So we chose indoor due to the wet weather..... Arrival 1055pm they close 1am 1. Outside is HOOKAH but no prices & they were pretty dirty. You are given a menu as you are seated (menus should digital for that type of setting) & given water. 2. We waited about 20 mins before a server comes to ask for DRINKS it was almost mandatory to order a drink before ordering appetizers. 3. Inside is VERY dark towards the front area do seeing your food requires a cellphone light. 4. The ambience is not pleasing, besides the DJ 5. FOOD WAS OK!! Arriving to eves lounge, I did arrive early while they was setting up so they offered me a outdoor seat and a menu to review while I wait. The host and staff was very nice ! They gave us a choice of indoor or outdoor seating. The host was very responsive and speedy; wait time for food & drink were under 10 minutes! The drinks were definitely a necessity to order for a nice 85 degree day in BK; I had the ultimate LIT & it was strong but decent to drink. The pricing was reasonable and they always offered hookah but due to state laws and guidelines it was tobacco free but it was good not a complaint out of me . This place charges $4 for a hookah hose and that doesn't make any sense at all. They also do not replace the coals and say if you want new coals, then you have to pay for a hookah refill for $20 which is the stupidest thing I have ever heard. A favorite little vibey spot of me and my boyfriend. We were looking for a cute black owned place to grab drinks one night and stumbled about Eve's. We have been beach maybe three times since. This place is cute. The owner Kim is kind, great smile and was on the floor with staff greeting customers. I came on a Thursday 10 minutes til closing and they were so generous they kept the kitchen open. The bartender Deandre was very attentive. Ask for Deandre. The sweet chili wings were bomb. There's a mandatory 20% tip added to all bills, regardless of party size. I'm not ok with this, especially when the service is shitty. Not the customers job to supplement your employees salaries. With that said... The food & drinks: Both the margarita and mojito were amazing. The taste was perfection in a glass and not for nothing I'd definitely recommended this place for cocktails. The Parmesan fries were out of this world amazing. I could've eaten the entire order myself and still craved more. The burger was cooked to perfection and my son thoroughly enjoyed it. Drinks were taken to our table within 5 minutes of being ordered however my friend ordered bottled water, he brought a glass of water and walked away. I assumed he was returning with my drink but nope, had to summon him 10 minutes later to ask about my drink. He then patted my back, yup, he patted me and said "I remember I'll be back with it shortly". Five minutes later still no drink, had to find him again. This time he came to ask if I wanted a small or large margarita. This was a brand new question for me as he didn't impart that info when I originally ordered. I opted for the large. Asked about bottled water, we were informed at that point they don't stock any. By now my annoyance is beyond high. Food started coming out 45 minutes after we arrived. Asked for cutlery and napkins. He brought TWO even though we're a table of three. He walked off again and again I have to stop him to ask for another set. Never returned to the table to ask how the food was hence we just ate the salty wings and called it a night. Final analysis: Ultimately I think this place is good or rather could be good if they fix their service/efficiency issues and tighten up on the food quality otherwise they need to remove that ridiculous mandatory 20% tip because you don't get what you tip for, service. I literally was at Eve's not too long ago today (technically yesterday 8/5/23 but I left at midnight 8/6/23 today). My sister and I came here for something calm. It did take a little while for us to get our food and drinks. The PROBLEM came in when we got our bill. We were charged for 3 margaritas but that was on the waiters' fault (yes as in more than one waiter). My sister ordered her margarita with our ORIGINAL waiter then another waiter came over and asked me if I wanted another. When BOTH waiters came back my sister was given TWO margaritas. We told them that she ordered 1 but our original waiter told us to keep it. The other waiter (some guy with glasses and locks) went back and forth with me about the extra charge on the bill and said that because my sister accepted the other margarita, they charged us for it. THAT MAKES NO SENSE honestly speaking. That is you and your peer's fault for not communicating. It was just too many hands in one pot. That was honestly disrespectful to charge us for an extra drink that WE SAID was not ordered and that my sister already ordered her drink with our ORIGINAL waiter. 1 Star for the DJ who plays legit music and the fact they have TVs everywhere so no matter where you are sitting you can watch the game that is on. Bring cash tbh or you might get scammed. Here's my story: Came in after first Saturday at Brooklyn museum with my cousins. It was packed and we waited about 10 min for a table. We were a table of 3 but they sat us at a table clearly meant for 2 people even though there was a 4 top available. We didn't complain because we were just going to get a quick app and drinks and go. Looking at the menu things looked good but I was put off by the fact there is a $15 minimum on cards, this would make sense at a dive sports bar but a "midscale" sports bar is weird. I was getting over a cold and wasn't drinking, most of the apps are below $15 so wasn't worth ordering a full meal so I just had water thinking we wouldn't stay long. Well we ended up staying longer because the table of guys next to us ended up chatting us up. This is when the bartender brought out another round for my cousins that the guys had purchased. Then the owner (who was also waitressing as well) came up to me and said the guys got our tab and I could order anything I wanted. I said cool but was feeling a bit sick still so I declined to