Jorge and his crew have been to our house twice now and they are amazing. They hung 3 chandeliers, moved sconce locations on our wall and installed an outdoor ceiling fan where there was no junction box or electricity (they ran it down from an existing light) all in about 6 hours and couldn't have done a better job. I worked with Dave throughout my entire carpet process. I reached out to several companies and Excel was the cheapest option. Even though it was the cheapest of the companies I called it had excellent service and carpet options. I also found this company through a quick Yelp search. Dave invited me to come out to their store and view the different carpet options. While there I chose several​ options I liked and he gave me the pricing for each option. I was buying new flooring for a house I was buying. He was willing to work with my agent so that he could go in the house and get accurate measurements​. We love Excel Carpet. Recently we replaced our family room carpet. They came out with plenty of samples for us to choose from. We also could have visited their showroom if had wanted to see more. We selected our carpet and they installed it yesterday. It's more beautiful than we imagined. The installers did a great job, and cleaned up afterwards. We needed to have carpet installed in our family room and needed to have it done rather quickly due to guests arriving for the weekend. I did not want the hassle of going to a store and wanted a company that specializes in "in home" consults. I had recently had a bad experience with another in home company that did not deliver during their initial presentation so I was really "on guard". I chose Excel because of their Kudzu ratings. Josh arrived at my home on time and in his company uniform. He was a home owner's dream, (pleasant, articulate, knowledgeable, nothing creepy about this guy). I appreciated the professionalism. He was "ready to go". He gave a great presentation and was able to answer all of my questions. I was able to receive an estimate before he left my home and he also assured me that the install could be completed within the next two days. The guys who arrived worked cleanly and efficiently, without disrupting anything in the home. After the install, I was concerned that the carpet looked darker than anticipated, ( I was warned of this by Jason), and instead of saying too bad, Jason offered to have his men return and replace the carpet with a lighter shade, in order to satisfy his customer. Well, there was no way that I could have allowed him to do this because Excel had executed the task perfectly and this was simply MY issue. I am glad that I did not change the carpet because after all of the furnishings were returned to the room, everything looked great! This was almost three years ago and this carpet, (in our well traveled family room), still looks like new. Best of all, the price for the install was $500 less than the competitor's estimate. We were long overdue for a carpet update and decided to go with Excel Carpet and Flooring after reading all the great reviews :-) Dave came out for an estimate and brought a few samples with him. He was very knowledgable, professional and pleasant to work with. The estimate was reasonable so we locked in on having the entire home carpeted which included a second floor. I couldn't quite decide on a color that day so Dave had a few samples mailed to me the same week. On install day the crew arrived on time and ready to work. They were great, worked hard, nonstop and were very careful and considerate when it came to moving around our furniture. The entire job took about a full work day (7.5 hrs) to complete and was well worth every hour spent. The carpet looks so good! I'm glad Excel lived up to their name and promise. It's amazing what new carpet can do - it feels like a new place. My only small critique is that we kinda lost contact after the job was completed. It would've been nice to get a follow up call or email just to see how the install went & if it was to our satisfaction. One of the installers left his hammer, I called and emailed the main office to see if someone wanted to come and get it but no response so I guess it's our hammer now ^_^ All in all the entire job was a great experience and I definitely wouldn't hesitate to recommend them and do business with them again. Highly recommended. We had about 1400 square feet of carpet replaced, including 2 staircases, and Excel was 40% less expensive than our quote from Empire for comparable carpet. Great job on the installation, professional/courteous installation team and sales, and they actually sent a hand written thank you note after the installation. Said they'd arrive between 9 am and 10 am and they arrived at 9 on the nose (the sales person who gave us the quote was also right on time). Great job cleaning up after themselves as well. He was professional, on time, and delivered quality work. That's just the beginning. I must admit that we we were not the easiest customers to deal with.However, when it came down to it, he showed that he valued our business and that he cared. THAT is what says it all. In such an entitled society, to be grateful is no understatement. I have to believe that Josh, being human (LOL) and all..., he had to be totally annoyed with us and probably even pretty frustrated. Still, he did not waver in delivering excellent customer service and remained calm and professional. He dealt with our concerns just like a true leader in a company should. If you have to get carpet, go here! The team is professional, friendly and knowledgeable. Dave, the measurer, came to our place and measured each room twice. We joked and said, "measure twice and cut once"! Later that day, we went to the store to pick out our carpet. We had never done that before so Josh walked us through it. He answered all our questions and we learned so much. The question that we really appreciated was if we were selling soon or staying. When we said we were staying we were taking to a better quality carpet! Makes sense now, but at the time we thought that was the most important question he asked us. There was no pressure to buy and I looked at just about everything until I decided on what I wanted. When it came to picking colors, I picked 5 samples. No questions and no hesitations. That allowed me to pick the best color for our rooms. When it was time to install, they showed up on time. First thing was to pull up and remove the old carpet. Then they cut and brought in the new. Being curious about the whole process, they let me watch and ask a thousand questions. They did our 2 bedrooms in about 3 hours. We LOVE the result. We used Excel Carpet Flooring to install new carpeting in our finished basement in August 2013. Dave was the sales rep who showed us just what we needed and well within our price range. He was knowledgeable, friendly and not at all pushy. We spent a little more than $2,000 for 1,250 sq feet. It was installed perfectly. They even came back a few days later because of a temporary water problem we had in our basement and finished the last part of the job without any additional charge to us. For the price, quality and service, I'd use them again in a heartbeat. read more

Absolute nightmare. Installers don't know what they're doing. And if you have a problem Excel will do everything in their power to try to wiggle out of any ownership of the problem. We have been trying to get an installation problem corrected for two years. Excel won't budge or do anything to properly resolve the issue. Their favorite tactic is to respond to anything negative with lies and excuses and a "claim" that they have tried to resolve the issue. It's all lies. There is an obvious tone of their need to "win" over their desire to resolve an issue with a client. And "winning" for Excel is to keep the money honest people have paid to them and turn out a lousy product with lousy installation. We've had a lot of work done by many different companies in our home. By FAR this is the worst we have ever dealt with and over such a small sum of money. Don't walk people ...
