So let's start this off with saying I have had 8 piercings, 6 currently. When I went to Evolved I was referred by a friend to get my other side of my Tragus pierced. I was very excited to get it done until I saw who the piercer would be. The attitude from the piercer was a bit much for me but I thought to myself don't judge a book by its cover and let's get this done. He was so rude throughout the entire experience questioning why I got my other Tragus pierced somewhere else, telling me to chill the F*** out for no reason and then when it came time for the piercing got the needle stuck in my ear. This was 2 months ago and my Tragus is so swollen to this day and throbbing. I went back to the piercer he spent 3 seconds after I waited a half hour for his "Smoke break" to tel me he didn't know why I came in because it looks fine. You want to hear the funny part about this. I had to go to another local piercer , Body Jewel, to tell me that the earring was digging into my ear and so swollen I was allergic to the metal!!!! The fact that the first piercer didn't even care to put gloves on to investigate my ear is ridiculous. So let me tell you this. Ye beware of taking your piercing adventure to Evolved and god help you if you get Dave as a piercer! read more

I knew exactly what I wanted, I was told this was the place to get it! I have a co-worker who was a professional piercer from 1984-1995 in Philadelphia who is going to do the piercing. One: I dress conservative, and Two: i am not a youngster! Upon my request for 2 curved 8mm barbells, that is where it all began! I was questioned why and by who I was getting pierced. Then they need to do an anatomy check, then was told it should be done professionally as they hinted the piercer they didn't know couldn't do as good of a job! So today I had the absolute pleasure of meeting Mike Chance. He was Amazing!!! When I arrived I saw him interacting with another client he had just finished with, and he had the warmest smile. I asked him if he could pierce my nose for me and he was so kind and welcoming!!! He didn't just pierce me anywhere he took time to find just the right spot. I had a piercing on my nose previously and I thought he would have just re-pierced that spot but he didn't, he took his time with the placement. I visited on their free piercing day, Tuesday. It was fairly busy, however, the employees at the front desk were on top of greeting me and the other customers as they trickled in. There was plenty of seating. Mind you, this is their busiest day of the week so I waited for maybe 40 minutes in total, however, it was a pleasant atmosphere with plenty of piercing and tattoo photo albums to look at. Dave was my piercer and he was very welcoming and professional. I noticed he took multiple safety/sanitary measures to keep his hands, jewelry, and equipment clean, which I appreciated. Although he was busy that day, I didn't feel rushed or brushed aside at all. He took the time to converse and answer any questions I had. I had an amazing experience at Evolved. I went in to get a tattoo (my first) and I could not have been more nervous. I am an older person and so so NOT cool. I felt like a fish out of water walking into a super cool and edgy place like Evolved. However, everyone at Evolved was friendly and made me feel comfortable and cared for. The facility was clean and well-lit and everything was explained to me fully. I can't imagine having a better experience anywhere else. I really enjoyed getting my nose pierced here. They had very knowledgeable staff members who talked me through every step. Also, it was my birthday so I only had to pay for the jewelry. I saved about $30 just from that. However, I did think the price for the stud was a bit costly. It was $30 for a surgical stainless steel nose stud. In my opinion, that's too much as its a very very small piece. Other than that, I really enjoyed this shop. I definitely would go back. read more

