My experience with seacoast is limited to their alpinestar techair vest service which has been stellar. Dana was friendly, knowledgeable and kept me in the loop throughout the process with my first refill on my techair5 and the turnaround was incredibly quick. Why a lifelong Seacoast Sport Cycle customer will no longer purchase anything from you again (and will actively discourage others from doing business with you as well). I have purchased not 1, but 2 brand new Moto Guzzi motorcycles from SSC over the years, and likely would have continued buying Guzzis from you throughout my life, until my last encounter with your sales rep Jim Smith and the BLATANTLY false advertising practices that he/you are employing now. As of right NOW (see included photo), you are advertising the sale of a 2024 V9 Bobber with "special" pricing of 4995. Great - fair price. EXCEPT that, that is not the price; it is actually 5700.00, but you refuse to disclose that number to the public on your website in an obviousx way. I could, as of RIGHT NOW, purchase that bike from you on your website with a credit card for the exact amount shown - but according to Jim your sales rep, when I went in to claim my purchase, he would then charge me $800.00 more before he would actually give me the bike. When I pointed out that it was deceptive and unfair that people would travel (potentially a fair distance) to your shop and then have this sprung on them, his response was that "people don't mind at all" and "this was just the way things are done now". Well, they weren't done that way when I bought my previous 2 bikes from, and there is absolutely NO GOOD REASON why they should be happening now. Jim (the owner?) seemed very self-satisfied when he denied me that sale. $800.00 huh? I live in Portsmouth, and when I used to ride my Guzzis around, they were unique, and people would ask me about them and where I got them, etc. I can assure you that the loss of revenue from this bad sales practice will amount to FARRR more than $800.00. read more

I can't say that I've personally purchased a motorcycle from Seacoast, what I do have to offer is a bit of advice. If you are looking for an easy, reputable/respectable transaction, I recommend going elsewhere. Upon entering the showroom and immediately walking up to a 2025 Ducati Panigale v4 by Lamborghini, I was rudely informed that the bike was in fact sold after wanting to purchase the bike outright in cash. Upon inspecting the bike, it had no slip recognizing that the bike had indeed been sold. The sales representatives were downright rude and blatantly unprofessional, during a previous walk-in an employee was openly expressing her political beliefs to me after I jokingly expressed my dislike for the tariffs which caused a change in price for their riding gear. Which made me quite uncomfortable considering the professionalism that goes into maintaining such a well known brand of Italian motorcycles, it was blatantly unprofessional. Not only that, every sales representative was watching me like a hawk from the moment I arrived, to the second I walked out the door. I felt I was being singled out, as if they thought I didn't have the means to purchase such a motorcycle. Even being told at one point that I should look at cheaper brands elsewhere as if I was broke. I've since purchased a Ducati Streetfighter V4 Lamborghini and a brand new Ducati Panigale V4 Lamborghini from Riverside Motorsports in Boston! I recently bought a 2022 Ducati Hypermotard SP from Seacoast Sport Cycle and dealt exclusively with Jim Smith (business owner) throughout the experience. The purchase process was a complex one, given the lovely combination of Covid-era supply issues and $9K worth of upgrades to be installed before delivery. There were many "moving parts" to the transaction as the bike was still nearly a month out from Ducati and as we awaited various parts from different suppliers. I should begin by saying that I am an extremely meticulous person who tends to get a bit anxious and high-strung about the details. OK, fine, what I mean is that I can be a totally OCD nutcase who could drive many sales professionals batty. Having said that, I am extremely loyal, my money is green and I have purchased over 30, high-end European motorcycles (Ducati, Aprilia, KTM). If you take care of me, I'll go to war for you. Throughout the entire experience, Jim's demeanor and handling of my purchase (and my personality) was the epitome of patience and professionalism. His verbal and written communication over a 6-week period (as we awaited first the motorcycle and subsequently all of the parts/accessories to arrive) was always prompt and detailed. He never let his feathers become ruffled in the face of my occasional bouts of impatience and was always calm and respectful. In my 35 years of buying premium motorcycles and cars, I have never encountered a superior communication experience. The delivery experience was flawless and efficient. Jim personally guided me through the Hypermotard's functionalities with just the right amount of information to avoid overload. Lyn Morin (Finance Director) was also great (warm personality, buttoned-up in her presentation of documents and low-pressure in her offering of "back-end" menu options). Immediately after taking delivery of the motorcycle, I encountered a technical problem relating to the design of the Ducabike (aftermarket supplier) rearsets which was not in any way the fault of Seacoast Sport Cycle. Despite my, er, prickly initial reaction to the problem, Jim remained placid and imperturbable. He jumped on the problem with admirable sense-of-urgency, had some custom spacers fabricated by his local machine shop and air-express overnighted them to me, along with new swingarm pivot bolts. He didn't charge me a dime for any of this. Bravos & a standing ovation! I thank Jim Smith for his superlative client service approach and would unequivocally recommend Seacoast Sport Cycle to anyone hoping for a level of motorcycle purchase experience that all motorcycle dealerships should strive to emulate. read more

