Carpet isn't a cheap investment, and frankly I haven't ever been a big fan of carpeting. This changed when I came across Enhance Floors. My issues with carpeting were numerous. First I have 2 big dogs and our last home's carpet seemed to absorb their scent. It also seemed perpetually stained with Georgia clay foot traffic patterns. Additionally, I'm an allergy sufferer, and it always felt like my old carpet locked in the pollen. And finally, when we finished our basement we bought new carpeting from Lowe's and every time I stepped on it I'd hear this plastic sound. I'm not sure if they screwed up the installation or if the carpet pad just sounded squeaky. In any case, I wasn't a fan. I wanted hardwood and my husband insisted on carpet because he preferred the warm feel, and argued it would better muffle the running around of our rambunctious 5yo and 3yo. He won the argument with the caveat that I got to pick the carpeting. I scoped out the selection at Lowe's, and called Empire. Friends warned me that Empire might be fast but they used hard sell tactics (offers only good for 24hrs, etc.) which provides little opportunity for comparison shopping. My mom had also used them and found the quality disappointing. I spent weeks researching carpeting and installation. I learned that most carpeting companies outsource installation, and that this isn't often covered in their warranties or those warranties are very limited. Then I found Enhance Floors and was impressed with the selection of carpet options and the outstanding installation warranty they offered in addition to the extensive warranty Mohawk offered on the materials. I chose a newer product - Mohawk's Aero - which is hypoallergenic, doesn't stain and doesn't absorb odor. The product is synthetic and environmentally friendly (fully recyclable) and has a built-in felt-like pad that is cushy and breathable so you can suck up allergens when vacuuming. And the texture of the carpet is gorgeous and super soft. The color selection was beautiful too, and we chose "Longhorn" which looks lovely in our home. I never thought I'd love carpeting and I adore this product! Aero has a 10year materials warranty through Mohawk, and Enhance offers a lifetime installation warranty. The business is locally owned and the owner himself comes out to do measurements. Installation is professional, and they are responsive if concerns arise (they even came back to do an odd bathroom closet that had been missed). Pricing was also very fair - well worthy the added peace of mind, professionalism and exceptional quality. I believe they offer 12mo interest free financing too. I was able to get limited time 15mos interest free financing through Mohawk (on special promo from time to time) and Enhance honors that as an authorized dealer. The only drawback is that it can take a couple weeks to schedule your quote. It's well worth it though, so be patient. I highly recommend this company! I'd definitely advise checking out their showroom to decide what type of product best fits your requirements. Some of their carpets actually come with 20yr materials warranties! Crazy. And one last thing... I mentioned my 3yo and 5yo. We've had spilled milk and juice and it actually beads up on the surface of the Aero carpet (won't absorb or stain)... it's the easiest thing to clean up yet somehow miraculously super soft. I desperately needed new carpet in my two bedrooms. I contacted Enhance after reading reviews for several other companies and I remembered that I knew one of the owners through another connection. I also loved that it is a local company and not a chain. I emailed the owner, Elisabeth, to ask about their procedure. I made an appointment and went in shortly thereafter to look at their carpet selections. It was a pretty easy process once I made my choice. Elisabeth was great at helping me select a pet friendly but still stylish option. An appointment was made for measuring and to get a quote. I received my quote within 48 hours of measuring. I like that they offer financing options as well. The two men that installed my carpet were very courteous and they did a great job. They also fixed all of the squeaks in my floors. I could not have been more pleased with how well Enhanced Floors installed my engineered hardwood flooring and stair retro treads. I priced out several different companies and decided to go with Enhanced primarily because during the in home consultation Don (the owner) explained in detail the mechanics of why certain options would and would not work without me having to ask (virtually never happens with contractors). I had a few very specific construction questions which he answered thoroughly, and when he casually mentioned OSHA requirements when discussing stair tread height I knew he was more than just a flooring installer (later found out he is a general contractor) and that he would do the scope right the first time (no redos). Installers did a great job. All cutting was done outside so there was no dust inside the house. All the mess inside was cleaned up. They even cut and installed some new boards when i pointed out they were not close enough to the wall The only issue i had is the company said they would reinstall the pedestal sink but they did not. The installers said they were not plumbers. I had to reinstall it myself. read more

