So a nice lady puts my name and number on a piece of paper and clips it in a stack. I called on Thursday to make sure and it is rented to another person. They reserved it on Tuesday. I'm told there is nothing with my name or number. And so it's rented to this person. I am out. This is unacceptable but not correctable. Just perfect I spent the week lining up help, equipment and a vehicle to use. I have used Total Rental for almost 20 years and never treated like this. This is not professional but what do you care? You get paid. I have to pay for stuff I can't use and people that planned to help could have made other plans. This wouldn't suck if it was a minor project. Very disguised right not.

I had a great experience renting here…read more.. My project was replacing my water line in my front yard. To do this I needed to rent a trencher. I have rented similar trenching machines in the past but nothing that could go 36" deep like this machine. The renting process was pretty standard and uneventful. Star was the lowest price in town by far. Where the great experience comes into play is when I had a problem. The machine I rented tipped over and almost fell on me. They are a top heavy design by nature. This thing weighed about 2000lbs. I couldn't get the machine up needless to say. I called the rental place and they sent a guy out to assess the situation. After they figured out a plan to remove it they called.me. They had it out of my yard three hours later and hauled the trailer back. It was great as I didn't have to worry about figuring out a way to remove it. Gary the manager called and made sure everything was taken care of. They could have been a holes about the whole situation but we're not... they were cool about the whole thing. Thanks guys!

when I picked up a log splitter the experience was good. the price was good. I picked it up right…read morebefore they closed for an early start in the morning. when looked over the splitter before leaving there is a pin that holds the splitter in place for travel. the keeper that keeps the pin in place could not be the original. on the way home the fastener that keeps the keeper in place came off causing the splitter to stand up while driving. I stopped I fixed. the Splitter worked ok. When I returned the splitter I let the guy behind the counter was very rude especially when I told him about the pin coming loose. He said they never had a problem before. I told him that there was no way it was the OEM locking system. He irritated that they never had a problem. on my way out I looked at another splitter that was the same and it had another jury rigged keeper but different. The hours of operation is another reason I will never use them again. I went there because the cost was cheaper than Home Depot. They close much earlier this means the cost is much more over all because operating hours. Home Depot 125.00. Johnson Creek rentals 175.00 advertised price less but it costs more and equipment is old and safety of equipment is not a concern judging by the person that checked me out. I was hoping to use a smaller more local company when I went to Johnson Creek rental.

He suggested that I tampered with the hitch after I pulled out of the site in an attempt to get money from him. His insurance company denied my claim as I signed a waiver for any potential damage to my car. His trailer hitch mechanism failed and its my fault. Avoid this scum bag and his garbage equipment. Reading his reviews this isn't an isolated event. Low morals and not value of repeat customers.
