It was a buzz of activity as people prepared deliveries, put flowers together in arrangements and kept the place clean by sweeping away cut leaves and stem ends. The shop is not your typical florist shop with a fridge on one side and sample arrangements to another. Instead, this is almost a warehouse like setting with a small cashier/customer service area in the front - and that's fine. It's organized and it really gives you the scope of how much they do on a daily basis. It was quite impressive. I was worried the staff would be too busy to help me, but a really nice lady came up to me and asked me what I needed. I told her. She asked me two things: color palette and dollar limit. I answered both and she disappeared into the back for a while. Note: as I waited, at least three staff members asked me if I was being helped. They really want to take care of people! When she came back out she put together a *gorgeous* little arrangement and I was absolutely floored that it didn't cost more. She was very sweet as I checked out and I left very happy. I appreciated the step by step transparency. I'm sure you can find a cheaper florist or less pricy bouquets from a corner store but I was in a bind and they were open later than all other florists. Greenpoint Floral…read more Nick and Greenpoint Floral was the best random thing to happen to our wedding. I say random because we had planned to order flowers online from Costco and another site and to do most of the flowers ourselves. Our venue was Greenpoint Loft and after a visit we wandered into Greenpoint Floral just to pick up some soil. After speaking with Nick about our vision the magic began. He has a great way of explaining things where he's educating you but making you feel good about the questions you're asking. Never feels like he's selling you anything you don't need. And he seems to genuinely enjoy sharing his passion for flowers. He never tries to force you into changing your vision for any reason, and makes you examples right on the spot. He actually took the initiative to recommend changes that would save us money but let us maintain our vision. We went from planning to do all DIY but the Chuppa to doing all Nick and only the centerpieces DIY. We're so glad we made these choices. Doing the centerpieces ourselves was really fun and he made sure we had enough and priced out each stem for us! He gave us tons of tips along the way to ensure we would be successful. He was quick to communicate via email and every time we met he spent almost an hour with us. I was blown away by the Chuppa flowers and the flowers he picked for my centerpieces were exactly what I envisioned. I still spent a lot less than the average cost of flowers in New York and had more than I imagined. I took home a Chuppa piece and made bouquets for tons of people, dried my bouquet, and pressed a bunch, too. I'm so happy to preserve these -- one my my favorite parts of our wedding. Thank you, Nick, for everything!!! We can't wait for you to see the pro photos! We'll be coming by in the future for houseplants and just to say hi!

As it provides joy for a few hours then it gets dump to the side. For my event, I decided I only wanted a few bouquets. Confucius Florist understood my request - fall/autumn colors. I didn't have any flower preference, whatever was in season. They quoted me a very reasonable price. I paid. On the day I requested the pickup, they had the items ready. It was beautifully done. The man on the phone was extremely helpful...he provided suggestions, asked me questions about what he would like, offered ideas. After about 5 minutes he had put together an idea and it turned out beautiful...and he delivered them an hour later. It doesn't get any better: service, quality, same day and the price was competitive. I don't know what happened to "m.m." in 2009, but they clearly weren't at this shop.
