Omg. Not handicapped accessible - no elevator. Must walk up a nice set of steps or 4 long ramps to very comfortable theatre seats or be faced with lots more steps to more seats. I requested easier place to sit as soon as I saw this and they were able to accommodate. Otherwise, I probably would have left. There were many other handicapped people there who were also upset with this situation. Sound is off the charts LOUD!!! The movie itself - The Odyssey - was incredible but because the music was so loud in the background, it was difficult to understand the dialog. My Apple Smart Watch kept alerting me with "Too Loud" notifications throughout the 3 hour movie. We will not be coming to this movie theatre again even though the special effects were awesome. read more

The friendly greeter told us about their rare scratch-off promotion, and we luckily won a free one-hour bowling session! We had a blast for our first time here. The staff was nice, and the place has so much more than bowling -- a movie theater, arcade, and fun little games in the lobby that we played. We loved it and will definitely be coming back. Has gone down hill. Place is dirty, bathrooms dirty. Everything is bad. Each time it changes owners it gets worse. Blown speakers in screen 5. Seats are all torn up. Food in the cup holders. Screen has lines in it, like failed LEDs in the TV. Easily seen when the screen goes dark. Do not come here. read more

Came to Hooky with a couple friends and checked on the upcoming movies but was really impressed by the arcade games and claw games. Across from the bar I started playing a big checker game with my friend but it was damaged. The bowling alley looked appealing but too many kids. Will come back to watch the new Devil Wears Prada movie. read more

Been here a few times to see movies since my last review. I am very happy with the current management regarding the movies... haven't been to the attached bowling center. It seems as they run the place on limited staff, but seems to work out as it's not typically very busy. Online booking works well. The seats are comfortable. The screens are large and the sound is good. Their IMAX theater is great. I've been to larger IMAX theaters with bigger screens but this is still very good, and its only 10 minutes away! This Rolling Stones Movie (shot mostly in 1990 during their Urban Jungle Tour in Europe with special cameras for IMAX. The Wembly Stadium show is featured. Amazing sound, great visuals. Loved it. Took some nice shots of the boys during the show. read more

We stopped here before dinner nearby. This was a new to us version of this space -- like a playground for grownups. There weren't that many people here -- early on a Sunday evening. Two couples having drinks and a few couples asking about bowling. We were able to walk around undisturbed. There's a lot going on in this one location -- movies and imax with a concession stand; a full bar; regular bowling alleys and four skeeball games. Then there's the arcade with lots of machines to entice. Along with the opportunity to win prizes. Some folks would really enjoy an evening here. Although some of the games -- like the bowling -- are rather expensive. Glad we stopped in to check it out. read more

Literally just wrote a 3 star review (which was an improvement from my previous 1 star review), and wouldn't you know it, they canceled our movie, Greenland 2, at the last minute without explanation. I just opened my phone to pull up the order as I walked in and noticed it has been canceled. No email, no text. No heads up of any kind. This is the third time that something like this happened to us at Hooky. And a note to Hooky management: if we have tickets for a 7pm showing, we don't just magically appear at the theater at 7pm. We're getting ready, we're driving over, we're finding parking, we're walking to the theater. It takes a lot of planning and effort to get there. To just cancel it without explanation is completely unprofessional and unacceptable. So once we processed the cancelation in our heads, I started wondering what happened and if the next showing would be affected. I asked the attendant at the entrance about it, but she said didn't know. I then asked another employee who was standing near the video games, but he also didn't know. Finally, I went to the customer service desk and asked the guy there what was happening, he told me he worked in the bowling alley and he didn't have any idea. I mean come on Hooky, who is running this absolute circus? One star. This is probably my last time going here. It seems like 50% of the time, something is going haywire here, the projector, the sound, the air conditioner, the food, the service. And that's not even considering the plague coated bathrooms. Where to even begin... This was our first time coming to this plaza and was excited to catch a movie here thinking it would be great as the plaza is pretty well acquainted and new. Boy were we wrong! Upon entering- hot- like no AC on whatsoever. We had some time to kill so we thought hey why not try out the arcade- only to find out after buying the playing card that only 20% of the machines actually worked. Not only that, but it was super small and everything was dirty, even got gum stuck to the bottom of my shoe which was fairly annoying. Went to use the restrooms before the movie- 2 of the fours stalls were out of service, filthy filthy filthy- no soap and ONLY hot water was working from the faucets. Also there were random items of clothing left in the stalls- just gross. Surely the theatre has to be in better shape.... Surely not the case. Went to the concession stand, the teenagers were obviously annoyed at our presence as we broke up this flirting charades- the countertop was littered with garbage- sticky and gross- there was no way we were getting anything beyond a bottle of water. No one was present to check our tickets, we literally could have walked in from the streets and walked into theatre- all the theatre doors were open. Eventually found our theatre and the chairs were falling apart. Sound was on but there was nothing on the screen. My BF had to go and ask someone if the movie was going to actually play. Listen- save your money and peace of mind- don't even step foot in this place. If I could, I would give it a negative 5 stars. read more

