I came to Evolve for the first time today and took advanced pole and bodacious booty. I worked with Mina, who taught me more awesome stuff in one class than I learned at other studios in 3 months. I can't wait to take more classes with her. Veronica was the booty coach, it was a little crowded and they had room to put in 1 more mirror which would have been nice but I still loved it. It seemed like an intermediate class to me, I was fine because I've taken twerk classes elsewhere before but if you're new it might take you a few classes to catch on, but she did do her best to step aside and help those that were struggling and explain the technique more thoroughly. The inside is really nice and it has some pretty views of mountains, but I went on a Saturday morning and was still a little nervous walking down the street, it was definitely not in the greatest neighborhood so unfortunately I won't be coming at night but I'm so glad I found this place and can't wait to come back! read more

So I am lucky enough get back to LA which means I have another opportunity to work and train with some of the best polers in the nation. Having had such a good experience with Mina I wrote to find out where she was teaching. How nice to find another hidden gem on W. Pico. And I'm not kidding when I say hidden! The studio entrance was clearly marked, but a blue accordian steel gate locked me out! I went next door and called to make sure I was in the right place and got an answering service. I was a little nervous, but the shopkeeper assured me that they would be down. As the time approached for my 6pm class, I saw a woman with curly hair sweeping the sidewalk outside the studio and the blue gate was open. Not insignificant! As you walk up the stairs your sense get assaulted with a clean flowery scent. Talk about setting the mood! My panic about being locked out started to fade into a sensual oasis of warm, rich wood with soft lighting, warmly painted textured walls in earthly hues. And CLEAN! The studio has been there three years and it looks as though it was just built and decorated. SOOO inviting! I had called ahead to see if I needed to shower off my moisturizer before class (ie, was I going to actually get on a pole) and if I could get into the pole class with my 3-class purchase. I was disappointed to discover that dance and pole are two separate categories and I would have to purchase a separate pole class in addition to the three dance fitness classes. This has happened to me with several studios who offer different categories of related classes. But, no matter. The introductory offer at Evolve, $30 for three dance fitness classes, is still very good, and it does the job. Once you come in, experience the vibe at Evolve, you get hooked. The good vibe continues when you check in at the front desk with the lovely Lonnie. What a friendly, helpful, lovely young woman! She knew who I was (having heard my panicked message about the locked gate, no doubt) and asked, "are you Paulina?". How about that? You feel instantly at home when people know you by name, don't you? She checked me in, answered my questions, and let me freely check out the goods while we chatted. The goods are SO GOOD! Right across from the front desk, lovingly displayed were a great selection of "Pleaser" pole dance shoes in a variety of styles and very reasonably priced. Lonnie pulled my size and showed me where I could try them on. She helped me pick the right size explaining what to look for and how to treat the shoes. And, then, when I went to pay for them, what did I find? Lovely, fun, sexy leg warmers....so many that it was all I could do to limit myself to one pair. But let's face it, all the decor in the world won't make up for a lousy class, so, let's get to the meat of the matter. I signed up for two classes; Polefit and flexibility and Sensual Movement both with Peppa, filling in for the Fantastic and inspiring Annemarie Davies. So, if you're a poler, you know who AD is and would be disappointed to find out that, instead of a class with a star and leader in the community, you get a stand in, but I was still pleased with the association. I mean, some of the top polers work here! There's Annemarie, Mina, Anjel, among others. I got the impression that Peppa was new. she was quiet, seemed to be referring to her smart phone to determine the next part of the routine, and couldn't finish the exercises we were expected to do. But, as a new instructor myself, I had patience. The exercises were good. I was sweating almost right away and loving the little burn (and I'm in shape!). When I got thirsty, I got another pleasant surprise.....cucumber and lemon flavored ice water in a lovely pitcher for hydration! AWESOME! The floor exercises were followed by intense stretching which was a perfect way to get ready for the next class...Sensual movements. Clearly Sensual movements is Peppa's specialty! She looked so good doing it and good-naturedly ran back and forth between two "studios" to lead two groups of girls. What a FUN CLASS! This is what I'd been looking for! We warmed up in heels, then learned a routine that took us from a walk to the wall to the floor with flow, fluidity, sensuality, and sexiness. I couldn't stop staring myself in the mirror and I wasn't the only one! This kind of class promotes comraderie between women and very quickly I was sharing tips and joking with my classmates. I could see the same happening in the other class. And, when you see women in all shapes and sizes learning to feel sexy, you understand why this kind of class has become so popular! For the gymnasts and hardcore polers, the studio also offers several aerial arts options. I am looking into how many other classes I can squeeze in at Evolve before I leave and highly recommend this studio if you're in LA and looking for a pleasant and sensual fitness experience! read more