order anything. In between this and our leaving one of the guys cashed out and there was an odd exchange with the bartender. They claimed the charge didn't go through on his card even though he had signed the receipt. I wasn't paying too close attention to it but I remember him checking his banking app to confirm because why would a receipt generate if he wasn't charged? First suspicious thing. Second was when we were leaving. They cleared our table and me and my cousins took our time saying goodbye to the remaining guys. We left and were halfway up the block when the owner flags us down to say we didn't pay and was pretty rude to my cousin accusing us of dining and dashing. We were confused because 1) She told me the guys paid our tab 2)There was a good 20 min we were standing next to the bar not at our cleared table saying goodbyes with our coats on clearly about to leave and no one said anything about a bill not being paid. It's a tiny place so there could have been no confusion we were leaving vs going outside for a smoke. It honestly sounds like they are trying to run a scam and double charge people. I could write it off as a misunderstanding but considering previous reviews and what happened to the guys as well sounds like they are trying to run game. The Falafel Burger was so amazingly flavorful. Crisp crunchy cucumbers, pickles (I asked for that add on), alfalfa and other tasty vegan friendly add ons! Shout out to the cook, Shanice. With a side of sweet potato fries coupled with BBQ & Hot Sauce dipping sauces. I was so happy to be able to have great bar food (that was vegan friendly) for a change! The low lighting and ambiance makes for a perfect date night spot. The candle lights that adorn the bar and every table add a nice touch. There are 3 flat screens! Perfect for watching games. Yesterday was my second time going to Eve's lounge and I was ecstatic about it! Another opportunity to getting their delicious jerk tacos and drinks. My first experience was pretty okay. The food took rather long, but my friends and I had hookah which made the time go by faster. But this second experience was disastrous. If I could give "0" stars, I would. After having an intense workout, my friends and I decided to come here since it was close in the neighborhood and the food was good. We were able to get seats fast. The waiter insisted we order our drinks prior to us placing our food order despite our wanting to do so with the new time restraint on restaurants. Against our better judgement, drink orders were placed at 8:30 pm and were received around 8:45 pm. Then myself and two friends placed our orders and vibed out - having a good time listening to the music. While we waited we witnessed a customer get into a heated altercation with one of the owners, which made me feel sorry for the management. Not sure what it was about, but I understand that situations like this may occur. Keeping this in mind my party and I didn't want to cause any more stress to the management while continuing to wait patiently for our food. Around 9:30, we noticed patrons that arrived after us were receiving their food and asked for the status of ours. The waiter said the kitchen is backed up, and to "give us a few more minutes." 9:45 pm comes around and we still did not get our food or even offered to get a refill on drinks. The waiter then came back and said our food will be ready in 10 minutes. Guess what! 10 minutes goes by and still no food. Instead, we asked to speak to one of the two owners that were on site. The owner mentioned to us that the food order was never put in and it will take additional time for our food to come. After waiting 1.5 hours, we decided to cancel the order, because someone was lying about the status of the food. The waiter and manager did not care enough to attempt to remedy the situation. Complete disregard for customer service. The owner instead gave us child cups of drink that we did not imbibe in because we were so hungry and annoyed. Soon after she brought out our check and charged us for the drinks that we had 1.5 hours ago. Total lack of sympathy and she, as an owner, didn't care at all that we waited for service we didn't receive. At this point it is 10:15. I then insisted to speak to the other owner, Debra, who ended up being even worse than the previous owner I spoke with. We broke down the course of the night and about our waiting 1.5 hours for food with horrible service. Here are the red flags from our conversation: 1. I mentioned that the inconvenience this caused us since the change in NYC laws. We have extremely limited time to find a new spot to dine and get food by 11 pm. She tried to "educate" me about the law by stating, "well as long as you get your order in by 11, you'll be fine." Totally negated my point of waiting for a service that we didn't receive. 2. She then blamed us for canceling the food and said they ended up throwing it away, instead of the staff communicating that it was ready. We wouldn't have cancelled the order if we had known. 3. She then tried to blame US on why we didn't receive our food. Her exact words were, "Well if I was you, I wouldn't have waited that long and asked for a manager." Again, negating my whole point of talking to the other manager who said our order was never put in. Lack of accountability. 