday was the second time that I specifically asked for a focus on the right side of my neck and did not get it addressed. The last time I had to ask the girl to switch because she had spent the majority of time on the left side. Yesterday, the girl hardly touched my neck. Then when I was about in tears I was offered 10 minutes of a free massage focusing just on my neck which was nice: however, I had just spent $95 on what I thought would be a neck massage. Then when I went to leave I was asked if I tipped the first girl, which I did although she did not come close to addressing the areas that I wanted. I am in so much pain. The cupping was suctioned too tight and was painful. I have welts on my neck, arms, and shoulders. I've had cupping done before and it was no where near as painful. There is a spot on my neck that is still raised and swollen and warm to the touch and it's been 32 hours since it was done. I'm in more pain in more places now than when I arrived. I understand soreness following a massage but this has reached a level beyond that, in addition the neck area I wanted addressed is still in excruciating pain. I tried addressing this with the establishment via Facebook message and asking a question on yelp. I wanted to bring it to their attention first to see if they'd make it right. I understand owning a small business is hard and negative reviews can negatively impact business and livelihood. With that being said, massages are a big expense for me and I genuinely cannot afford to keep putting time and money into something and not getting the outcome I had asked for. I hate to feel like my money is being wasted because the areas that I really really need worked on have not been addressed. I would be happy to update this review if anything changes. read more

I have been here 4 times before and they have always been so wonderful so I bummed I have to write this. Went yesterday because I needed a massage paid up front and gave tip because I have always had such a great experience. This was the WORST MASSAGE I have ever received. Masseuse rubbed me super fast, with zero pressure and aggressive and slapped my body like she was irritated that she had to do her job. I asked her for More pressure and she dug her elbows in like you want more pressure I'll give it to you! This was not a massage it was a rub down with lots of slapping. She sat down on the table numerous times, didn't keep a hand on me at all times, bunched up the sheet on my butt instead of neatly tucking it, left the door cracked when she got my hot rocks and left me exposed. Then slammed the rocks down right by me ear. There was ZERO relaxation and I was out of pocket $70!!! I left feeling more stressed then I did when I went in. What a bummer. read more

I love that I'm able to call at the end of my work day and am always accepted for a last minute massage. This place os always clean and zen. During our last vacation, our party of five went to the Spa for deep tissue massages, including my wife and I for a couple massage. Our backs were a little sore after many hours of driving. After our massages, I collected feedbacks from everyone. The spa is very clean, the staff is friendly, and professional, and the massage tables were comfortable. Everybody felt amazingly well! It is incredible that they have so many good massage therapists in one location. I can say that my therapist (Lili) mastered many different techniques. She asked me multiple times if the pressure was good and really pay attention to my body, and ramped up the pressure to deep tissue. She was very energic when needed. I was able to get a couples massage right away but I just felt she was trying to upgrade me to a combo massage for $10 off for each but it was the same as it would be a foot massage, I have gone to Asian foot massages before sooo, I didn't get my feet soaked cause we were in the couples table massage and also if I had the combo massage , 15 min of my massage was her massaging me above the blanket which is what is the point, so just beware of the pricing. read more

Après 15min d'attente, 2 masseuses arrivent. Donc sur l´heure de passage on tombe à 35 min finalement... Le massage n'a pas du tout été ce qu'on espérait. C'était beaucoup trop " appuyé ", " fort ", aucune douceur, aucun moment de relaxation. A la fin de la séance on avait l'impression de s'être fait roulé dessus tellement nous étions mâchés. Une fois le massage terminée, une autre personne du centre nous demande des tips ! La blague ! On avait pas d'espèces alors par gentillesse on a laissé 10$ donc 170$ en tout ! It was a lot of pushing and it was hard to communicate that the pressure was too hard. When I was there another client came in who made an appointment online. Likely the most technically sound Asian massage I've gotten.. the "pressing" that some reviewers mentioned is so effective. Totally put my nerves in a relaxed state by smooshing from my skull to my tailbone. It is everything I want in a massage when my body gets tight. Not a relaxing spa type. I pointed out my 'problem' area to Sasha, actually asking her not to directly press on it and instead she located all the muscles around it and cleared up an issue I have had with my neck for years. My asthma has also been bothering me lately (the fires from NoCA always affect me) and she located the point on my feet to open my lungs, plus used hot stones on my chest. I've been to message establishment before several times in the past and during the pandemic. I called and made an appointment for my partner and I for a cupping session at 4:30pm and I was offered other services which I declined due to time restraints. We arrived on time (4:30pm) and we're asked to purchase a message for best results, we declined and I was then asked to pay for the services and tip before services were even rendered but I was a good sport and even gave a generous tip. We we're brought to separate rooms which was fine. My services provider showed me the table was warm and to get undressed. She came in briefly after as I was ready face down on the table and this is we're it all went wrong. My service provider started putting on the plastic cups on my back without putting anything on or asking me any questions. She left the room abruptly after putting 2 two cups on my back without any oil or communication. She then came back in just as quickly as she left and immediately took off the cups and started messaging oil into my back and then proceeded to place the plastic cups back on my back and cover it with the one sheet provided . I asked her to loosen a cup or too and then she asked if I was okay. I said yes and she left the room leaving my door open for several minutes making this experience more uncomfortable than it needed to be. The service provider came back in the room about 7 minutes later and took the plastic cups off and messaged my back and said done. I was shocked at the horrible service received and when I looked at the clock it was 4:48pm and my appointment was at 4:30pm. I was extremely disappointed and embarrassed that I brought and recommended this place. read more

Ok, here we go, I have chronic pain issues, old sports injuries and lupus. I came in expecting the same old,, auto pilot massage. At about 15 minutes in, I realized I was tearing up, actually starting to cry a bit. Not from pain but from relief and relaxation, like a weight off my shoulders. I have traveled all around the world and Amy was the first person to manage to relax my arm enough to get my shoulder over my head. She honestly cared about what she was doing and I could tell she was invested in trying to relieve my pain and was focused and cared about her job. At the end she and the owner realized they accidentally shorted me about 20 mins and offered more time, but honestly I didn't care. I was so thankful that I was floating and ready to take on the rest of the day. I forgot to mention, the place is not fancy but don't judge a book by its cover. It was spotless and the bathroom was scrubbed. You can tell there is a lot of pride here in keeping it clean and comfortable.