1.5 stars. They get a .5 because the employees seem somewhat nice. I previously took one pole dancing lesson at another studio, but decided to try this place because of the good reviews and they were offering a fantastic deal on classes. I called and asked if my one class was enough to make the beginner/intermediate class do-able for me. The gal said I would be fine. I was shocked and disappointed at how disorganized the class was. After the warm up, the instructor asked us what we wanted to learn. I told her, it would be great if she could show us some things since I had only taken one class. My experience was very similar to Doris C.'s. The instructor went from person to person and taught us a couple moves, then disappeared to teach people on the other side of the studio. For the majority of the time I was left alone floundering. The moves we were taught were too advanced. I really needed more review of some of the basics, but the instructor skipped over that. I should note that the other gals in my class (with the exception of one gal who should have been in an advanced class) had only taken 1-2 lessons previously. I bought a package of lessons, but I don't even think I'm going to bother coming back. The location is inconvenient, there's only street parking, and I really felt like I wasted my time. I learned pretty much nothing. I also got pole burn on my wrist because the studio doesn't offer powder for the poles. They try to force you to purchase it if you want to use it. read more

This is my regular pole dance studio - this means a lot because I like to try out new studios and search for the best quality for the best deals. My friend and I have been going regularly for 3/4 of a year now We like it because it's clean with a nice ambiance, the teachers for the classes we regularly attend are encouraging and nice, and they regularly give out deals even to existing clients (unlike lots of other dance/fitness studios out there that reel you in with a deal and then deny you future deals). The only downfall for the studio can also be seen as a bonus. The poles are separated (4 in one space with higher ceilings and 4 in an adjoining space with lower ceilings). They are not exactly in a completely different room as it's one open room, but they are clustered in quads. This does mean that the teacher has to run from one cluster to the other to teach, demo, spot and watch. So, you don't get the teacher's attention the whole time. The bonus to this is that you have a lot of freedom to work on your own without the teacher "breathing down your neck". So, I guess it depends on your learning preference. I usually go with my friend, and we have fun trying things together and helping each other out when the teacher isn't with us. Even when I've been alone, I end up talking and helping the other girls in the class - everyone there is really nice. I also really like that their cancellation policy is outside of 6 hours for no penalty. This is pretty good compared to other studios in LA that have 8 or 12 hour policies. They also let you roll over unused classes when you buy a new package! Is that awesome or what? I would definitely recommend this studio! I just bought a friend a 4 class pack to introduce her to pole dancing and she loves it so far! We are going together tonight! Thank you Evolve! read more

I purchased a Groupon for 2 pole classes, 3 regular dance classes and have been attending them with 3 girlfriends. I've taken 2 pole classes and 1 dance class (fantasy floor work). The pole classes were a blast! Emily was our instructor both times and she was fantastic. Very helpful, works with you one-on-one to make sure you've got it and are positioning yourself into the poses correctly, and her playlist always makes you want to rock that pole. We were all so sore in the most random places and sad to see our pole sessions come to an end! We signed up for the Fantasy Floor Work class and much to our (happy) surprise Emily was subbing for that instructor. She was just as wonderful. The class did feel a little overwhelming as everyone had been taking it a few weeks and it seems to build on itself each week, but Emily makes everyone feel welcome. The studio-parking can be difficult to find. The floor inside the studio could use a good sweeping. Our Fantasy Floor Work class was at 8:30pm, after a full day of prior classes, and there was lint, hairs, and other items on the floor and we were having to crawl around in it. The studio doesn't appear dirty to the naked eye and it was not a major problem. A quick sweep would be appreciated though. :) Wish we lived closer to this studio...I would definitely get a membership! read more

Evolve is simply the best! I have been taking pole classes there on and off for about a year and a half. Every instructor is not only skilled as a dancer, but more importantly, truly great at teaching. I tried another studio closer to home and discovered just how awful bad instruction is and how it takes away all the fun of pole. Good instruction truly makes a difference. Everyone that works at Evolve is professional, friendly, and kind. The studio is beautiful and always immaculate. They have great retail products and a great selection of pole stilettos. Booking online is super easy and their 6 hour cancellation policy is more than fair. If you want to learn pole (or anything else they teach), this is the place to go. I drive from Sherman Oaks and pass a dozen other studios on the way. It is always worth the drive. read more

