I came here for a late night hangout and I loved it. I had such a nice time, we wanted to go to another place but it was closed. So first the ac was on and the temperature was fine which is super important because with this heat and humidity, the temperature of an establishment is a factor for me. Next the service, the employee was great very attentive and gave great recommendations. I ordered the slider's appetizer and two drinks. The sliders appetizer was good, it had a beef, jerk chicken, friend chicken and salmon. The jerk chicken and salmon were really good, they were flavorful. The beef one was also juicy and great. The fries were also good. The drinks were really good and innovative, had good flavor. The drinks had the right balance of liquor and juice. The only downside is they didn't have frozen drinks which I love but it is fine they had a nice list of mocktails. If I lived in Brooklyn I would definitely be a regular here. The place is welcoming and a great place to have a drink, you can speak and enjoy the music. My partner, his mother and I came here for super late brunch this Mother's Day, excited to find somewhere to sit o outside and enjoy the beautiful weather, without lines. We were seated immediately as the place only had one to two other parties. There is a lot of room inside with different types of seating, but we decided to enjoy their lovely front patio, which has about 4 to 5 tables. Water was served in acute repurposed wine bottle in small little wine glasses, and we quickly decided on what we wanted to eat. I ordered a glass of the Malbec and the Kale Caesar salad. My partner ordered the Silver Chic, and his mom ordered Two Eggs Any Style (over easy). Probably the most notable part about our experience here was how long it took for our food to come out. We waited for an hour for our food to come out, which our waitress let us know was because the grits had to be cooked. I completely understand this, but that being said, I wish that the waitress would've given us a heads up that the grits meant waiting an hour, as we had somewhere to be afterwards. She did say that she would bring us a complementary glass of wine to make up for it, but that never came. However, I think she either forgot to charge us for my original glass of wine, or took that off the check which was nice. My salad was great, with clearly fresh ingredients, and all the right proportions of kale to dressing to cheese to croutons. My partner really enjoyed the fried chicken with his meal. He said that it was seasoned and cooked perfectly, and the fruit on his plate was fresh. His mother loved her meal as well, with the eggs being a little overcooked, but everything else being fantastic. She said the bacon was cooked to perfection. This was my second visit at Therapy Wine Bar and it was better than my first visit . This time around, both Bartendar's were accommodating, hospital, and sociable . The music was a vibe, and the atmosphere definitely chill vibes to decompress or meet with up for some good conversation . I had a glass of Cabernet and my friend girl had a glass of sangria . We took some cute pictures but what I really loved was I can envision myself bringing back more friends . I really enjoyed the energy at Therapy Wine Bar . I genuinely appreciate how the neighborhood has evolved over the past 10 years or so I've frequented Brooklyn. What I enjoy the most is the influx of Black owned businesses and the various genres to explore. Stopped by this spot on the way to what turned out to be a very reckless evening *sigh. But happy that we stopped here first to pre-game and coat our stomachs. We arrived when they first opened for the afternoon so it was not too busy. Music was playing on the patio and it was a nice enough to sit on the patio, talk and people watch. Obviously as charcuterie head, I tried the cheese board and a flight of their whites (usually a red gal) but the white paired nicely. I came here for a Yelp Elite Event and it was cute. So I decided to come back and see what it was really like, and it was better. We came on a Saturday nite it wasn't crowded but still had a flow coming in and out. This is a cute spot to sip wine, listen to good music and enjoy a few bites. The staff was excellent!! We had the cheese board, charcuterie, fried goat cheese, and French fries. The cheese board had brie, smoked gouda and pepper jack. The meat board had prosciutto and sopperssata. All were tasty on the pita crisp along with the fruit and mixed nuts. Everything had a light drizzle of honey very tasty touch. The fried goat cheese was crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside. The dried were drizzled with a tart fig glaze, nice touch. The French fries were also good. My friend barely lives two blocks