    Worst experience I have ever had at an Enterprise and I am a Gold Member! First rental I watch them…read morepass off the car I dropped off without any checks and balances- it was still in the return lane. The second time- the car was dirty!! Manager Abby attempted to clean it twice. But it was still filthy. She still gave me the car and told me to call back and she would let me know if she had another car. I called back 1 hour later. Some gentleman answered. Wouldn't let me speak with Abby and notified me hat they had nothing. I then went to leave with my family about an hour after that and the "maintenance required" notification came back on. I then called them back and a young lady answered this time. She told me they had a Mitsubishi outlander for me. I said that was fine. When I arrived Abby showed me a Chevy Equinox. At this point I was beyond upset and just took the car. My trip had already been delayed because of this. During the ride I complained about the cleanliness of the vehicle and even stopped to try and clean it my self. For the most part the car was parked during the trip and we secured other transportation as it did not seem to drive well. On the way back home a Check Engine light illuminated on the dashboard and the car would not accelerate. We had to pull over on the side of a busy highway in 100 degree weather. We ended up waiting for just over an hour for a tow truck. Troy at the location in Maryland was amazing in helping us get into a fully gassed, clean and drivable vehicle to get home. When I returned the vehicle Brad was helpful and he listened. But something needs to be done able the Euclid store and ensuring checks and balances are in place and being followed. I would also like at least half of my points spent on this trip. Very interesting I get a survey after every visit - not surprising I did not get the survey email after this one. I wonder way?!? I will post this on other platforms as well. This is not acceptable.

    TL;DR: My experience at this Avis suggests quite strongly that the agent here - who also appears…read moreto be the owner - is dishonest, tacking on unwarranted additional charges. Since there are plenty of options in the area, I see no reason to rent from here again. Full details: I rented a car from this Avis location, declined the fuel option and agreed to return the vehicle with the same amount of fuel it had at the start of the rental period. The agent/owner reminded me of this during the vehicle inspection before I left. I returned the car with the same amount of fuel - or perhaps a bit more - than it had upon pickup. The agent/owner specifically asked "and you refueled the vehicle?" to which I said yes. He inspected the car, seemingly found everything in order, charged my card on file, and I left. Upon returning home I noticed a $13.99 "Under 75 mi flat fee" was added. This was not disclosed anywhere or discussed at any time - not when I picked up the car, nor when I returned it. Reviewing the rental agreement and Avis' website, it appears they have an "EZFuel" program* where a $13.99 flat fee is added if you do NOT return the car with the fuel replenished. Of course that did not apply in my case, yet I was still charged this amount, even though the agent/owner confirmed I did refuel the vehicle, both in asking me and is his own visual inspection. It seems pretty clear to me that this guy was trying to sneak the $13.99 fee past me, which I find deplorable - I don't know how one could interpret the events differently. Under no circumstances would I recommend renting from this specific Avis location - customer trust and respect should be worth more than $14 bucks. Unfortunately, the response from Avis Corp. was underwhelming as well. While they credited back the amount in question, they also treated this issue as though I were at fault, saying "I apologize if you were unaware of this program." Of course, my awareness of this program is irrelevant since I returned the vehicle full of gas as required to avoid the charge. Not the kind of customer service I was expecting or hoping for.

    I ordered a car for a pick-up from the Wickliffe, Ohio location. I got there and they did not have…read morea car that I ordered, mind you, ordered 4 weeks in advance!!! The front desk man, the owner, stated if I wanted the type of car that I ordered that I had to drive one of his cars out to an airport and swap it out, which was 45 mins in the opposite direction which put me 1.5 hours + behind and missed a deadline. I have a preferred membership and do not expect this kind of service, I didn't when I used Enterprise, I will be transferring all of our company business to Enterprise! I have also put up with cars not clean and cars where the previous renter smoked in and or no gas. Enough is Enough!