Originally, my wife said to me "Is that Indian Scout to big? It's 580+Lbs. as kitted out- you're just back & might want something more manageable?" Well, that lead me to Seacoast Sport Cycle, Jim (owner), Chad, Kyle & of course the absolute nicest F & I person I've ever met. Very relaxing, super enjoyable (they know you're a kid in a candy store!) product knowledge is super helpful- I solved multiple issues in one sit down with Kyle. No pressure, occasional check-in, freedom to shop, coffee shop across the parking lot. Owners have decided to sleep well at night and just not add "Dealer Packs" for added profit. Now honestly, there are fewer people out there buying rare & exotic Ducati's, Aprilia's, Moto Guzzi's, Piaggo (Vespa Scooters). The salesman was awesome- he understood my insanity of multi-color desire, along with loud gear! (Safety) If you are 'coming back' after a few years, I'd recommend calling SSC first. I don't think they would intentionally steer you wrong. When I got to the shop, I was slightly overwhelmed at the Ducati's I was looking at- Jim understood. You may not be looking at exotic bikes, but- I can't think of a better, more knowledgeable group. Consider it. read more

By far the single worst buying experience I've ever had. To say that Jim is unprofessional would be an understatement. I had a motorcycle to trade and sent all the documents a week ahead time. Was told that everything looked good. Went to pick up the new motorcycle, signed all the paperwork for new and trade and left with the new motorcycle. Two hours later I get a phone call saying that my trade is illegal and would have to go to registry to fix it. Fine, no problem. Not once did I get a sorry for the misunderstanding, no accountability for a mistake. I completely understand that crap happens but when I have to reach out to a dealer and ask them to handle things with a little kindness is pretty bad. One would think the first logical step in a transaction would be to actually check the trade in person before anything else is processed. Check the VIN etc. Nothing was checked. I got so frustrated that I had to call and find out why for such a simple misunderstanding he had to be such a &+.. Jim told me that going to social media or leaving a negative review of the dealership is consider a treat. Maybe thats why they only have 5 star reviews.. Maybe I go to jail now but I'm pretty sure it's still a mostly free country and I'm entitled to share my opinion. read more

can i give a negative star?! i made a service appointment 8 months ahead of time to ensure my aprilia scarabeo would be serviced at the scheduled time - for june 8 2023. i was in touch w/their service department ahead of schedule to ensure the date was still good. the morning of june 8 i call them to confirm i'm on my way to bring scooter to their shop. "hold up. we've got some bad news". "we don't work on them anymore". really?! the day of my appointment - no head up beforehand, no communication whatsoever? their excuse was lame and transparent; "we can't get parts." when i offered to bring parts over from italy (my daughter was in milan and coming back to boston in june), they declined the offer and proffered up another excuse - that it's too old - 2003. honestly, there is no accountability. no integrity. no offer to find someone else who can do the work. they just left me in the breeze. as a result of their piss poor behavior, i would neverrrrr trust them. peter d. read more