Being a guy, And never taking a pole class before, I was extremely nervous to try and also wondered how the girls would react to a man being their. I was very surprised when, after introducing myself and mentioning how nervousness I was, all of the ladies welcomed me and made me feel very comfortable. I also let my instructor, Peppa, know that I was more interested in a strength/masculine style that still involved dance and a fluidity to it and, though teaching "sexy style" at this location, she was more than willing to work with me; as I don't intend to put on spike heels... All in all it was a wonderful experience with a kind and caring instructor and I can't wait to go again and also to try the silks classes. I haven't been for a class in months, but I really enjoy classes here. I took my first few classes here over a year ago, then I tried another place out of curiosity. The other place in my opinion was horrible. The spacing of the poles was near zero, completely crowded. The instructors seemed afraid to touch you, in terms of providing assistance and direction towards perfecting moves. My experience with the 3 different instructors I've had over approximately 6-8 classes with Evolve, is that all of their instructors are hands on! They are all extremely talented, and inspire me to be better based on their bodies alone, aside from the pole work. The classes start on time, and at the end I've had a few classes where they went a little longer than scheduled, which was a plus. My body is ALWAYS sore afterwards, for better or for worse! The one con I have recognized is that they do not offer specials and deals as often as other studios. I have been on their email blast list for a while and rarely see an email that entices pre-existing customers. Most of the time they are only invitations for new dancers. What about me?! Pole dancing is an expensive habit, and if it weren't I'd be much further along. In writing this review I've reignited my interest in it. We had a warm-up exercise. Then, we learned 3 movements, then had a free dance. The teacher was so helpful and patient with beginners. We had array fun time. The reason I did not give Evolve 5 stars was due to professionalism. I came to a beginners level one pole class and was super intimidated (like most people) but was serious about wanting to learn the moves and gain strength and flexibility. However, there was a group of people (maybe bachelorette?) that did not take the class seriously and spent most of the time taking videos and photos of themselves goofing around. The group had two guys in it so I'm sure it was out of their comfort zone... but that is no reason not to be mindful of those around you that are there to learn and take the class seriously. Also be aware that the studio allows overbooking and you may or may not have to share a poll with someone else. I was not made aware of this and luckily did not have to during my class but some people had to double up. I understand goofiness because you feel awkward but they were being reckless and not even trying to follow along to the instructions that the teacher was giving. One of the girls even tried to get on the pole while holding her phone in one hand while also gripping the pole with the same hand. A lot of the exercises/pole moves were not corrected and the group was throwing themselves around pretty forcefully. I also thought that they should at least have asked if it was ok to video in the studio, as some people do not wish to be in videos or the studio's policy might be strict. While they were using their phones to take videos and selfies during the class, I not only felt that it was pretty rude but also very distracting and took away from the seriousness of the environment. The attitude of the group next to me seemed like mockery and they were just goofing around most of the time for photos. I just think that the instructor should have talked to them privately and told them to be mindful of the environment. I definitely would have given the studio at least 4 stars if the teacher had been able to control the environment better and made more of an effort to come around the room and watch people instead of just taking questions when needed. I also would have liked a little bit more direction or friendliness from the front desk, as it was my first time and I felt like a deer in the headlights. The front desk lady was not unfriendly per se but it would have been nice to have a little bit more info about where to set up, who the instructor was, and where to put my stuff etc. Evie was a great instructor and walked us through the basics but i also wish there was more of a warm up or cool down (wrist stretches, back stretches, basic flexibility warm ups, etc). I know that you can seriously injure your wrists if you aren't use to the movements and noticed that there were no wrist mobility exercises included. Overall, I'm not sure that I will be returning as I was frustrated and turned off by how the situation of the group was not handled or acknowledged. I think the number one concern (other than safety) for any pole studio should be focused on providing a safe and comfortable environment/atmosphere for all clients. read more