The only thing that this company is professional in is: "WASTING YOUR TIME!!!!!" I "Thought" that I was calling a professional flooring company..."NOT" I wanted and needed a company to give my husband and I guidance and knowledge with regards to our old house's differing sub-floor issues. I was told that their procedure is to have me visit their showroom and make "my" selections and "Then" they would send someone to measure. I followed their process and spent 2 1/2 hours selecting flooring, countertops, back splashes and even balusters for my stairs. When I called and said I was ready for an estimator, the first thing they asked in a somewhat accusatory tone, was; "Have you already come in and made your selections!?!" I was told that they needed to locate my file and that they'd call me back in few minutes.... TWO days later they left a message to call them back. When I called back I was told that there's no way that they could get to me for several weeks because: "Now that business is picking up, we're just too busy!" ????????? Additionally, had they listened to me and noted that I had leveling and sub-floor issues, they could have advised me that there are certain products that just will not work in my home! Same can be said off their professionalism or LACK thereof!!! It turns out that the products that I chose cannot be implemented in my home. Had they made a home visit, as I requested, they would have known that. "IF" THEY KNEW FLOORING AND INSTALLATION that is????!!! At best this company can ONLY be considered a kiosk of pretty home enhancements, NOT FLOORING PROFESSIONALS!!!!!! Only use this company for flooring if you yourself know all about what will work.... We found Enhance Floors & More kind of by accident, but checked into them, saw good overall reviews, and got a quote for carpet over 625 square foot and sheet vinyl for a kitchen in a 1953 house. We couldn't be happier with the whole experience: from the sales guy who we originally spoke to, to the gentleman who came out to measure and bring samples, to the owner and the office folks, to the installers- everyone has been great to deal with and we felt that the prices were very reasonable. I feel like I should write two reviews but this is an average for both projects Enhance did for us. Five years ago we got all new carpet and hardwoods for our house. The installers were very professional and the new flooring looked great. Only complaint is that every carpet needs to be stretched at this point and their warranty doesn't cover this unless we've had carpets cleaned once every 18 months! Who does that? Ok, this year we also hired Enhance to re-model our master bath. I knew what I wanted so I did not use a designer - my mistake. I knew Enhance didn't have a designer but didn't think that would matter. So I have only myself to blame if the final design wasn't exactly what I wanted. That said, I was not happy with some of the subs that Enhance used. The tile work, for example was sloppy, although another crew did come and fix one of the issues. Finally, I never got a follow-up call or email or letter asking if we were satisfied with our experience or their work. Not very professional in my opinion. Probably won't use this company again. read more

Great service and selection! We were moving into a new home and had a tight and unusual timeline to get the rooms and stairs measured, carpet chosen, ordered, and laid before our furniture arrived. Enhance worked with us every step of the way! They went out of their way to be flexible with timing, assisted us in making a great choice (if left to my own devices, I would hav made a regrettable color choice!), and executed a quality installation. Enhance even made sure we were aware of a promotion to help us save money. They have followed up frequently to ensure that our initial positive experience has been maintained. This was hands down the worst customer service I have experienced when dealing with home projects. Two small flooring jobs that were planned around 3 visits ended up taking the whole summer and 7 visits. I spent weeks with my furniture in disarray and concrete floors. The job was not planned properly even though I kept reminding them of the details. For both jobs, they did not order enough materials. While the crew was polite and the flooring turned out fine, they were not careful. They broke things, spilled floor filler on personal items, broke a door etc. Maybe they were super busy, because they couldn't even keep their customers straight...they called me once thinking I was someone else. One of the carpet guys took off for several hours in the middle of the job, and the other guy couldn't finish by himself, which led to yet another visit. Nobody told me that was the plan. Ridiculous. Debra, the scheduler, was a big part of the problem. She did not care, did not listen, and gave me the wrong information. It became my second part time job to follow up with her. I think I would still be looking at concrete if left up to her. read more