away, so it's a perfect place to grab brunch! Not to mention, the music was on point. In terms of indulging, my friends got a mimosa pitcher, and I got a sorrel mimosa. The sorrel one was tasty, but the OJ mimosa... not so much. That juice was not it. I don't think any amount of champagne can save you from the taste of that juice, whew! Now, the food was pretty good! I decided to wait a week to post my review because I knew I'd be back the following week. As the new spot on the block, I'd been waiting until they began their alcohol service so I could get a full sense of their brunch, and I wasn't disappointed. The decor is great. I really enjoy just being in the space because it looks so nice. The music is on point as well. So far, it's been a pleasant experience alone and with a plus one. Space-wise, they seem best suited for parties not much larger than 4 but I'm sure they could be accommodating. On my solo brunch day, I ordered pancakes and bacon with a mimosa. The pancakes are a little on the savory side, but the powdered sugar and fruit toppings make up for the sweetness you want in a pancake. The presentation is top notch. It took them some time to bring out my food, but my server was very nice and kept me informed about progress. She also gave me a complimentary mimosa for the delay, which I very much appreciated. I knew I'd be back the next week as soon as the table next to me received their meal. Someone ordered chicken and waffles that smelled amazing, and amazing they were. Yesterday I brought my boyfriend along to share in the experience. We were both wowed by the seasoning and juiciness of the boneless chicken thighs served with the waffles. Also, again, excellent presentation. He ordered their breakfast burger which was also really good and lead him to extending an invitation to his parents for brunch soon. We split a mimosa pitcher, which was a great deal for two people. I think it's safe to say that this will be our neighborhood brunch spot from now on. Next I plan to go for happy hour, so I can see what their wings and wine selection are about. And of course, it's a pleasure to support a Black owned business in the neighborhood. Avani was great! Wanted to start there. My issue wasn't with the service at all. We arrived and we're told to sit anywhere. I had perused the menu since Tuesday in preparation for tonight's dinner (friday night). The moment I saw the crispy salmon, my mouth started salivating. Only to arrive and they had no salmon. Like none at all. So I had to pivot. The entree menu is very limited (only 4 items), so I went to the starters. Nothing was really appealing, so I ordered my old faithful: jerk wings and fries. It took 30 minutes for our appetizers to arrive (sliders, wings and fries). The jerks wings were very wet and saucy. Not the jerk wings I'm accustomed to (I'm used to grilled jerk wings/chicken). And the sauce tasted more like Barbecue than jerk. When I mentioned this to Avani, she tried to make things right. She suggested jerk sauce on the side and when that was a no go, she suggested another flavor of wings: the dry curry rub. While the rub curry wasn't very flavorful, I preferred the dry rub wings over the wet jerk wings, but still not what I wanted. Maybe I was too disappointed about the salmon because the only thing I did like was the Tyson Punch drink. The restaurant itself was very nice. The ambiance was perfect. It is a wine bar, so their specialty is probably just wine and cheese. 20% gratuity is included on ALL meals, no matter the party size. It's far from home and I didn't enjoy the food, so I probably won't be back. read more

I love me a good, hearty salad. The salmon was crispy on the outside and smooth on the inside. The salad was paired with a hard boiled egg and tomatoes with a balsamic vinaigrette. The kale was bold and not wilted and very tasty and healthy. The Fried chicken bites were delicious and we ordered a side of jerk sauce and ranch dressing. They didn't have the ranch at the time but our server gave us blue cheese instead. The crunch on the fried chicken reminded me of my nana's southern fried chicken (Alabama folks know what's up). Our server, Siera, was friendly and very attentive. And she had a heavy hand . She was awesome. Lastly, we went around 4 pm, just after brunch and the ambiance was relaxed and welcoming. Got their version of a sidecar and they salted my rim... the waiter asked us it not suppose to be salted... after I got my replacement one the drink was the same odd lemon concoction but just with a sugared rim. It really should be made as it's meant to be originally. Overall It still wasn't well balanced or tasty but it sure was stiff and I dare say worth the monies. Finally got a chance to try this place after they