Went to Evolve for the Into to Pole Dance class for first time last week. Pole dancing was definitely a great workout. Emily was a great instructor, and extremely friendly. She made everything look easy, and catered the class to the group, but she made sure to give individual instructions to everyone as well. We started out with a good warm-up, and then moved into basic walking and beginner spins. The only problem was that there wasn't as much space as I would've liked, and I had to share the pole with other people. Being that it was a Sunday, this is understandable. I went to the BOOTYLICIOUS class last night and I had a great time as well as a great workout. The instructor was super fun and made everyone feel very comfortable. Shaking your butt completely sober in front of others can be a little nerve racking, but at no point was I self concious or embarrassed. W I learned a lot and have a lot to work on so I am going to take some private lessons as well as other classes. Try it! I've been coming here every day for almost two months now, and I love it so much. Previous to this studio, I've spent time at two other studios in the area, and after considering many factors, have decided to choose Evolve as my "home" studio. I really enjoy the variety of classes, the overall atmosphere, and how amazing the teachers are. There are classes for all skill levels, and within each class, the teachers will take the time to tailor the tricks/ choreo to each students' individual needs. The owner is friendly, pleasant, and helpful, and the studio itself is well-maintained, spacious, and easy to navigate. I would suggest for new students to read class descriptions before joining classes to ensure they have the skill set to fully enjoy the class (there are beginner classes for everyone though!! Like, never ever taken one dance class before beginner) I would also suggest to arrive a few minutes early to find a parking space (but you should know this by now in Los Angeles ) Make sure to sign up for the email list, as there's always great deals going on! read more

Bought a Groupon to this place and was really excited to try out pole dancing and take their belly dancing class...between the scheduling issues, parking and oh, there is no more belly dancing classes.. I am not a fan...there are better establishments elsewhere...save yourself the time and frustration. And in response to their comment...when I went to schedule Belly dancing classes 2 weeks ago...they had them nowhere on your website schedule for the month of April on...and now when I checked they do...again, clearly there are issues that need to be resolved within this establishment and I don't have the time to waste while they figure it out. This is a fair review and people deserve to see all sides so that they can make informed decisions...I wish I would have read these comments on yelp before I purchased my groupon. read more

I love Evolve studio. Everyone here has been so positive and helpful in my evolution. I've been attending pole and fitness classes here for over a year and I've lost 30 lbs and almost 3 sizes! People at the studio were telling me I had lost weight before my scale even showed it. The inches started dropping off and then the scale started to dip as well. Mary is like a second mom. She's always giving me encouragement and kind words of congratulations on my fitness/weight loss transition. The instructors are great too! Always full of encouragement and helping you reach your potential. They always give you some positive feedback to keep you motivated on your journey. Evolve has amazing instructors. I would be there everyday if i lived closer." Updating my review: The classes are changing and not sure if I'll continue going to this studio once I'm finished using my current classes. The owner cancels classes up to when class is supposed to start if she doesn't have enough students. Once I started driving to the studio from my parents (which is over an hour), I noticed an email from the studio that class was cancelled. Another time, I went to class and since only two students showed up, they cancelled class. This doesn't work for me since I live over an hr away from the studio. It is extremely unfair to the students to cancel class after class was supposed to start esp when the instructor was also present ready to teach. Reiko doesn't teach at this studio anymore. Mina doesn't teach on Saturday anymore. Sajsa doesn't teach on Sundays anymore. Since I never know when class will be cancelled, I don't feel comfortable signing up for classes during the week since I have to give myself 2 hours to drive to the studio. I'm going to start taking classes at Allure which is down the street from Evolve. read more

I LOVE Evolve Dance Studio. I have been looking for a place to take a Pole Dancing class and found Evolve on Yelp. I ended up buying the 5 classes for $50. I arrived to my first class 10 minutes early (I was able to find a parking spot right in front of the studio) and was greeted by the woman at the front desk who was super sweet. After signing me in she gave me a brief tour. The class started with a quick warmup before starting on the poles. I absolutely loved the teacher Emily. Came for a private party and it was so much fun! We drank and ate a little prior to the class. The instructor broke down each step for all of us to follow along. I personally, haven't done any sort of exercise in essentially 4 years so I was tired afterwards but it was totally worth it. Out of our party of eight, only one girl wore shoes. The rest of us went barefoot. My only complaint is that I wish the windows blocked more light, it was a little difficult getting good pictures from certain angles. The first part of our class was pole dance followed by lap dancing. Within a couple of minutes I was spinning around the pole to my own amazement. The class progressed and added more complex moves in which I was the only one not able to follow along. The instructor noticed immediately and walked me through the move. The lap dancing was great as well. Learned a few flirtatious moves to bring home which were well received. All in all, I recommend this studio if you are looking to have some fun and work muscles that may have been dormant previously. read more

