Cute interior, decent foods, our waitress was friendly and attentive, food came a bit slow since we came during the rush hour, we didn't mind at all, enjoyed the slow paced, chill, brunch vibe!

This is one of the best brunch places ever. Great food. Generous portions. Great service. Amazing and well maintained booths. Reasonable prices. New vegan menu. If you haven't been there in a while I strongly recommend giving them a try as they have upgraded their vegan items especially the Reuben. New items were added as well. Overall amazing keep up the good work.

I cannoy accept this rating! First of all, this place is beautiful. So nice and feminine. Great for brunches. The service is great and attentive. I have been here twice and have enjoyed the experience both times. The food is good. Nothing amazing but delicious nonetheless. I think this will continue to be a meet up place for me and my friends.

Got the Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict and the portions was pretty small. It was a good dish but for the price, I wouldn't order this again and probably try something else. The pancakes and French toast seemed pretty good and was a good portion. The interior has nice photo ops and great staff.

Book club.. meal Location: nice parking with lots of other things near bye. Very small compared to the one down town. If you come near meals you get on a wait list. They should really look at another location cause they have the custom but most don't want to wait to sit.. Food: it was ok mine was a bit cold the others look great but no butter on the toast. Staff: very nice and welcoming.

Smart Heart Breakfast - Greek salad, Atlantic smoked salmon, poached eggs, rye toast

Had brunch here a few Thursday's ago and it was nice! Pretty closeby to where we were staying during my Toronto trip and I loved that they offer healthier versions of typical brunch dishes, but also nutella waffles if you're feeling indulgent. Even though I'm not vegan and didn't order any vegan items, I was impressed by the vegan menu here - it's pretty extensive. There's a bit of everything for everyone! I decided to be on the healthier side and got the Smart Heart Breakfast w/ poached eggs, smoked salmon and the house salad. Love the balance of light carbs (toast), greens and protein - this is actually so hard to find at most brunch spots. It's usually either granola/yogurt or a fried chicken & waffles, with no in-between. There was a slight mishap, however, where I got a fried egg instead of the poached that I asked for but it was quickly resolved - they let us keep the fried egg and immediately brought out the correct eggs. Everything was delicious! I also had the maple latte since it seemed v Canadian and different and it was also so good. Definitely on the sweeter side but not overbearingly so.

After seeing a lot of Instagram posts about this place I decided to check this place out for my birthday. My partner and I came here Sunday morning before 10am and the place was rather empty which was great! The hostess told us we could sit anywhere and I decided to sit by the corner booth for two near the window. The place is super cute and picture worthy. My first issue was how poorly the service was, mainly the server that was handling my table to the service in general. After sitting down we look over the online menu and I guess being in a corner isn't the best seating choice but I figure I wasn't gonna be rude and take up a table meant for four people. So flagging down a server was pretty difficult and when I did flag someone down, turns out she wasn't in charge of my section and I had to wait for our actual server. Her actions of initial acknowledgement were non exisiting, she took our order down and that was that what a major turn off. When our food arrived, I had to ask for cutlery and water while everyone else around me being seated with different servers were on point with water to start and Cutlery smh. We got the fluffy pancakes with compote to share, my partner got the mushroom omelette with seasoned potatoes and salad while I got the eggs benny with seasoned poatoes and salad. The potatoes were delicious, probably the only thing that tasted great as they were super crispy. The salad was citrus and refreshing but nothing too special. The poached eggs were nice. The pancakes were fluffy and compote was alright, a bit bland but I get that's why there was syrup on the side to balance. The omelette was so dry, pretty overcooked and I almost choked on it as it got stuck half way down my system so definitely not recommended. Food wise and presentation I thought it looked pretty with the edible flowers and the pancakes were pretty colorful. Our server did check up on us twice, once to ask us how our food was and two to ask if we needed a refill on coffee after that she disappeared. The place did pick up and started getting real busy so I could understand why she was running around. Getting the bill was probably more difficult than anything I've experienced, trying to look for our server who was non existing was even harder. At one point I lost my patience and tried to flag down someone who acknowledged that I wanted my bill but then went on to take down orders for her section, put down food, etc. I get it, it's not her section but honestly by the time my server got here I was already fed up and totally done with this place. I didn't understand why there were over 10 staff just roaming around and not actually doing anything productive. Nobody took the initiative to help each other out, everyone seemed to be fending for themselves. Most of them looked like they were being forced to work against their will lmao. It was overpriced and I don't mind paying for overpriced brunch but at least it's gotta taste good and not try to kill me lol.

