My new favorite car I've ever owned.
    William H.

Note: this is an updated 1 star review. I purchased a 2014 VW Sportwagen via financing and about a quarter of the cars worth in a down payment. My credit is what most banks like to call "very poor," but they gave me a better deal than I was expecting. Rory was very enthusiastic, and made sure to answer all my questions. I showed up around 8:15, and had the keys in my hand around 11. I pointed out a crack, in the windshield, and it was written in my contract that they'd replace the whole thing for me pro bono. There were a couple faults, in the car, that I didn't discover until my ride home but only minor cosmetic. I was told a "thorough inspection had been done on it, but I'm not entirely sure how thorough as the EPC light, and flashing CEL came on that same night. I took it back in, the next morning, and they sent me right next door to their service center and had it looked at. Turned out that just one of the spark plugs was misfiring. They went ahead and changed all of them out for me totally free of charge. Now I'm back to loving the car, and feeling good about my purchase. I would recommend checking them out, but I'd also recommend having your own inspection of the vehicle done before purchasing.

This dealership is very deceptive. They lied to us and refused to honor their "we owe" list. We are taking legal action on this business.

They say they don't care about bad credit but what they really mean is you need 2000 bucks to consider you.

I was and am still extremely impressed with the professionalism of this dealership. Drew worked with me from the beginning to make a fair offer on my trade and sell the new vehicle at a fair purchase price. He knew that I was driving several hours to meet and arranged to have all the paperwork ready at my arrival. There were no tricks, gimmicks, or surprises. They kept their word and honored all the agreements. Even the finance manager was understanding of my situation and made the process even easier. I have bought many cars over the years and recognize this is a top-notch operation. I will certainly return for my next purchase.

One week later they called to tell me my truck was in. Went there to find a truck they had got in, was NOT even close to what I wanted (told them green or gray) this was a basic white truck with ZERO options. Had to raise my voice at the salesman desk to get my $1000 back from the company. Go to Rodgers Toyota in Hermiston if you want to purchase. Been to Tri City dealership twice now trying to get service, seeing how I live here. Total failure both times, went this morning to get oil and tire rotation was told it would be 90 minutes or so if I wanted to wait, asked if I made appointment if would be shorter was told absolutely. Made appointment went back at time of appointment was told it would be 90 minutes at least due to the service department over booking. I will not be back to this business ever again. Complete waste of time.

Normally don't write Yelp reviews for car dealerships, but making an exception because one of the car guys (Steven? Stephen?... sorry forgot his first name but Mr. Huang the Asian car salesmen) was exceptionally helpful. At the other locations, I felt intense but subtle pressure to walk away with a purchase as if it was a crime against humanity if I didn't buy something that day. Stephen acted completely differently and gave me honest and real advice. He made me realize I should keep my current car for a little bit and see if it meets my needs, and only then, should I consider purchasing a new one. I didn't buy a car that day from any dealerships, but if I needed to in the future, I'm definitely making Lithia my first (and likely final) stop.

The dealership replaced the radiator, with warranty covering a bill of more than $1,000, and returned the Jeep to me--only for the problem to return a few miles down the road. This happened three times. Each time, I brought it back, and each time I was assured the issue had been repaired. Unfortunately, the Jeep overheated on every occasion, although I was fortunate to shut it down quickly each time. On the fourth inspection, coolant was found in the oil, and I was told the engine would need to be replaced. The dealership spent more than two months attempting to get the repair covered under warranty, but those efforts were unsuccessful. They eventually reduced the estimated cost from approximately $12,000 to around $4,000, voluntarily absorbing part of the expense. At that point, I simply didn't have the money to proceed. The Jeep was never repaired and was ultimately repossessed. I'm documenting everything because I believe this situation deserves a closer look. I have records, paperwork, and text messages documenting the repairs, repeated visits, and conversations throughout this process. I'm now saving toward consulting an attorney to determine what options I may have. I've owned 11 Jeeps over the years, and this experience has completely changed my confidence in the brand. A customer shouldn't be financially devastated because a vehicle repeatedly comes back from service with the same problem unresolved. I hope Jeep and the dealership take situations like this seriously. This experience has destroyed my faith in a brand I supported for years.