Evolve was lovely! Walking in I was shocked at how friendly everyone was! The front desk girl immediately introduced herself and gave me a tour making me feel totally welcome. The girls were friendly and the instructor (Emily) was very sweet and great at giving personalized instruction based on levels. Facility was great, clean, with perfectly tall 45mm poles! A great place for a beginner or advanced poler. The one thing I REALLY missed at this studio vs other studios is free dance time at the end of class. I've been here twice for an aerial silks class. There was a long dance warm-up on yoga mats and some basic floor conditioning that followed. The teacher was nice. Pros: - Cheaper aerial classes - Welcoming environment for beginners - student to silks ratio: 6 students to 2 silks Cons: * I don't come from a pole background... but from listening to Pole Dancers talk, it seems that they don't use crash pads when they do their pole tricks? Is that right? I was thinking about this because honestly this is the first studio I've been to where I really disapproved of the crash pad situation under the silks: one was a circle, the other were what seemed like 4 pillows placed together. You're kidding me right? I've heard of aerial studio owners tell me that the thickness of the crash pad is basically written into their insurance policy... so my first reaction when I saw this was... ugh this isn't safe. But maybe it's different because pole dancers are more cavalier about these things? And it's true, in pole dancing and aerial competitions there often isn't a crash pad used. Still.... I'm not a fan. EVERY other aerial studio I've been too uses a crash pad. In fact, now that I think about it, every pole studio I've been to that offers aerial classes, uses much bigger crash pads than this place. ACE says this: "All aerial practitioners must have appropriate matting regardless of age or context. e.g. minimum 1 1⁄2" mat for students whose lowest point is 0' - 4' in the air, 6"- 8" crash mat if student is not actively spotted or is above the spotters shoulders. And then you watch them and it's a mess...well of course... It's obviously not their fault; where is the curriculum with reasonable progressions to build strength? read more

The most beautiful, supportive dance studio I've ever been to. The interior design is stunning. Every corner is a visual feast. The place makes you want to dance. Lani who runs the studio is so warm and welcoming. I came over from London and wanted to continue lessons and she has made me feel so at home. The instructors are incredibly talented and so inspirational - check out Jamé Ellis who should have a PhD in Polosophy! She has taught me the deeper meaning of pole dance. I was at a tissu class on Sunday and Leigh, the instructor, and I had a disagreement that ended with her yelling "do whatever the (expletive) you want" to me in front of three other students. That was incredibly traumatizing. This behavior is unacceptable for any business; but since this place is in the business of instructing/teaching people a skill, this behavior is simply outrageous. Mind you, my disagreement with her was on a personal preference (I wanted to make a move with the opposite hand than the one she suggested), not a safety concern, so I was not putting myself or others in danger (even if I was, there was no reason for her to curse). I walked out of the class because what else am I supposed to do after something like that? I contacted the owner later that day to explain the situation and demand a refund (it's been four days, I have not seen the refund). The owner did apologize profusely. When I expressed my outrage, she asked that I not base my entire opinion about the studio on one incident (I'm not sure that is a reasonable request, given the nature of the incident). But I decided to let myself calm down and reconsider ... well, it's been four days, and I'm still upset (imagine a teacher cursing at you in front of the entire class, that is how it feels and just as unacceptable). I also cannot recall having a good experience up to this point (I have taken 12 classes before this happened). More than half of the classes I signed up for got canceled; one time I didn't find out about it until I showed up at the class (the girl at the front desk casually said "oh, no one told you the class was canceled?"). That was incredibly annoying. After I complained, the owner got better at sending advance notification about class cancellation, but classes were still getting canceled all the time. When classes were actually held, one instructor (guess who?) would often run late (this happened at least two or three times, maybe more, out of all the classes I've taken). I was already on the fence about continuing to take classes here, but the latest incident is just the (expletive) cherry on top. I think I shall take Leigh's advice to do whatever I want and stop spending money at a studio that does not care about its students. read more

I really hate to write this bad review because the instructors were so nice but me and my friends did the ten class package a while back and both of us had itchy hands that were red. I clean the poles with sanitizer before I use them but I guess it wasn't enough. I went to urgent care and I got ringworm from the studio on my hands.... It was so embarrasing I didn't even ever go back to get a refund. The classes are fun and the instructors are knowledgable but I have been scared for months after to even try pole dancing classes at another studio even. I've never had ringworm before and I was pretty horrified to know I caught something like that. Word of caution if you do decide to go bring your own sanitizer and wear socks and gloves. Their sanitizing spray apparently is not very effective. I do not recommend this place unless you want to get ringworm. What a waste of money I didn't even wanna go back to get a refund... read more