I came on a Sunday for brunch after an appointment with my boyfriend and met up with some friends in the area to eat here. It was quite busy but luckily there was a table for 4 outside. We ordered the salmon Benny and steak and eggs. Both were decent dishes, however it was on the pricier side as it was $18-22 per dish. It was definitely bigger portions and the taste was not bad. I don't think any place can screw up eggs and toast. We also got coffee and our server was pretty attentive to check up on us to see if we needed anything. Overall, decent brunch place if your in the area.

We came here for the first time on a Sunday morning for brunch. The resto was packed but luckily a table opened up and we got a good spot inside the resto. The host was very friendly. The patio is also available if you prefer to be outdoors. We ordered the freshly squeezed orange juice and that was ok. My hubby had the coffee and it was bottomless. The food was really good. Very good flavour and the eggs Benny looked so pretty. The portions were generous.l and the food was hot which we like. Wile will definitely be back!

Evviva is a chain restaurant serving breakfast and lunch where they have multiple locations across the city. Their newest location is in North York near Yonge/Empress. Over the weekends, they do not take reservations for brunch or lunch. They have an extensive vegan brunch menu as well as brunch classics. My party of 4 and I dined at Evviva on a Saturday during a long weekend recently. We arrived at the restaurant around 12:30 to the bustling space and was put on the waitlist for a table (the restaurant texts you once your table is ready). We waited about half an hour for our table. The restaurant was extremely busy during our time there. Service was a bit slow but we understood that the staff were extremely busy with the volume of customers. Our server was friendly and did her best with how busy she. Food wise, my party and I ordered the following: - Vegan slam platter (opted for the tofu scramble) - Chicken and waffles - Breakfast sandwich - Bacon, sausage, ham, and eggs (added pancakes) - Drinks included freshly squeezed orange juice, matcha latte, and kombucha. Food portions were large! I had the vegan slam platter and I was not able to finish everything. The cripsy soy bacon and beyond meat patty were delicious alongside the tofu scramble. My dish also came with your choice of toast as well as green and home fries. I had a bite of the pancakes as well which were made well. Overall, a cozy vibe and big portions. A nice addition to the area!

I love this place! Was so excited when it opened it. I was so eager that there was a day when I walked (barged) into the place and startled some construction workers since they place wasn't open but I thought it was. My go-to is the salmon egg bennies. It is packed with flavour, the home fries do not dissappoint and the salad is proper. My friend got the chicken and waffles and expected it to be closer to southern comfort food but it is more sweet than savory when consisdering the gravy/topping since it only comes with syrup on the side. Today I decided to not get the bennies (which I have now enjoyed on 4 previous ocassions haha) adn got the beyond burger which was shockingly large and delish. It comes with 2 onion rings inside, vegan bacon, pickles, and all the works. You can get yam fries with it at no extra cost. Coffee is bottomless and wished the one they brewed in the post was just a tad bit stronger. The decor is beautiful. I wanted to also highlight HOW AMAZING THE STAFFF and MANAGER are. Today they were short staffed and only 1 server waiting on a nearly full restaurant. She was doing such a fantastic job (lady with short light hair and tattoo sleeve - you are superwoman) and the manager came by to check on my friend and I. Apart from today, on the busiest fully staffed weekend they seat guests rather quickly and every other server I have been helped by is just so attentive and I think I love them haha. I have been there almost every week since they opened - my friends have contemplated staging an intervention LOL

I loved everything about this place. The food was delicious, service was great, and the place itself is so cute. I had a hot coffee and the western omelette. 10 out of 10 recommend

