The process…read moreis pretty straightforward -- once you get a referral from your Kaiser doctor, it goes to American Specialty Health (ASH), and after you get your approval letter, you can search the ASH website for authorized acupuncture practitioners in your area. That's how I found Patrick. He's the owner here, and he's fantastic. The place itself is no-frills -- clean, simple, and straight to the point. Multiple treatment rooms, easy check-in, and appointments have been a breeze. What I really appreciate is that my co-pay is only $10 per visit (through Kaiser), and they approve five visits at a time. Once those are done, Patrick submits paperwork to Kaiser if you need more treatments. He offers acupuncture, cupping, and herbal remedies if needed. I went in after spraining my back -- no clue how it even happened -- but after a few sessions with Patrick, I felt SO much better. Like, genuinely healed. He knows what he's doing, and you can tell he really cares about his patients.