This is a great store with great people to help you. I bought an older home and I needed to update everything. I went to the store and got excellent help in picking out carpet, wood and tile for my house. I did the work in several stages, and the master decorating plan (colors, etc.) we came up with at the beginning turned out exactly like I dreamed it would. It looks awesome, like a brand new home! We highly recommend using Enhance Floors & More for remodeling your home. They installed hardwood floors in our entire downstairs, installed granite countertops and backsplash in our kitchen, and painted our kitchen cabinets. They also cut down our kitchen bar to countertop height and installed a deeper sink in the kitchen. The whole experience was a pleasure. The salespeople were helpful and listened to us. We replaced hardwoods in our kitchen and playroom. At the same time, we made the decision to remove all carpet in the downstairs of our home. Everything went very smoothly from the beginning. The workers that removed the carpet and old hardwood and putting down the new hardwood were wonderful. They were polite, timely and worked hard while doing the job. Some of the subflooring was not level and the workers kept us informed. Then they contacted the office who in turn talked with us before replacing the subflooring. Worst experience I have ever encountered. Obtained multiple quotes to refinish +2300 square ft plus stairs. They were fair price, decent reputation on google reviews. I contracted them with a 50 Percent deposit to schedule a start date. One week prior to scheduled commence date, Debra, from their office, calls me to confirm start date. I asked if we would start with stairs or floor. She states that on email for quote, they cannot do the stairs. the quote does not include stairs. I ask that we cancel the job, i cannot do the floors and not the stairs. remit my deposit and we all move on. For three days, i try to obtain my deposit, I made 8 calls, says she has to verify with manager and get back to me. Crickets... I was not going to loose that deposit of +$5000. I called them and state that since deposit cannot be returned, lets move forward and do the floors, ill find someone to do the stairs. Mike, their subcontract, comes in and does a good job prepping and staining. From the color perspective, and the look i want to obtain, i'm told i have to do a water-base finish as to not yellow the color. I'm told its $150 per gallon of waterbase, tells me i'm getting a good price, (Bona Mega Clear HD, he needs 16 Gallons. Upcharge of $2300. (He used less than 10 Gallons) I don't have a choice, I want that look. Mike lays the clear and does a great job. I look at the product he's installing, and find it at Home Depot for $74.98 per gallon. Half of what i was told with no credit for the Poly value. I know i made some bad decision in this process, but my worst one was to hire Enhance Floors to do my house. I have all receipts, conversations on video to support this review. read more

This is the third time I have used Enhance Floors to install real hardwood floors in my house. The first time they did my master bedroom ,half bath and re-finished 15 year old floors in my foyer, kitchen and hallways.. It was stunning. Made me think I had a new house again. The second time a few years later I had them install hard woods in my formal living room. Beautiful! Two months ago I had them pull up the old carpet in the den and install new hardwoods and it is absolutely breath taking. They are one of the few business I have found where they show up on time; do what they say they are going to do; Clean up behind themselves and make sure you are satisfied before you give them the final payment. ( they ask for a deposit of half the payment up front ). It's rare that I take time to write any reviews, but I have really been impressed with the friendliness and craftsmanship of this business. Real hardwoods, installed, sanded and stained. Out in two days! Trustworthy workers too. They are great. Thank you for making my main floor look like a new house. Terrible customer service with the sales person and the owner did make things any better. The sales person came out and when I tried to ask him questions about thickness of padding he kept debating with me that padding wasn't measured by "thickness" and after I mentioned that the other companies that came out for quotes gave me a measurement so I could confirm which size padding was being used he said "you mean like 3/16 or 7/18"...and I said yes with a chuckle and said why couldn't you just give me that info all along if you knew what I was referring to instead of being so difficult? There were a couple other instances during the visit that were like this as well when he didn't seem to want to answer questions I was asking but wanted to seem more like a know-it-all. The guy got completely frustrated picked up the carpet samples and left like a child. I contacted the the office to let them know about this, spoke with a woman there who said the owner woudl call me back - no call of course, then sent an email in and then the owner replied that no one told her I had called (which I don't believe, the woman I spoke with I spoke with several times in past and was quite responsive and competent - otherwise the owner is telling me her employees are not just that) and then said something to the sort of that sometimes personalities clash, she only has that one sales person and good luck with my carpet search.
