    Heart cake

We ordered my best friend's birthday cake from here. They only required three days' notice, and they did a great job making it look like the inspiration pictures we showed them. It was a beautiful cake, definitely everything we asked for. The vanilla cake tasted great as well, especially the Oreo filling.

Was driving by. Had an apple turnover. Tastes like grocery store turnovers for twice as much money. Will not bother again.

They're so light and fluffy and have the perfect amount of icing. The sprinkles are soft and a wonderful addition to the cupcake (from an avid sprinkle hater). We also will purchase the Challah which is perfect for french toast. In all honesty I had to dock a star as their cakes always look good, but tasted mid at best. Another reason being it is quite an expensive place. Sometime there are great sales, other times, paying full price will put a dent in your wallet. The staff is always friendly and show their care despite typically being teenagers. I also must credit them for being open so late, given they're a bakery. Great memories and I plan to come many times in my future!

Upon arrival there were additional charges for plating cookies or simply putting the items on a tray that was not mentioned and after pointing out they kindly waived the fee for using a tray. I wanted to pay in advance that seemed to be a problem because they charge by the pound when i was given a physical fee over email. Conversation felt tense and like I was a burden but I had no choice with the event being so close. Upon picking up the items my family picked up the baked goods and told me the employees were rude and once again felt like a burden and made sure to tell us plating will be $7 for next time. which there will not be next time. Happy to give my $200 to another bakery with higher quality product and a happier demeanor. Rainbow cookies are literately cake not the traditional cookies and cannolis have no chocolate chips in them. Feedback was it was okay but not great. Most guests told me since changing ownership, quality had diminished. For $200 i thought they would be nicer and happy for the business but based on quality and how we were treated, we won't be back.

I actually came here on a whim with my parents (who are very picky eaters and prefer Colombian food more than anything), and they were very satisfied! They have plates for really any palate, from baked goods to full meals, you will find something delicious. We happen to come on a Sunday morning and ordered smoothies (strawberry ones) to start our meals. A bit on the sweet side, but you can absolutely ask for a bit less sugar. The meal that seemed the most popular was a big chicken soup. My dad got it and was in love. It seemed like a good hangover cure, if u were looking around at the guys dragging around with long faces. We also go a tipical breakfast which included beans, eggs, rice and meat. This is very similar to a Colombian calentado, and it was a huge hit for my mom. Hubby and I shared an order of pupusas, crispy, delcious and hit the spot! All the meals were large enough to share, which we did along side some pastries, coffees and smoothies. The only star I am taking off is because the outside is super shady looking and for a while I thought it was a bar and hesistated to go in. Also, service took pretty long on menu items that weren't on their buffet. Overall, all of us left with full and happy bellies! I would absolutely come back again.

But, the highlight goes to their amazing rye bread loaves. I picked up a seeded rye today. It was thin sliced and very fresh. As soon as I got home I lightly toasted two and spread sweet butter over them. With hot coffee washdown, they were delicious; slightly sour, and crispy to the last bite. Reminded of childhood when my grandmother and I would walk up to Broadway and 173 St. in Manhattan for a shopping excursion and always visit the local bakery for supplies. There was always a slice of bread for me handed over by the baker/owner who took pity on my slight frame. I also picked up several kielbasa sticks and a few noshes (pazciks, apple and strawberry cheese danish) to see how good they were. Yup. They were uber sweet, but damn good - but kind of messy to handle. The smoked sausage were all tasty and "snapped" on biting. Well, I am here to tell you to stop in and eat everything off the menu, because it is AMAZING! We have been here twice and both times were good, but breakfast was better. I ordered the Gallo Pinto, which is a Costa Rican dish that includes black beans mixed with rice, a meat, fried cheese, egg, sausage, sweet plantains and a tortilla. The rice alone is worth having, so definitely give this a try. It is a magnificent spread that can feed two or good for sharing with a hungry toddler like mine. Hubby had the Chifrijol (black beans, white rice, crunchy fried pork layered on top pico de gallo & avocado) which was JUST as tasty just a bit small on the portion compared to mine. But a bargain for the $10 price, so absolutely give it a try for the chicharron (pork rinds) alone! Now as far as the bakery goes, we ordered a slab (yes, a mean a slab) of their corn bread and it is the best thing I've tasted in a while. It is a combination of perfectly homemade mixed with hints of the motherland that really make it out of this world. Each additional bite made it more and more appetizing. Get this. My toddler also wanted pancakes which we got 3 kid portion pancakes WITH bacon for only $4! And for a Latin spot, they make amazing pancakes! I also have to add that the service here is great, the whole restaurant is sparking clean and so cute inside. You get warm bread as you wait for your meal. The coffee is phenomenal and comes in GIANT mug. I really can't say more except...come spend your money here....order grub hub from here...and let me know if you like it!
