I have purchased not 1, but 2 brand new Moto Guzzi motorcycles from SSC over the years, and likely would have continued buying Guzzis from you throughout my life, until my last encounter with your sales rep Jim Smith and the BLATANTLY false advertising practices that he/you are employing now. As of right NOW (see included photo), you are advertising the sale of a 2024 V9 Bobber with "special" pricing of 4995. Great - fair price. EXCEPT that, that is not the price; it is actually 5700.00, but you refuse to disclose that number to the public on your website in an obviousx way. I could, as of RIGHT NOW, purchase that bike from you on your website with a credit card for the exact amount shown - but according to Jim your sales rep, when I went in to claim my purchase, he would then charge me $800.00 more before he would actually give me the bike. When I pointed out that it was deceptive and unfair that people would travel (potentially a fair distance) to your shop and then have this sprung on them, his response was that "people don't mind at all" and "this was just the way things are done now". Well, they weren't done that way when I bought my previous 2 bikes from, and there is absolutely NO GOOD REASON why they should be happening now. Jim (the owner?) seemed very self-satisfied when he denied me that sale. $800.00 huh? I live in Portsmouth, and when I used to ride my Guzzis around, they were unique, and people would ask me about them and where I got them, etc. I can assure you that the loss of revenue from this bad sales practice will amount to FARRR more than $800.00.

I took my 2017 RGS there for a Stage 2 upgrade and dyno tune. It took them two weeks to do the…read morework, but it being early spring, I didn't mind too much. The problem started when they called me to tell me my head pipe was cracked and needed to be repaired. I found that odd since they were the only ones that have ever touched the head pipe, but they claimed it wasn't them and it can happen just from riding. I was a little dubious of that claim, but wasn't going to push the issue over $75. The real problem I have is the dyno tune. Not only were the numbers substantially lower than comparable numbers I have seen on NUMEROUS other bikes with the same exact components, but the bike was very choppy when it ran. I sent the map to several other tuners to get their opinion on the matter and they all laughed at how poor a map it was. I then asked Brandon, the tuner from R&R for the run files and could see from the date/time stamps that it took him less than 28 minutes to "tune" my bike. Additionally, the base map he used was the modified stock tune that anyone could download off the Dynojet website. After seeing all of this and listening to several tuners saying they wouldn't trust whomever did that to fix his own mistakes, I called Reggie Jr the owner to voice my displeasure. Reggie stood by his employee and got somewhat aggressive about it over the phone saying that Brandon was the best tuner on the East Coast and ALLLL those other tuners didn't know what they were talking about. His "solution" was to challenge me to bring the bike back and have me watch Brandon tune it myself to ensure he did it up to my standards. When I explained to him that I no longer trusted them to do a adequate job on my bike and all I wanted was my money back, Reggie laughed and explained there was no way I was ever getting my money back. So lesson learned I suppose - I will never send any business his way.

Always however the staff has done everything they can to rectify any issues. Recent service went well without any hitches . Brian Wheeler made appointment and was also service writer. Corey who has worked on all 4 of the bikes has been exceptional. Work fully explained and performed timely. With some turmoil within industry and declining sales in some areas always a challenge for dealers. Hope Moms can continue to adjust and improve and keep all of us rolling along.

My Son bought an Indian Scout there, lost the one key they gave him…read more Called and spoke to Brandon, super helpful. Was told the key code would be on the bill of sale and it would be easy to make a key with the code, it was not. Pulled the ignition and brought it to Moms to see what they could do, saw some guy in parts who was basically NO help. Bought a key blank for $32!!! ( $10 on Amazon ) so I could get a locksmith to make a key. In addition they set him up with some credit card financing at 26% interest, how does that even happen? I would not recommend this place.

Took my bike there to wire bars . Over 2 wks went bye . 1100 dollar bill and a scratch on my custom…read moretank . Brought it there with a 1/4 tank of gas . Went to leave and the bike ran out of gas before leaving parking lot . Had to adjust the clutch when got home cause the bike was pulling at the light when clutch was pulled in . Lesson learned !!!! It road and looked great when I went to pick it up! His invoice breaking down the service costs was very thorough. As a rider who's still pretty new on the roads and has never brought a motorcycle for service before, I appreciate how nice and patient he was when I asked questions that were probably dumb and never seemed judgmental of things I didn't know. They were very informative, going above and beyond many of the other dealerships I visited. Most of the other places I visited wouldn't even work out a price with me after I said, "No, I'm not planning on buying today. I'm just looking for now." Naults gave me a price and arranged a time for me to test-drive my intended ride. There was a brief foul-up in regards to the paperwork that I needed for my plates (they're in NH, I'm in MA). But everyone involved got it fixed very quickly. They're easy to reach and otherwise ready, willing, and able. I don't know what their repair department's like, but I'd highly recommend them if you're looking to purchase a new bike.