I wanted to re-pierce my ears (cartilage) and didn't know where to start, but I definitely didn't want to do the gun-to-the-ear thing (offered at many places in the mall like Claire's, Pagoda, etc). So I went to seek help and of course, a fellow Yelper comes to my rescue ^__^ - she recommended Evolved - tattoos and piercing studio. Evolved is located on the second floor at the new location (the older location has a huge sign that prompts you to their new site... yes, I went to the old one and was re-directed). Upon entering, I was greeted immediately by one of the staff. After confirming my appointment (with Ms. Lindsay Hearts), he took my license to make a copy and asked what kind of jewelry I was looking to pair with my piercing. The friendly staff took pity of my confused expression and he kindly went over A LOT of possible options for this type of piercing. After I made my decision, he gave me a form to initial and sign my life away. He told me it'll be about a 15-minute wait so I decided to look around. The studio was really open and spacious; it was really clean and well decorated. All the artist I ran into here, coming and going, were really nice - always had a smile to give away ^__^ ...or maybe they felt sorry for me because I looked kind of "lost." lol.... Anyways, my time was up and Ms. Lindsay came out to get me; she took me to the back where the artists have their areas to do their work. Ms. Lindsay took me to her section, I showed her a picture, and she took it from there. First, she explained how they sterilize their equipments and showed me the process. Then she poured out some black ink to make the markings on my ear; it looked pretty good. She had me lay down with my head turned to the side and like after what it seemed like 2 minutes, she was done. Ms. Lindsay prepared me step by step, kindly including the inhalation and exhalation part (which without the reminder, I probably would have held my breath and cause some degree of brain damage, just kidding, but not really..), so there were no surprises. She was really gentle, quick, and the precess was nearly painless (umm... I don't know why, but this last description is making me blush o_O;;) Anywhoo, she gave me a mirror for inspection and it looked just the way I wanted it to look :) She led me back to the front area, went over post-care instructions, and made sure I didn't walk away with any questions unanswered. She's great!! I recommend Ms. Lindsay Hearts and Evolved to anybody who is looking to get a piercing. My overall experience at Evolved? Pretty awesome!! I came in today for a piercing around 6pm, not sure what to expect, as it was my first time here. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by a man at the counter. He asked me what I wanting to get and then showed me jewelry option and prices. As soon as I made my decision and filled out a quick sheet of paper, I was then greeted by my piercer, Heather. Right off the bat, she asked me whether or not I've been pierced there before, then proceeded to be very informative about the maintenance and what to expect. I've been working with AJ for a few years now. His work is amazing and, most importantly, he worked patiently with me as we drew and redrew and tweaked various elements until just right. I've had tattoos at other places previously and there is a noticeable difference in the healing process when done correctly. Okay, first of all I'm a very picky person. I have a bunch of tattoos and piercings. I've got nipples pierced , my industrial, and my bridge done there. I now had too take out my bridge because it wasn't straight and got a bubble on it. Not okay. Second my industrial is not healing at all and I did everything they said to take care of it. Collin pierced everything but my nipples. When I got my nipples pierced he had it so crooked that he took out the jewlery and tried to pierce it again. To no avail. They were both so crooked I took them out when I left. The people there at the desk seem nice enough but it's not okay to be more worried about making money as opposed to customer service. I asked them what I should do about my piercings and they basically told me to remove them and come back to have them 're pierced. What would I do that when they couldn't even get them right the first time. Or the second time, ? I do not recommend coming here. Worst experience I've ever had. I recommend piercology on first. Best place by far just a bit more expensive. Then again I suppose you get what you pay for in my case I paid for two ugly scars on my face. ..... read more

My boyfriend and I came back here to give it another try after realizing we were mistaken about the price information and we were glad about the encouraging response I got on my last review from someone from the shop and we are both really glad we came back. This time we went to the location of summit and it was a night and day difference from the one on High. We didn't have appointments just walked in for tattoos and were immediately met by a nice girl at the front, she even helped me figure out how to locate a dont I liked because I foolishly didn't bring a reference font with me. My boyfriend got a tattoo by Brent and had such a great experience, and I had one by joe and he was awesome too. Our tattoos are healing so nicely and his even though it was a lot bigger than mine healed better than any tattoo I've seen. It's only a four star because I'm still a bit peeved about our first experience, but we will be coming back and hope to have more good experiences here! read more

Went there ths morning as a walk in when they opened. I was told they had 2 artists there but both had 1 o'clock appointments. Web site says they only take in person appointments and I am from out of town. I was told to come back later but no guarantee I would be able to see anyone.
