For…read moreyears it didn't have a lot of great stores but once Zara, H&M Sephora and several other higher end designer stores moved in, it achieved a bit more of its charm back. Still, there are several boutique type stores you won't see anywhere else and the setup is odd (parking is on the lower levels so you take the elevators up or the escalators on the sides of the mall. There's no large food court anymore, only sporadic snack type shops inside but there are a few restaurants on the ground floor, and you have to pay for parking. Service depending on where you go can be hit or miss, it's dependent on the store itself.

Not a day nor a night has gone by in which there hasn't been prolonged, aggressive horn-hanging and shouting matches among Tesla drivers queuing up for one of the eight Tesla superchargers in this cramped lot--which is also a parking lot, so one must pay for parking to wait for a charger, as queuing is prohibited, per the posted signs. And parking enforcement regularly trawls this lot waiting to ticket. I've observed near-violence erupt among Tesla drivers, and between drivers and parking enforcement. I just witnessed what was the cusp of an all-out melee. I can't say it's not entertaining. But it feels like it's only a matter of time before someone gets seriously hurt or worse. It's also clear that the operators of this lot have total disregard for and indifference to the welfare of anyone but themselves. May they choke on their own vomit and die sad, disgusting deaths.

Crowds were exponentially greater! Lines for several stores (including Olive Young) to get in and for Ramen blew my mind. If you want a place to watch the world cup, courtyard is ready and inviting. This area was nice with the high rise century city backdrop. Although it was more crowded than I expected, meeting friends for lunch was great. The restaurant choices are wonderful. We planned to eat at one spot, but due to the wait we changed it up and it was a total hit. Parking was crazy! Lines to go up and down, it took forever to pull in a spot. The prices are expensive too if ya make a day here. Very few places validate.

The charging station is in a shopping center setting within a garage. The line for charging station was extremely long and extended out the charger area blocking incoming and outgoing traffic. I was already in desperado mode with charging as it was nearing less than 20% charge. I also thought of the what ifs. What if my car died while waiting in line? Like what if we all need to leave quickly because of emergency type of situation. There would have been no way in and out as everyone was piled up bumper to bumper already and it was hard for me to not get stuck there just to leave the queue. I really hope the chargers get repaired soon as this is one of the very few reasonably priced superchargers in the whole area. I sure hope to not encounter another charger anxiety like that in the future!!

As somewhat expected in a highly populated area in a big city, be vigilant and watch out for yourself, because despite cameras everywhere and the occasional security personnel, you tend to see some shady characters lurking around. Location 4 stars: In the Fairfax District area of Los Angeles, to the East of the original Farmer's Market. The Grove has a huge but very busy parking structure, so while you may have to journey to the upper levels, you will eventually find parking. Although some restaurants will validate part of the parking fees, be prepared to pay somewhere between $10 and $30 depending on how long you stay and which stores you visit. Their validation rules are fairly complex and not straightforward, so be sure to read all the fine print. They also have Valet parking on premises. Venue 4 stars: Nice modern open air set up with a Nordstrom, Zara and H&M and a bunch of smaller stores, an AMC movie theater, a Barnes and Noble, a Cheesecake Factory, and a variety of coffee shops and restaurants to fit most tastes and budgets. One catch being that the Grove parking lot cannot be validated by the Farmers Market stores and vice versa. Once you are on premises you can use the trolly to move from one end of the venue to the other. Also keep in mind that the Original Farmers Market is literally next door and attached to the Grove, which dramatically increases your food options.

The place was packed on a Sunday, since it's an outdoor area, it was really hot and staying in the stores helped cool us off, especially if they had AC on full blast. Going back to the parking lot was a challenge, since there isn't a parking attendant around, there isn't service you can get help right away. Parking price is expensive if you stay more than 2 hours, I suggest coming for the 2 hours and validate it at a store or if you end up staying longer and reaching full price (max daily), might as well spend the feast of the day there since they already have everything you need for lunch and dinner. FYI, driving out of the 4th floor took some time so if you're in a rush, so is everyone else and some cars go so fast you might not see them in time around sharp turns and yield signs!

Parking at this mall is crazy as it is but even more so here at Gelson's where the chargers are. There's not really an official line but most people know to wait on one side. Some people will try to be slick and park on the opposite side and say they were waiting. Lots of people trying to prove their importance over others lol. You can see how long someone has been charging by looking at the charging screen yet I have had multiple people on many different visits look at the screen, make eye contact with me and proceed to ask if I'm done charging yet. Like brother you can see I've only been here for 10 minutes of course I'm not done yet? They always try to persuade you with a story- "I really need to charge" "I have a long drive ahead of me" "there's 5 people in line behind me". Ok??? Everyone that is here is here to charge their car, wait your turn like everyone else and don't bother people. If someone was parked here for over an hour still charging then that is an appropriate situation to talk to the person and ask when they will be done but not when its clearly evident the person hasn't been here that long. The entitlement is so loud. I've seen two almost brawls break out here before because of entitled people thinking they should skip the line or make the rules.

The stations are often broken for weeks or months without being fixed. Station 3 has now been broken for as long as I remember and not yet fixed. I reported this station about two weeks ago, and still not fixed. I am certain others have reported it as well and still nothing done. The operator on the phone was very nice and made it seem that it would be fixed right away. Well now its been about two weeks and nothing has been done. If it were any other kind of business, it would be finished and bankrupt by now and driven out by competition. But we don't have a lot of choices when it comes to fast charging stations. It is the only reason I continue to use them. California is pushing to have every car sold in this state to be electric by 2035. I don't know how we are going to achieve this. With such lousy infrastructure for charging and lousy charging companies like Electrify America, we are going to be in big trouble making this transition. Tesla is way ahead of the game in their charging infrastructure. For the rest of us without Tesla cars, we are out of luck. I fail to understand how the folks in charge of this company can run such a lousy company with unacceptable service. Car companies pay Electrify America for free charging and pass that cost to us when we buy the car. What a bum deal we are all getting with such a lousy company. Those that can't afford a home charging station are really screwed.