reopened. The ambiance is so cute and it's a v intimate setting. I came here for brunch and they did not disappoint. They don't offer bottomless but that's okay bc one pitcher will get the job done. I love that they offer different mimosa flavors (get the sorrel mimosa, you won't regret it!) I got the crab cake sliders and fries and let me just say...those fries were AMAZING. I wish the crab cake had like lettuce and tomato on the slider but the aioli it's served with did the slider justice. My sister got the jerk wings which she really enjoyed and the french toast bites. This place is really cute, but they said never judge a book by its cover. The inside is very cute and decorated with pictures representing Brooklyn. The staff was very nice as well. We decided to order 3 decanters of mimosas for the tables. The chillers storing the decanters were very cute. In case you haven't noticed, "cute" is the word for the day. For appetizers, we ordered a Buffalo chicken dip with baked pita chips dusted with spices. This was a hit. So good, we ordered two. For Entrees: 1. Cognac French toast- nothing mind blowing. The cognac will fool you. But it is white bread with syrup. 2. Salmon salad - the salmon was dry, and the salad was just ok. 3. Spicy Kale and mango salad w/ shrimp*- i will write about this dish below 4. Fried wonton - these were good. It's probably the 2nd best thing we ate 5. Truffle fries** - see below 6. Garvey's chicken and waffles- chicken was seasoned ok. There wasn't much of a crunch and it's boneless. I like bone in chicken. But that's my preference. The waffles were just ok. 7. Scrambled eggs/side salad/ grits/ bacon - once again, everything was average. The grits were just ok. It needed more seasoning. The eggs were eggs. The bacn was good. If you mess up bacon then you should stop cooking. 7. Bacon egg sliders- same as above * Now for the spicy mango shrimp salad, this was a new item. And they failed to tell us they had to fly to the Caribbean to pick a mango and throw a net for 4 shrimp because all of the other entrees came out while I waited, and waited, and waited, and waited. Everyone finished their meals, and I still waited, and waited , and waited. I was told it was a new item they were trying and they never added shrimp to it. So, now I think I'll receive the best salad I have ever eaten. Unfortunately, the presentation was lack luster, the mango didn't taste fresh or sweet, as if it was previously frozen. I think cayenne pepper was used, and the shrimp weren't spectacular. It was beyond disappointing. ** The truffle fries were warm, not hot, and a bit soggy. There was also cheese on top that wasn't melted. It just laid on top. It wasn't really truffling. All in all, you win some you lose some. Our waitress was amazing. The outside of the bar was giving garden vibes, with all of the greenery. And the inside is mellow and cozy. The music was on the calm side, hence the environment. Staff was pleasant and attentive. The menu was pretty limited, but everything on the happy hour menu is $7! For happy hour, you have wine choices of Chardonnay (white) or Shiraz (red). It appears they don't offer all food items on the same day or "ran out" for the day. But no big deal to me - I just worked with what they had. For starters, ordered the Fried Chicken Bites and Shrimp Fried Wontons. Both were really good. The sauce for the wontons was on the spicy/salty side (reminds me of a spicy soy sauce). For my entree (aka hearty bites), ordered the Crispy Salmon served with fries and Kale. If you ask me, this dish was a drunk meal (some items pieced together). First, the food I ordered was objectively disgusting. The salmon was fried hard (no flavor whatsoever), served with soggy fries and kale overloaded with black pepper. Since when did we serve Salmon with french fries? The food wasn't edible. Second, the owner lingered near our table in a way that made us uncomfortable while eating. We sat mid-restaurant, across from the bar, at the high table. We had two open seats next to us. At first, he ran his hands across our table. We looked at each other like, "Um?" My date had her bag seated in the chair next to her, where he continued to stand which made her move her bag. He left and came back, lingered again, then introduced himself as the owner. It was bizarre. Finally, there were some women performing karaoke, which we appreciated. It was like American Idol these women were singing their hearts out lol. The restaurant is small and the sound of their voices echoed throughout the entire restaurant so we had to leave to have a conversation. The ambiance is a 10/10 tho. Marble tables, neon lights, the works. I really wished the food matched. Overall, it's a wine bar so I seriously need to manage my expectations.
