Just visited EVO for the second time. We saw Gladiator 2, great movie. We opted to see the IMAX Plus Laser quality movie and it was absolutely beautiful. Definitely a step above regular theaters. And the seats themselves were super comfortable. If it were just for the movie quality and the seats alone I'd definitely give EVO another 5 star review. However the food service was dreadful. Our movie started at 7:00 and right on the dot we ordered our food, one of the perks of sitting in the dine-in pod seats. Times ticking away, the movies playing, nothing arrives. Literally waited an hour and 15 minutes until I felt the urge to go check and see what was up, missing some of the movie in the process. I get to the lobby where the door to the kitchen is, our order is sitting there on a tray and there's a waiter with his back to me, eating something right over our food. I was absolutely disgusted and wound up not eating it. Also you got to be kidding me with these bathrooms, they are absolutely revolting. Every toilet seat is covered in piss, the floors are filthy, the sinks are dirty, some of the sink fixtures are rusty, most of the soap dispensers have no soap, even the hand dryer was dirty and moldy. It was an absolute abomination. All in all I'll give EVO 3 stars this time around. If they cant improve the bathrooms and the food service, I don't really care how good the IMAX looks, I'm definitely not going to be coming back. read more

Very poorly ran place from top to bottom. Just spent 300$ for a few hours there. The chicken fingers at bowling lane took 70 minutes when we only had 60 minutes to play, for about 100$ ( the bowling no food). Bowling lane malfunctioned took 10 minutes to fix but they comped me 10 minutes which was nice. Then went to a movie. 88 minute movie and the food came in 70 minutes (80$ pizza hot dog and pop corn). No way to reach them to ask for to-go box, condiments, or anything. This place will not survive soon I guarantee. They need to go to Ipic and see how to run a business for these costs correctly. Will not be back after going to this theater for nearly 3 years. Bad bad bad all around! read more

I had to upload an app to purchase movie tickets. I came with 3 other women to the Delray Marketplace for a movie. This is a huge theatre with a dozen screens. Our reserved seats reclined & were very comfortable. The huge screen & sound were fabulous. The air conditioning could've been a little cooler. Happily they were lots of clean, well stocked ladies rooms. read more

Nice spot, but poorly maintained and run. The young lady at the desk, avoided any opportunity to tell us what they had, how they worked or any options. So we Paid $100 for an hour of bowling, but was given a lan with dripping across vents, dirty counters, seats and floors. We got it cleaned up, good bar service and the apps we ordered were good. We had to reset the pins, get the balls back - kept getting stuck behind pins, balls would get stuck exited their return. And all the times they came, they never once pulled any empty bottles, trash or Asked if they could do anything. We got them to add time at least, but it was a mess. And there was plenty of people working, just doing. The bare minimum, Never cleaning! It's a shame, because it could be a really decent place! read more

Movie experience was fine enough. Saw sinners and really enjoyed it but thought the screen was a bit blurry (theater 3). On the negative side: the seats were starting to wither away, bugs run amok in the theaters and are often times distracting to the viewing experience, popcorn and drink are overpriced (15$ for a small popcorn and drink) and lastly a lack of good decent working employees along with a sufficient amount of behaved ones at that. With many not doing jobs as told such as taking concession orders and keeping watch for tickets as most of the ones that are already on duty have no manners and are constantly on phone not doing job. Please improve this theater or else I will not be returning... customers come first after all. read more

Paragon Theater offers a great experience with entertainment options for both kids and adults. The recliner chairs were so comfortable, we almost fell asleep! The manager was very helpful in switching our tickets to a more convenient time, which we really appreciated. The theater was clean, which is always a plus. We watched the new "Bad Boys" movie, and it was an entertaining watch. Next time, we'll definitely try out the popcorn and nachos. We always enjoy our time at Paragon Theater. read more

Definitely upgraded this theatre. It is now a Evo theatre. We chose the lux box which has its own stairs to access it and I it's private. Has a great view. The chairs recline and have warmers for your lower back. I wish they gave us blankets honestly. The chairs were really comfy and they have privacy walls per two chairs. So that was nice But I did like we could order food, drinks and popcorn from our chair and they bring you the food. The food wasn't bad. I ordered the mikes grilled chicken salad. That was actually delicious. The popcorn was a bit too salty. The only thing wish they had a button to call the waiter/waitress back to our seats if we needed anything. Will be going back. read more

