As you enter, there are two machines on the right side where you can enter your confirmation numbers. The machine then prints out your tickets. We only saw one staff member. She was working the snack bar. I assume you can also buy tickets on site from her as well. We were seeing a matinee and there were only a few other folks in the theater. The screen is large and the sound system is more than loud enough for anyone. The only negative was that it was freezing cold. Next time, I'll know to bring a sweater.

I enjoyed "Ethan Bloom" the independent film presented at the Movies of Delray. For $8 I had a fabulous evening here. This sweet coming of age film had an All-Star cast that was both funny and profound. The film touched on themes of grief, spiritual identity, first love & belief that faith and love can transcend religious differences. I enjoyed the background information presented by the director & producer Herschel Faber. Afterwards he answered many questions from the audience. I used to enjoy film clubs & events in my NYC independent theater; the Movies of Delray are truly a gem here!

The campus is small enough so that you can easily identify the building itself from signage as well as its proximity to 6th Ave South. The theater has a lower and upper level of seating, but I've only sat in the lower level. The theater is very intimate, allowing an up close and personal view of performers; I love this! The theatre has a family series each year but it is poorly promoted. I recently attended a show of a national recording artist. Despite being on this artist's mailing list, I didn't know about the show until a few days ahead of time due to a ticket giveaway. The attendees could barely fill the first few rows. At the show, the Theater rep mentioned the next show in the family series in an extremely brief and uninformative 'announcement.' They didn't even ask us to sign up for the Theatre's mailing list. What a wasted opportunity! Also, apparently even a babe in arms of ANY age must pay for an adult ticket. Yet this info is not listed on the Theater's website; a box office rep on the phone told me she didn't think the baby would be charged, which was incorrect.

The evening featured several short plays, each about 15 minutes long, with a 20-minute intermission in between. After the performances, the playwrights came on stage for a Q&A session, which gave the audience a chance to hear about their creative process and ask questions. It was a wonderful addition to the evening. I'm usually away this time of year, so this was my first opportunity to attend, and I'm so glad I did. The tickets were also very reasonably priced, making it an excellent value for a night of live theater. I hope to make this an annual tradition and will definitely be back next year!

There is not a bad seat in the house. The Playhouse is located in a residential neighborhood on Lake Ida. Prior to the Show we sat outside and enjoyed the cool breeze overlooking the lake and the speedboats riding by. It was a delightful experience all around. During the year they offer subscriptions for each season, including shows, plays, musicals, for all ages. This particular show was a sellout. The group had been there before and they were asked to return because the reviews were so excellent. I agree and so did everyone in my party. The chairs are comfortable and it is handicapped accessible for people with wheelchairs, scooters or walkers. It's a very relaxed atmosphere with free parking.

It's only about a 12 minute walk really from any of the lots. We packed up. 4 chairs that we could put on our backs like backpacks and walk to Sunset. You get a wristband to enter and that was easy along with the scan of the tickets. There are 3 stages and the area is easy to walk thru. We were glad we had our chairs as no one wants to sit on the ground. I wish there were some healthy options at SunFest to munch on so I waited until I got home to eat. The weather was beautiful and I was thinking how I wish there were fireworks again! Have to think if I'd return - very on the fence about it.