On a school off day, February 18, 2026, I took my grandsons to Hooky Entertainment on Lyons Rd in Delray Beach to see GOAT. Unfortunately, I was thoroughly unimpressed and will not return. Firstly, the women's bathroom lacked paper towels, and upon using the hand dryer, I was dismayed to find it was clogged with mold and dirt. Secondly, theater number seven, where we attended the 12:35 showing, was in disarray. The theater had not been cleaned from the previous showing, with popcorn littering the floor, seats covered in popcorn and candy wrappers, and cups left on the seats. Thirdly, upon sitting down, I sank almost to the floor due to the worn-out seat, which was essentially a box spring. My khaki pants were covered in dry seat peelings, as all the seats appeared to be old, cracked, and peeling. As someone who weighs 136 pounds, I was shocked by the poor condition of the seating. Furthermore, I was disappointed to find that soda drinks were not available for purchase, and the bucket of popcorn, which cost almost thirteen dollars, was subpar and not freshly popped. Even if I were offered free tickets, I would decline. The overall experience was disappointing. read more

I went to the movies at Delray Marketplace tonight, and WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT! We haven't been to the movies since before Covid. 6 years... While the movie theater itself, seats, screen, audio were fine, the restaurant has gone downhill. Table was not cleaned off when we arrived, and the server had to be asked to clean it. The menu seems greatly diminished. WORST of all the two bathrooms (restaurant and Family bathroom) both had no paper towels. The toilet paper dispensers made it nearly impossible to use. I carefully pryed the cover off the family dispenser to get to the paper. EVEN WORSE, although I tried to dry the floor with an abundance of T.P., when I was ready to leave, my shorts and one arm of my suspenders were WET! After the movie was over, I went to the general manager and advised him of the deplorable conditions. The food offerings were beyond his control, but the unsanitary conditions were certainly a matter of using his staff to maintain cleanliness. INEXCUSABLE. I will never go back. Hopefully, the Boca Raton Muvico Palace 20 is not under similar management. CAVEAT EMPTOR. read more

went back for the first time in a while last tuesday my issue is the theater that i was in one of the speakers was blown and continued popping the entire time and also the ongoing problem that i have every time is the small flies that fly into the light of the projectors all through out the movie. After all these months i would have thought that issue would have been taken care of. see photo for one of the flies, the reason this is a 2 and not a 1 is because the guy at the register has been there for a while and rings things up fast. read more

To I went to the movies to Masters of the Universe which was excellent; however leaving the theater to use the bathroom was another seen which was horrible. I spoke to the manager how disgusting the bathrooms were and its not her fault that the owner of the theater needs to get cleaning people and plumbers to fixed the bathroom stalls. The manager understood my concerns but the owner needs to make a effort to run the whole establishment better. If the bathrooms are dirty and not properly working then god knows there snacks and foods might be rancid. Was suppose to see Ballerina (the new installment in the John Wick series) at 7pm via an early access screening. Got there and sat for 15 mins before they announced the theater will not be able to screen the film.... Seriously?? The day of release no less with a showing that's exclusive to that 7pm time slot. That's honestly not acceptable and to top it all off the lobby was covered with popcorn and straw wrappers. We went to see Wicked 2, we got our tickets online, easy! We went on Thanksgiving evening, the staff was great, concession was easy to get through and friendly staff. The place was clean, very clean. We bought the preferred seating or whatever it was called (seats D9, D10), fantastic and comfortable. The place was freezing! Luckily we did bring lite jackets, that was not enough! It was uncomfortably cold and for over 2 hours. We kept having to sit on our hands. Come guys, you were batting 1000%, but damn! We should have known something when we saw a few people carrying blankets into the place. Like I said everything was great but it was just too damn cold. This movie theater is horrid. My husband and I, have been here once before and had no complaints, but this was before it changed management. We first went to the bathrooms which were not well kept. If i could give this place a 0 I would tbh. I'm not someone who goes out of there way to bash a situation. But this is a pet peeve that some businesses need to learn from. Came to view a late night movie, arrived a few minutes late.However, with past experiences in theatres like Regal, it's not a worry or a challenge to enter the theatre. The theatre was completely locked and was very misleading as the website and google hours said it was open. Tonight was supposed to be a birthday movie night. come on hooky's I know you guys can be better every movie I see here I noticed moths flying towards the light that the projector gives off. besides that DO NOT see a movie in the SDX because the multiple movies that I saw don't fit the entire screen. This past Tuesday wanted to see the early showing of weapons so early morning I checked and it said 1030 showing. Then around 1015 before I left my house I checked and the showing was gone so I called and the person who answered said the showing was removed. If I wouldn't have rechecked I would have drove all the way there to find out it was cancelled. It has been disappointment after disappointment lately. Not to mention sometimes the A/C is either really cold or so hot that you sweat. Needless to say fix your SH*T or you will continue to lose customers including myself. read more

This place sucks. Air Conditioning is broken. Kitchen is down so the only food available is pizza. Staff is unfriendly and unhelpful! Ball return kept getting stuck. Lane bumpers for kids are all or nothing meaning the adults have to use them if one kid needs them. $86 for 4 people in this miserable hell home is crazy!