I have been attending Evolve for over 9 months now (Pole dancing for 1.5 years) and I thought it was time to give them a review. My review will be based on the classes that I have taken, as well as their facilities and customer service. FACILITIES: I was talking with a friend about this place and she stated a perfect word that describes Evolve. She said it feels like you are at the spa. So true but with a erotic touch. I really love the ambiance of Evolve's Studio. When you walk in you automatically smell candle scent in the air. It's quite blissful. They have really great lighting which helps set an erotic mood (especially for floorwork and sensual movement class). Lani (the owner) always has complimentary ice water with lemons, cucumbers and oranges. So divine! And once in a while they have little treats such as mini cat cookies or chocolate covered almonds/raisins. How thoughtful! Also I want to mention their floors. Lol. I always tell people how much I absolutely LOVE their hardwood floors. Especially when I am slithering along the floor dancing. They feel amazing! Inside décor is very gorgeous and modern. Place is very clean and well maintained. SERVICE: Their customer service is excellent. Every time I enter the studio Lani always greets me kindly. When I have an issue with my account, Lani always gets back to me in a timely manner when I email her. And always makes adjustments immediately. I really appreciate it the good service. CLASSES: Fantasy Floor Work (Annemarie Davies): Sensual Movements (Annemarie Davies): My floorwork has improved immensely since taking her class. AM has great style and has been doing this for a long time. She teaches you how to be fluid, tap into your inner alter ego, and always keeps the class moving. I have not seen a class like this in LA yet. I look forward to AM's classes every week. I love that I can just let go and not be judged and every time I leave I feeling sexy and very empowered. Very theraputic. Probably better than going to a therapist. lol. Pole Dancing (Annemarie Davies): AM is a very good pole dance teacher and an amazing pole dancer I might add. She explains/breaks down a spin or a trick very thoroughly. She will let you know if you are doing a move incorrectly and tell you how to fix it. Excellent. I value that. These are signs of a good teacher. She has alot of passion for pole and I think that is really important for every teacher to have that drive. Overall my experience with Evolve has been pleasant and positive. I highly recommend you try out their facilities. read more

Having purchased a Groupon for 2 Level 1 Pole Dance classes at Evolve almost a year ago, I did what I do just about every time I purchase a voucher and waited until just before it was going to expire before I tried to redeem it. The redemption process can be easily completed online (they have a fantastic site and lots of cool stuff on their mindbody scheduling site too) if you do happen to have trouble like I did (and I wasn't even blonde yet when this happened!) the girls who work the front desk and phone are beyond patient and sweet and will totally walk you through the process without ever once sounding annoyed. The instructors are all, aside from being incredibly talented dancers, extremely encouraging, supportive and fun! Sasja and Emily are my favorites. With only 6 Level 1 classes under my belt I'm starting to really feel comfortable learning new spins and routines since every single class has taught me something different. Some very basic things have been covered in more than 1 of the classes I've attended like the firefly spin or techniques to get you up from the floor to standing while still looking sexy. A few classes have been very accelerated where we learned spin after spin, body rolls, backbends, and even started learning to climb. No matter what we've learned each class has been fun, energizing and overall empowering. Most of the time each girl gets her own pole (only once did we have 1 shared pole out of 8) and plenty of personal attention from the instructor as well as other girls in the class. I really love how everyone helps and supports each other. The studio offers tons of specials and discounts on classes so it makes it very affordable. After just 1 class I was so stoked about learning more that I bought 10 additional classes (they offer a special for first time dancers of 5 classes for $50). They recommend that you take at least 6 Level 1 classes before moving on to Level 2 but I could really see it being beneficial to stay in Level 1 for quite a long time because so many different foundational tricks and tips are taught each time and the class is also split into "beginners" and "advanced" where I've seen girls doing lots of climbing and inversions. It's also really cool to show up early for a class and watch the tail end of the previous class. I've been awed by the girls practicing Tissu (silks) and inspired by some sexy as hell floor work and freestyle pole routines. Be prepared for bruises, blisters, scrapes, etc but don't let that scare you off! Free parking is never a problem. Either park on the residential street Hayworth or if you go for a later class the meters immediately in front of the entrance are almost always open. read more
