My concerns are with two issues:…read more 1. I received a voicemail asking me to confirm my appointment and informing me that my insurance had been terminated. I have been seen at this facility before using my current insurance, so they already had the correct information on file. I'm not sure why an old insurance policy was being verified instead of the one they have used for my previous visits. 2. My biggest concern is the turnaround time for results. I had my exam on Saturday and was told I have to wait a full week for the results. Considering the number of Centerlake Imaging locations, I would expect enough radiologists to read exams in a more timely manner. I have previously gone to Hill Imaging, where results are typically available within 24 hours or less. Emanate Health also provides results within 24 hours or less. Waiting a week for imaging results causes unnecessary anxiety and seems unreasonable when other imaging centers are able to provide much faster turnaround times.

After waiting another 10 minutes, I was told I could not be seen because I was checked in after my appointment time. I explained I had arrived on time, but the delay was due to limited front desk coverage. I was then told I would still be seen, but ended up waiting over an hour for my appointment. During that time, the receptionist left for lunch with a sign on the desk stating she would return at 10:30 a.m. leaving no one at the front desk. I had to ask a technician in the office for help. He went to the back and brought the lead Anna, to the front after I explained I had already been waiting over an hour. I was told it would be an additional 15 minutes because the technician was still with another patient from Anna. After waiting the additional time, I followed up again and was told I was next from Maria the receptionist. However, when the technician, Claudia came out she was instructed by the receptionist Maria, to take me in but Claudia refused and said she had another patient first (mind you this patient just checked in and only waiting less then 5 min) even though I had already been waiting. I then requested to speak with a manager, but was told Anna was on a call. I asked for someone above her and was given Fabiola Mora's the directors contact information, which I used to reach out and am currently waiting for a response. This entire experience was extremely unprofessional and disorganized. As someone who also works in medical operations, the lack of communication, staffing, and respect for patients time was unacceptable. Patients are instructed to arrive early, yet appointments are not being managed properly or honored in a timely manner.

A few days later, I received a letter from Huntington-Hill Breast & Imaging Centers saying I needed additional imaging and to call their number to schedule. Naturally, that was stressful to read -- getting a callback after a mammogram is scary. But when I tried to follow the instructions, their phone/AI system was awful to get through. After being transferred around and spending way too much time on hold, I was finally told that they don't even do the test the letter told me to schedule there. Instead, I had to call my doctor to be referred somewhere else. This made no sense to me. Why send a letter directing patients to call you to schedule if you can't actually perform the recommended imaging? It feels careless, especially considering how stressful breast health follow-ups already are. To make matters worse, when I spoke to a staff member, she said she had no control over the letters. I get that it's not her fault personally, but the system is broken -- and patients end up paying the price in stress and wasted time. Overall, the in-person visit was fine, but the communication and phone experience were really disappointing. If you're going to send out official medical letters, they need to be accurate and align with what your office can actually provide.

There are some hand sanitizers available for patients to use. This place is open and available with limited capacity. They are sanitizing in between patients. I mention these things in my reviews for the sake of protecting immunocompromised people like the elderly and people sick with cancer and other illnesses. COVID-19 Vaccination Proof: This establishment currently does not require proof of vaccination. While I was here in this establishment several days ago, I asked if they had any special offers and they weren't offering any at the moment. They also do not allow pets in their establishment UNLESS it's a service animal. Parking: The parking lot for this establishment is pretty big, but the lot does get full very quickly since they share the lot with a lot of medical offices. Some parking spots are smaller than others, so watch out! Establishment: The establishment itself is very clean, neat, tidy, and organized. Staff: The staff here are very friendly, welcoming, informative, and funny. Seriously, from the receptionists to the MRI techs, everyone was phenomenal. I like how the MRI techs walk you through what you'll experience before the exam starts. They also have a changing room / locker room for you to change and leave your stuff in. They have a nice mini waiting room inside with a bathroom and water dispenser once you exit the main waiting room. They accept both cash and credit cards. There is no credit card minimum, but they charge 3% if you use your credit card.

The office is clean and the scan is fast. The techs are nice and helpful. While I was there I spotted a flyer for an AI mammogram scan. I was told you can bring in your scan or do it there and pay $40 to run it through AI to scan and detect cancer. I definitely will be utilizing this service. I'm at risk for breast cancer and have to be tested every 6 months and this service would be a game changer for an earlier diagnosis. Once I do the service I will update my review.

This facility staff couldn't be bothered to pick up a phone one time during the 2 years to follow-up with me regarding my bill. I called them, they said we owe them money because our insurance denied their claim. I called insurance to find out why it was denied, and they said they never received the claim submittal. I refused to play the back-and-forth game, and did a three-way call between this facility and my insurance. The billing supervisor Gus insists he submitted the paperwork while the insurance company insists they never received it. Regardless, the insurance company strong-armed Gus into agreeing that this was something between the insurance company and themselves, and that we shouldn't be billed for their mistake (bill to wrong address, no claim submittal or wrongfully denied). It took up several hours of my time and multiple explanations of the same thing to different people, but I thought this was cleared. A few days ago (Feb 2025), I received another notice from collections. I called them to explain that this should have been dropped, and they immediately play hard-ball, insisting that I pay or they'll take me to court. I finally ask the "right" question - who do I need to talk to in order to get this dropped. Turns out Gus has to call them to drop this. I contact my insurance again, they tell me to ask Gus for proof of the insurance claim submittal. I call Gus again to ask for the proof, and he still insists he submitted the paperwork, but I'm guessing he can't find a copy of it (probably never even did it) and finally tells me that he will contact collections to get this dropped. Not once during any of this was there an apology for the inconvenience and waste of my time.
