He is very kind and funny, and has a great bedside manner. He asks at the beginning of every session how my digestive issues are doing, and gives me an opportunity to mention other areas I might like to use acupuncture to treat. The treatment itself has also helped a lot. I have noticed a considerable difference in the bloating and pain in my abdomen upon application of the needles. My anxiety has also remarkably improved. I think this is from a combination of things, but the process of treatment itself (lying in a quiet room with mood lighting and soothing music) is a great stress reliever and an opportunity to slow down and truly be in the moment. They would literally knock me to my knees or my arms and limbs would just jerk and move involuntarily. I moved like a tin man that needed lubrication; and, I fell frequently because my knees would buckle whenever I tried to walk normally. I fell and tore the meniscus in my left knee in three places. Thereafter, I had to wear a custom brace to walk like a cripple. Also, I was nearly run over in a parking lot trying to get out of the way of two oncoming vehicles; but, instead as I tried to pick up my pace, I fell right in front of them. Luckily they saw me and stopped. This was my life before I started seeing Dr. Kim at OK-GO Acupuncture. I had tried just about everything else; but, OK-GO Acupuncture was the only treatment that got the Zingers under control and gave me confidence to walk without my brace.