Car had some very minor damage to the rear tailgate spoiler. Manager was helpful in arranging the repair and ordered the part for us which we paid for upfront. The part was wrong and the body shop did an ok job dressing up the damage (without asking our permission), we had to pay for unauthorized repair work done by the body shop and we were left with the wrong part and told to sort it out yourself! We took it back to Chevy (McCurley) but they have a $100 restocking fee which we were charged. When I brought it up with the Manager at Alvarez all I got was abuse and the phone slammed down! (Interesting that someone else was having a similar response when we were looking at their cars!) Overall, if you want customer service go to McCurley, if you just want to buy a car from the lot and hope all is OK then Alvarez will work like any other backstreet car dealer. When McCurley heard how Alvarez treated us, they personally refunded us with the $100 out of their own pocket as good will (that's customer service!). *** ONE OF THE WORST EXPERIENCES I'VE HAD WITH A DEALERSHIP - A WHOLE WEEK WASTED FROM 180 MILES…read moreAWAY *** * THEY WILL REFUSE TO GET YOU FINANCED IF YOU DONT AGREE TO ADD-ONs (GAP, EXT WARRANTY, ETC) * They claim they can deliver your vehicle, but what they mean is they'll drive your car to you and rack up the miles on it. So depending on where you are, you'll get a vehicle with a couple hundred miles. They don't want to deliver, so they push you throughout the process to get yourself out there. Nowadays most dealerships sell nationwide and have a solid process for getting cars to their customers without racking up the odometer. * Doesn't matter what car you want, they probably won't sell it to you anyway, they'll push something that's fine with them. To get a bank approval, they will work a deal with any vehicle they can push to secure financing. I wanted a NEW white Mirage LE - they put the first deal together with what was presumably their service loaner car, a 2024 Mirage LE with about 1,800 miles on it. I told them which one I wanted from the get-go and they completely blew me off and pushed a deal for an approval with the complete opposite of what I was looking for. * SOME OF THE POOREST COMMUNICATION IVE EVER HAD. Once they FINALLY set up the deal you want with the vehicle you want (in my case on around the 3rd attempt), they'll take forever to "get an answer from the bank" and go dark for days on end. The whole time you don't know what the heck is going on, which completely disrupts your shopping process. I waited for days because these guys kept dangling the carrot in front of me, pretending they were going to be able to get the deal done. In that time I missed out on several other Mirage vehicles at other dealerships because I took these guys at their word. Literal waste of a week waiting on pins and needles, wondering if they would get things done like they said. * The salesman, Dylan, started off as such a nice guy. We even shared some personal experiences in our talks, only to turn out to be a complete disappointment!!! It's that typical M.O. of them being nice and communicative, as long as they think it's going to be an easy deal they can push. Once some obstacles or differences with the lender and/or customer pop up, they slowly start pulling away until they finally just leave you in the dark with ZERO communication on the final outcome, and no closure. I wouldn't have even been angry if they told me they couldn't make the deal work. In fact I would have thanked them for not wasting my time as that would then free me to explore other options. BUT that didn't happen, and in the end I had to move on to another option. * THEYRE A VOLUME DEALER, as they said to me several times. So the advertised prices are great, but you're going to pay for that by being forced to buy add-ons, sacrificing customer service and honesty. WHEN ITS ABOUT VOLUME SALES, EVERY CUSTOMER IS JUST ANOTHER NUMBER ON A SPREADSHEET - AND THEY CERTAINLY MAKE YOU FEEL LIKE IT. * On the second attempt, we had a deal verbally in place around Tuesday 8/12. I told them that I would be making arrangements to be there Thursday or Friday to pick up the vehicle and finalize the deal. The next day, Dylan reaches out and says they ended up selling the vehicle to someone else that morning. I was disappointed and let them know. A couple hours later I got a call from one of their sales managers, apologizing for the misunderstandings, and stating he would work on the deal himself to get everything set on another vehicle. I don't know if he did or not as he pawned me back off to Dylan and the lack of good communication continued. Later that week, the same thing happened again and they sold the other vehicle that took the place of the one I originally wanted. NOW REMEMBER YOURE IN THE DARK THE WHOLE TIME SO YOU DONT EVEN KNOW WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON BEHIND THE SCENES. This other failure was AFTER I had already made arrangements to get a ride out there to Kennewick from Portland. * On the morning of 8/14 is when I FINALLY got a call from Dylan where he told me that they weren't going to be able to help me finance the car with any of the banks they tried. I asked about other options and Dylan was pretty nonchalant about it, like when someone you're dating just loses interest and is trying to ghost you in the nicest way possible! I took the phone call while I was on the way to Gladstone Mitsubishi, here locally in the Portland Metro area. Within less than 2 hours at Gladstone, I was walking out with keys in hand for a brand new Mirage LE, at a better payment, interest rate and down payment amount than what Leskovar "TRIED" to do. If customer service, honesty and your time is important to you - DONT BOTHER WITH LESKOVAR. Their prices LOOK great, but you'll pay for it on the backend with a terrible car-buying experience and FORCED ADD-ONs - and that's IF they can even close your deal at all. - Alan T.