First off, I've been meaning to write a review for years and am finally getting to it. :) I've been a loyal customer of Seacoast for several years, started having my bikes serviced here after BCM Ducati closed, buy parts and accessories, and have bought two bikes from Jim (co-owner of Seacoast). Seacoast is a truly top notch dealership. Everyone is knowledgable, friendly, and honest...which, IMO, is hard to find in this industry. When I say 'everyone' I mean it - sales (Jim), service (Jason, Kyle, Shaun), parts (Adam), apparel (Pat), bike delivery/pickup (Jason), and the rest of the team are truly great people. You can ask them anything and get knowledgeable and honest answers...looking for advice on a bike or parts/accessories for touring? They can answer it. Into racing / track days and have questions? Yep, they can answer it. The facility is very nice...unlike some dealerships where it feels like it's in a barn or an old warehouse. I've been a customer of Seacoast Sport Cycle's for about 9 years now. The very first time I went there, I was shopping for a bike. I walked in the door about an hour prior to closing. They tossed me the keys to three different bikes. I was really surprised. There was no pressure to buy and I didn't leave until about 30 minutes after closing. I was very impressed. I ended up buying a used Ducati 1098, but always brought it here for service and I have always been treated very well. The technicians here are the best you can find; they do excellent work. Kyle's reputation for quality and accuracy is well known. Last year, I sold my 1098 and picked up a new SuperSport S from Seacoast. Jim, the owner, gave me a very competitive price, but I probably would have given him the sale regardless. A great shop with top of the line service, great quality merchandise, and a really caring and helpful crew is difficult to find. I want these guys to be here for the long run. If you're looking for a motorcycle shop with people who listen and really go the extra mile to please their customers, Seacoast Sport Cycle is where you want to go to. These people are CROOKS! Outside of the delivery man I had a horrible experience with them. I was quoted $330 and got a $600 bill with no form of communication at all of overages! They charged me $407.00 of labor time (4hrs) for a oil change and battery install! The battery is right next to the oil filter so did it take them an extra hour plus? They are very petty as well! This was a 2018 bike so I don't know how I missed a washer and screw they charged me over 5 dollars for! If you want to be raped with 3 hours of labor for a routine oil change go here. If you want them to do work and charge you double without your permission go here! Never again will I go to this dealership!!! I am not a biker chick....I am intimidated by "bikers", the thought of a motorcycle makes me hyperventilate. The rising gas costs are about ready to make my (young at) heart go into a cardiac arrest. That being said, I thought maybe a vespa was the way to go. Save the environment, save a little cash- you get the picture. Ok, but that means going into a shop where big burly scary men were going to make fun of me and laugh me right out of there designer purse between my legs, right? WRONG! There was not a scary man or woman for that matter to be found! The most helpful sales people were there. My guy is Jim - totally un-intimidating! Not only did he NOT mock me or try to sell me a "real" bike - he actually listened to me, suggested a model he thought may work well for me, let me sit on one and put up with some of my downright silliness! When all was said and done he located me exactly the right bike, gave me a ride on it and we closed the deal! I would be remiss if I did not also mention Sarah P. She was a terriffic help in assisting my husband find the perfect helmet & gloves. She addressed all of his questions and helped him find the perfect helmet that will work for him now but especially when he gets his "MAN's motorcycle". She has also been a wonderful help to me, as she has really helped me to feel at ease asking her riding and equipment questions. She helped me find a great helmet that fits both my pinhead and my personality! The employees at Seacoast Sport Cycle truly made this a fantastic experience. We picked up the Vespa tonight, and my husband is accepting his "wife's bike". Before we left tonight, we told Jim to give us a bit- but we would be calling him when it is time for the man to get his "MAN's Bike!" I can say unequivocally - I've never received better customer service anywhere, ever. I took a ride up to Seacoast because I saw they were an authorized Revit! dealer and I was looking for some quality gear. I ended up staying there for 6 hours. All day. Pat in accessories helped me fit and find a whole gettup of gear. She was pleasant, super helpful, and got me exactly what I needed - and made sure it all fit. Juggling other customers throughout the day she always came back. I must have tried on every glove they stocked. I went in looking for pants, and I came out with a full getup after learning my helmet and jacket were both 2 sizes too big. I highly recommend shopping here over the smaller dealerships in Massachusetts. I didn't buy a bike here but as far as the gear goes... very, very impressed. I worked a deal with Scott over the phone on a 2009 Hypermotard and he made the process totally painless. We set an appointment for this past week and I drove down from northern Vermont to pick up the bike. The dealership is awesome, I definitely feel more comfortable buying a used bike there then anywhere else, especially since they have the #1 Ducati mechanic in the country. There was a little hiccup with the odometer reading, but both Scott and Jim worked hard to make it right and I left there a very happy customer. Scott even noticed the bolts are my barends were mismatched and found the right hardware! This is an outstanding dealership and I would recommend anyone to go and do business with them. read more

I got a great price on the Ducati when I first bought it but every time I bring it into the shop for something basic it always ends up costing a few hundred dollars more than what it was suppose to. Even when they are clearly slow it takes forever to get any basic work done. When it comes to service you are better off at a different dealership. read more