4. I mentioned that the lack of sympathy and how they failed to resolve this situation was bothersome, and she wasn't phased about our concerns at all. Throughout the conversation I felt that because she was older she tried to play the "Aunty" role and cut me off mid sentence while expressing my concerns. So we ended up paying for the drinks and left. There was no reasoning with Debra who lacks customer service skills and lack knowledge on restaurant etiquette. We ordered a pitcher of mimosa ($35) we got many glasses out it. The entire group arrives. The waitress comes over and asks if we are ready to order but there is only one menu at the table. I ask the waitress if we can have menus and she completely ignores me and asks my bf what he said instead so he repeated what I said. I'm thinking that was weird. She goes away for a few minutes and brings menus for everyone. A few minutes later we order. We are now waiting for our food. Our pitcher is now done. The waitress reaches over and picks up the pitcher and leaves. Doesn't ask we would like another one or if anyone will like another drink. A few minutes later she comes out with the first order of chicken and waffles and says the orders are prepared individually so be patient. Say what now! Prepared individually, like you make one plate at a time. I don't even cook like that at home. How can a restaurant be sustained cooking like that. I must mention 3 people ordered chicken and waffles, those could have been made at the same time. So over the course of about 45 minutes dishes are coming out individually for our party of 6. Some people are done eating while others haven't even gotten their food as yet. And still doesn't come back to ask to if we will like more drinks or water. At one point they come and pick up all the glasses from the tables while we are still eating. We even tried ordering drinks a few times it was unsuccessful. Needless to say, don't think I'll be back. This place was very clean and the food was ok...nothing spectacular. The issue was a miscommunication problem. Our waitress asked us If we wanted a drink that the bartender mistakenly made. She wasnt specific on whether she was going to charge us for this drink we did not order. Great chill spot. Always playing great tunes. Bartenders are friendly. The owners are there regularly and very sweet Kim and Deborah. Love the ambiance. Pretty dimly lit. Exposed brick warm colors. 3 Flat screens great to watch the games. Small to be considered a lounge but has the right vibe. Happy Hour is everyday 5-8. $5 well & wines $3 shots & pbr's $6 martinis. They also have food specials. I live off the salmon burger and mozzarella sticks (honestly eat this 2-3 times a week comes out to about $20). Salmon is always juicy and a great portion, the veggies on it is always fresh and the chipotle mayo adds a nice touch. Mozzarella sticks are crisp on the outside and warm gooey cheese on the inside. The outside crust is seasoned nicely. The wings are okay. I've had all the flavors sweet chili, mango jerk, buffalo and reg crispy. I like the sweet chili and reg crispy with bleu cheese the best. But 6 pieces for $9 isn't worth it to me. The BAB burger is also delicious. Bacon Arugula Bleu cheese. In addition to those ingredients it comes with red onions and garlic aioli. It's really well balanced in terms of flavor. Everything works really well together. The loaded fries are yummy but a pretty small portion for 8.50. It comes with a LITTLE bit of bacon, cheddar and ranch dressing. Needs more condiments and fries. Wouldn't order again. Especially since asking for more condiments comes with a surcharge. The jerk shrimp tacos should be called lettuce wraps. I was honestly so unhappy. The flavor/seasoning on the jerk shrimp was perfect. I mean I really loved the shrimp they should consider serving it as a side or a different version of an entree. You get 2 tacos with 3 medium sized shrimp in each for $12. When I say it contained a ton of lettuce, I mean it was 95% lettuce. It also contained pineapple salsa and ranch but besides when you bit into 1 of the 3 shrimps the only thing you taste is lettuce. My suggestion is less lettuce, more shrimp, more pineapple salsa and more ranch. Maybe even smaller tacos shells so you can serve 3 instead of 2. Wouldn't order this again either. The chicken sandwich is my least favorite thing. It's the same chicken strips you can get as a side served on a bun with lettuce, tomatoes, pickles and chipotle mayo. I was honestly shocked at how bland it was. Considering everything else I've ate here has tons of flavor. You can get the chicken prepared crispy or grilled. I got the crispy version. We had multiple issues with the hookah. The issues were escalated to management and there was never a resolution. We ended up wasting our money on 2 hookahs that we did not enjoy. The owner was condescending and unfriendly. Will not return. read more

I LOVE EVE'S LOUNGE! My good friend and I always do happy hour on Friday nights and she suggested Eve's. She discovered it a few weeks ago with co-workers and said that she really enjoyed herself. We arrived around 6:15pm so we were able to take advantage of their happy hour, (most drink items were under $6.00 during happy hour.) My friend got a glass of Moscato and I had Merlot. Ordering wine at bars can be hit or miss, sometimes the wine has been open for a while and has turned or has a bitter taste but both our wines were fresh and flavorful. We also ordered the crispy fried wings and side of regular fries with chipotle mayo. Everything was so tasty and cooked perfectly. The service was perfect and attentive. I know it seems small but refilling out water glasses and clearing our dirty plates is something that just speaks to the quality of attention devoted to their patrons. The music and whole ambiance was on point. The overall vibe is so chill and relaxing. Hearing Jill Scott, The Foregin Exchange, Sampha, Erykah Badu and so much more makes you never want to leave. They also had a DJ setting up for the later crowd and I look forward to coming back for that. As we were getting up to leave, one of the managers Kim took the time to spark up a conversation with us. Although they were getting busier, she was genuinely interested in getting to know us better. We must have talked for 15 minutes about random things and she made us feel like we had known each other for years. Great place. Nice vibes. Amazing staff. I came in with a friend per his recommendation. The food was delicious and fairly priced. I'd recommend that you come check it out. In other words Debra is an amazing owner and very hospitable. Real laid back atmosphere, food and drinks are good. People are always looking for conversations. My boyfriend wanted to come here because he heard of this place from a friend, so we went tonight. This was nice. It's small but enough space for everyone.