I wound up driving to the theater to buy tickets in advance so we were assured to get tickets Not staffed up enough on a Sunday afternoon. Went to Eco Theater recently and honestly, it could use a little TLC. The movie played fine and the ticket prices were decent, but the place feels like it's stuck in the early 2000s. Seats weren't the most comfortable and the lobby area seemed a bit worn down. Staff was friendly though, which I appreciated. If they gave the place a little makeover and improved the overall vibe, I'd definitely come back more often, it has potential! read more

Looks like a common theme here, local to this theater and have always bragged about it. I probably won't be back. Always buy the dine in seats, lately have to buy an extra cause they only sell in pairs. These guys don't give a f- about service, I just waited 1 1/2 hours for food after 2 trips to the lobby and 20 minutes missed from the movie, to get a sad story from the manager. we used to love coming to this movie theater and would drive from east lake worth to do so. last night we wanted to see wicked so we figured we would go around dinner time and purchase "lux box" seats so that we could order food to the theater for dinner. wicked wasn't showing in any theaters with a lux box so we scrapped that idea and just did standard seating. the theater definitely isn't what it used to be. we noticed that there isn't anyone checking tickets upon arrival and the concessions staff seemed very limited as well. the restrooms were below par also- only 1 sink in the women's room had running water and most of the stalls didn't have working locks. that's a big liability issue. also very off putting that most of the sinks don't have running water and this is obviously the same bathroom that staff needs to use before they go back to serving your popcorn and sodas. the seats in the theater itself were recliners but they were ripped in some places and felt sticky, like they hadn't been cleaned in days. the cupholders were gross and all had something in the bottom of them. the recliners also made squeezing sounds when you put them back which was so obnoxious throughout the movie. the food has been good in the past, we like the quesadilla and the cheeseburger but we didn't get anything other than popcorn and soda this time around so not sure if that is still the case. we got a popcorn and soda combo- 1 large popcorn and 1 large soda - $17!! seems steep even for a movie theater? they did say we could get free refills on popcorn and soda which makes up for it i guess but realistically there was no way we were refilling the popcorn- the first bucket we got tasted borderline stale and we didn't even finish that. as for the soda, we weren't planning to leave the theater in the middle of the movie for a refill. we got a soda refill on the way out and the staff member didn't even dump out the melted ice that was in the cup or give us new ice, he just filled the cup 2/3 of the way and handed it right back. we threw it in the garbage on the way out. honestly, we probably won't be coming back here for a while when it's doing nothing to stand out like it used to. there's cleaner and nicer theaters closer to us, this just isn't worth what they're charging anymore. read more

I maintain a positive opinion of this theater, despite noticing a HUGE decline in service since the change in ownership. On three separate visits, I have encountered issues with the staff handling transactions, including difficulties with the rewards app ( they have no idea how it works.... NONE ...) and separate payment systems for food and tickets. Furthermore, the sound system has malfunctioned during previews ( no sound at all untitled movie starts... just SILENT ads and previews) . I was also disappointed to find that a popular food item ( hot dogs !!!!! ) was unavailable during a weekday afternoon, I was told NONE are made, and they can make it for me. It'll take eight minutes???? . Nevertheless, the theater's location and overall seating continue to make it a viable option for me. read more

Image quality and seats are fine, service top to bottom is atrocious, there's nobody in charge, and whoever is left working doesn't care. Our food was significantly delayed, no apology, and I had three hungry young kids with me at the time for a matinee. It finally arrives an hour late, cold, again zero regard or apology, directed to speak to a manager that didn't exist, concession lines out the door, no one to speak to, no accountability. Just a truly poorly run location. The only way I'd ever come back here is if I had no expectation of eating food, using the bathrooms, or doing anything that didn't involve sitting down and watching the movie. read more