Cute decor, perfect for a girls' day brunch, but the service is a bit lacking. When we came in, we were greeted by a server that simply pointed to a general area of the restaurant to sit. Upon sitting down, a server came up to us and asked if we were ready to order, which we obviously weren't, so we said to give us 5 min to look at the menu. Selection is very wide, every brunch item you can think of. When it came to flagging down another server to take our order, we had an awkward experience where one server saw us and signaled to another to take our order. The other server came to us and seemed to have a problem with the iPad they use to take orders, but instead of saying something to us, she was silent the whole time she walked up to us, turned her back to us to fumble with the iPad, stood with her back turned for a legit 5 mins awkwardly, and then left to get another iPad. When she came back, she also didn't say anything, but simply stared at us as if we were supposed to know what to do. So we said our order, she confirmed by reading it back to us, then left. It was definitely an awkward experience. We ordered the Atlantic Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict and the Chicken Mozzarella Pesto sandwich. The eggs Bennie were awesome, there was a generous slice of smoked salmon that wasn't overly salty. The salad, however, was weirdly salty... The potatoes were okay, not particularly good but not bad either. The ciabatta bun on the sandwich was unusually hard, but the chicken was tender and pesto filling was lovely. The sandwich was definitely a mixed bag. Overall, service is pretty bare bones and honestly a bit lacking for this type of restaurant vibe. There are SO many staff, but they all seem reluctant to talk to you unless you're ordering or getting the bill. When interacting with them, it sort of feels like they all don't like working there--they don't even seem to like working with each other, which is super weird... The food is kind of pricy for what it is, but you'll get some nice IG-worth pics while you're there at least.

I liked the restaurant/cafe. The food was amazing. But their servers need to work on their attitude.

The restaurant is on the second floor, and the entrance is on the side of the building…read more It's a very pretty cafe, and there was a good mix of people working there on laptops, as well as couples on dates and families getting brunch. They have an extensive menu, and it all looks really good! We got the Chicken Karaage and Croffles, which really hit the spot if you like sweet and savory food! The Karaage was really well done and complimented the croffles. We also got the creme brulee souffle pancakes, which were well done! However, I do wish there was more of a caramelized top for the creme brulee. In hindsight I do wish I got a more interesting flavor like Ube or Pistachio since they have a good selection of flavors, but the creme brulee was still pretty tasty! I'd say order another flavor instead though. The souffle pancakes also take 20min to prepare which took longer than their other dishes, but as long as you're sharing plates and can eat something else until it comes then it's all good! Staff was really nice and attentive. Definitely coming back and trying more of their menu!

CAFE N ONE . …read more Cafe n One is probably one of my favourite "new" restaurants that I tried recently. Located on the 2nd floor at Yonge and Finch, Cafe n One is a bright, cute cafe serving Japanese inspired brunch items, drinks, pastas and desserts. . . Classic Breakfast 4/5 Chicken Karaage 3/5 Croffles 5/5 Green Tea Soufflé Pancake 4.3/5 Latte 4.8/5 . . We arrived around 10 minutes after open and there were already a handful of people seated. The drinks and food came out pretty quickly except the soufflé pancakes which takes 25minutes to prepare. My favourite was the croffle. For $10, you get 2 big pieces of croffle which tastes great with either whipped cream or syrup. The chicken karaage was kind of dry on its own, but dipping it in the syrup and eating it with the croffle made it better. If you want a hearty breakfast, the classic breakfast is a solid choice. The soufflé pancake was fluffy and delicious, well worth the wait. I was amazed by the detailed latte art as well. Highly recommend this cafe!

I have been exploring more Chinese breakfast choices lately and this place popped up on Uber eats…read more I am guessing it's a newly opened restaurant because there is no information on Yelp or Google. I hope they can update their phone number soon. In general, my experience was good. The food was 3.5-star quality with cheaper than average price. They were doing a buy one get one free promotion for some items on Uber eats. The owner was smart enough to include this promotion in their menu price so that you can even apply other normal Uber coupon in addition to it. They can also save some platform fees. I've order a few things: - Chinese pancake with egg, lettuce and sliced potato ($6.5 for 2 orders): Each order came with two pieces of rolled pancake. The temperature was a bit cold even after a short delivery, and the flavour was kinda okay. - Pulled pork Chinese burger: The bun tasted good, but the meat was a little dry. - Black fungus with vinegar dressing: I liked that they labeled clearly that it was small portion on the menu. This was my favourite dish from this order. The vinegar brought a refreshing taste to the fungus, and the fungus was cooked just alright. They also cut the bottom part of the fungus, so that the texture of the fungus tasted so much softer. - Glutinous rice balls in sweet rice wine ($5.5 for 2): This dessert was also on promotion. The soup was a bit watery, and not enough glutinous rice balls. However, I don't think I can complain too much when they only charge so much. In general, the food provided here is worth the penny.