Went back for my first service & after the ride home, noticed my bash guard was loose & some screws were missing. They sent me new screws right away, no charge. Purchase everything here EXCEPT the bike. I was looking for an 1199S, and searching for a reputable Ducati dealer on the East Coast. I researched Yelp and found Seacoast Sport Cycle. Jim Smith, the owner, told me he had 2 bikes, one was an "opportunity" bike and the other was left over and still brand new. I organized a time, with Jim, to come and look at the bikes, and the only one he had out was the "opportunity" bike. The bike was full of scratches and dings, and its cosmetic condition was not what I was looking for. I expressed my concern for the scratches with Jim, and he told me the new one was still in storage. I called Ducati North America, and they had no idea what an "opportunity" bike was. They did run the vin and told me that it was a demo bike with a few extra pieces placed on it. I called Jim and spoke with him about this and the new bike in storage. We spoke at length that I would expect the bike to have no scratches anywhere. Jim told me that the bike is exactly as I would find it coming out if the crate and in "brand new" condition. I told him that I was told the "opportunity" bike was considered to be in "excellent" condition, and it had scratches and dings all over it. Jim reiterated that this would be a brand new bike and if there is anything wrong with it, he will work with me to resolve it. Upon Jim's guarantee, I scheduled a time with him to stop by and look at the bike. I stopped by to look at the bike and it was filthy. It was sitting in the sun and covered in filth. Jim stood behind me as I looked over the bike. I kept wiping smudges off the bike, and Jim told me that everything would be thoroughly cleaned and detailed. I asked him if there was anything, regarding my concerns, I should know about, and he said no; so I purchased the bike. I had the bike delivered to another business which was to apply a protective laminate to the fairings. I met the delivery van at the laminate business, and upon the gentleman offloading my bike I immediately noticed all the fairings were scratched and the bike was far from detailed. I called Jim and he told me that he was aware of the condition of the fairings, but there is nothing he can do because I purchased the bike like that. I asked Jim, if he was aware of all the scratches in all the fairings, why he didn't bring that to my attention, because that was my main concern voiced to him, and the bike was filthy. Jim told me that it wasn't his place. After many conversations with Jim, he agreed to have the bike taken to his painter. Upon picking my bike up, the scratches were still very prominent. Jim thought the finish was better than what comes from Ducati. I told Jim that I was very disappointed. I've never owned a Ducati superbike in such terrible condition. Jim told me that I would have to take the bike home and constantly polish it to get the scratches out. I asked Jim why I should have to do that when the bike is still practically brand new. Jim told me if I wanted the scratches gone, that is what he would recommend. I still wasn't satisfied so I continued to reach out to Jim for resolution. He told me that if there was anything wrong with the cosmetic condition on the bike, he would work to resolve it. The only thing I was provided on a constant basis was a different reason for the scratches. At first I would have to polish them out on my own. The next was that I will just have to deal with it, because Ducati deemed it OK to pass through their Quality Control. The third reason was that the scratches were in the paint and below the clear coat. It's almost as if Jim would find a new answer to get me off the phone. I visited other dealers, and none of their inventory had any scratches on it; not even their pre-owned inventory. I also took my bike for servicing at another dealer, and that dealer had their detailer look at the blemishes. He did confirm that the scratches were surface scratches and most likely caused from running a dry rag over the clear coat. It took the detailer 15mins to get the scratches out and the bike looking as it should. I would never purchase another bike from this dealer. I wish I would have had the bike moved to a shaded area, after insisting on it being cleaned/detailed, and then inspect it with the reflection of the interior overhead lights reflecting off of it. Everyone else at the shop was great. It's unfortunate this was my experience when purchasing the "Ferrari of Motorcycles." read more

From the moment i droped my bike off for service Justin in the sevice deparment was trying to sell me parts and services i didnt need. they told me they were going to keep me in the loop with the progress of the bike. i had to call every time and when I got ahold of Justin he conveniently had more parts to sell me. when it cost me $112to change 2 spark plugs you damn right your going to get a bad review. I nore any of my friend will be getting sevice done here again. If you like getting raped than seacoast sport cycle is the place for you. read more

Enjoyed my purchase experience with Scott, up until the transaction closed (i.e. - I gave Seacoast my money; they gave me the title docs), which was when he went over the operation of the bike (a new 2016 Ducati Hyperstrada 939) with me. It was only then that what amounted to a manufacturer's design defect was disclosed (where the fuel can leak from the tank into the evaporative emissions canister when the bike is tipped at a left angle). He advised not to use the side stand if possible, and to fill the gas tank no higher than 2 inches below the cap flange. It turned out this practice caused the low fuel light to go on (and the odometer and trip meter to be disabled) at about 100 miles or so, defeating the purpose of a sport "touring" (i.e. - longer distance capacity) bike. The defect otherwise creates a risk of permanent damage to the evaporative emissions canister . . . and fire. Neither Seacoast nor Ducati will now officially admit to the defect nor purchase my bike back from me as I have requested. read more

I have been to this shop twice now. First time I had no time to shop but liked what I saw and was greeted by a nice woman. Second visit I made the 50 mile ride up and had time to shop for a warmer jacket. I checked out their closeout tent outside and tried on a jacket. Came inside to browse some, tried on another jacket. 15-20 minutes pass. Only the shop dog could be bothered to get up and greet the only customer in the store. After disturbing some of the generous amount cobwebs that are all over the clothing racks it came to me that they do not need to sell these garments. Grabbed my gear and headed out the store. Still no one attempted to do anything but eat food, look at computer screen and one person was on the phone. Guess I came on the wrong day, rode the wrong brand/style of bike or something, the 3 other reviews are positive. Would have taken very little effort to turn my experience around but I don't think anyone could be bothered. It is too bad because I would have purchased one of the 2 Dainese jackets they had there. read more