First the concession stand young girl sold me wine that they didn't have - then tried to give me 1/3 serving because that's all they had left. For the price of a full serving! She didn't know how to do a refund, so I almost missed the start of my movie. Then we went in to the movie. The sound was literally ear-splitting. They said there was no way to adjust the sound on an imax 3d movie...wth? So we and others left. No refund because we'd purchased through Fandango. After my experience with this movie theatre, I never want to go to any theatre again. My group went to the Minecraft movie on April 4th. The theatre was completely dirty, seats were covered in popcorn as if it weren't cleaned at all. During the movie, people were throwing ice and entire popcorn buckets. One of the people in my group got up to talk to employees and see if they could get the teenagers that were throwing stuff to stop, and the employee only gave the people throwing things a warning. They proceeded to throw things throughout the entire movie- targeting us now- and another one of our group members came home bruised due to the ice. My group member went to ask the employees again to do something, and the employee kicked the rowdy teens out during the credits. The teens yelled the entire time they left the theatre, and waited outside the building for my group. Then they proceeded to follow us, yell slurs, and attempted to provoke us into a fight as my group walked to our car. We ignored them the entire time and were fortunately able to avoid getting attacked, but were terrified of the possibility the entire time. Employees and management completely failed my group as they watched us leave the building and get harassed. They didn't call security or the police. It is completely unsafe to come to this theatre. I went in today with one of my friends from the night we were harassed, as the manager (M. Roux) agreed to give us a refund after multiple points of contact. She then said "You're really fucking me here," and told us about how the theatre was in the process of being sold and that the night we were there was completely abnormal. Regardless of these excuses, as the manager you are responsible for your employees and their responses to "abnormal" nights like this. I'm certain that unless there is a change with the attitude of the management, incidents like this are not new and that they will happen again. read more

I brought my 14-year-old daughter to a showing of snow White At this theater. If you value your safety, Do not go to the EVO Entertainment movie theater in west Delray Beach FL. About 2/3 of the way through the movie, two older teens came into the theater and began harassing us. They were Calling me obscene names and then running away. I chased them out and then I went to get the manager. That very moment I was speaking with the manager, the same kids had the brazen gall to walk through the front door of the movie theater again. the manager was extremely meek. He approached them reluctantly and almost apologetically asked them to "please buy something," since they hadn't paid an entry fee . He said nothing to him about the harassment. I went up to them and told them off and pointed out that I'm with my young daughter. The kids were completely brazen and fearless and even repeated the obscenity again. According to the manager , this happens frequently at the theater. I demanded a refund. I got a three-quarters refund. When I asked why There isn't a single security guard the manager said "they won't pay for it." When I asked why he wouldn't call the police, he said "the police take too long." So basically, in this extremely wealthy area of Delray Beach, you can go to this theater and you're at risk of being harassed by random Aggressive teens, who are running wild unchecked, and fearless And immune to any consequences. And the management will do absolutely nothing to protect the customers, And will barely do anything to get the perpetrators to leave. I've never Had an experience like this at any theater in my life. I'm mid movie... there are bugs flying around the theater. I've never experienced something like this. I thought the popcorn lining the outside of the concession stand and the hallways was one thing. Bugs flying all around the theater is another. I didn't even order food. They need to hire someone just to vacuum. The bathroom deserves its own review. The deeper you went, the worse the stalls became. This is advertised as some amazing one stop fun (they have arcades and bowling), in a great plaza. What a let down. Save your money and find another theater. The only positive is that they are the only theater with reclining seats in the area. read more

EVO recently bought out Paragon. The movie theater has since gone downhill and we won't be back. Saw a movie yesterday. Concession stand was backed up with a huge wait since employees were chatting with friends, not helping customer. No one was there to check if we had tickets. Anyone could walk in without paying. Both men and women's bathrooms are closed off and "not working." When you need to run to the bathroom in the middle of the movie you need to go out and next door to the bowling alley to use the restroom. read more

Under attack by bugs - almost impossible to watch a movie being dive bombed every time you watch a movie!!!

When it was Franks and even Paragon, it was great. Now it's EVO (never heard of this theater before) Worst movie experience ever. We saw a movie in one of the small theaters and they didn't even air condition it..in mid- June. Air was so hot and stuffy. I asked twice for them to turn the AC on in there and it didn't start to cool down until the last 20 minutes of the movie. The hot dog is about 4 inches long. The popcorn is cold, seemed stale and is way over salted, the soda had no syrup in it. $30 for tix and another $50 for concessions, and the whole experience was just awful. It seems like they are pinching pennies in every direction. I'll never go back to this theater. There are too many other choices that I'm sure do better. read more
