I brought my daughter in for nausea, vomiting, and she fainted. The front desk staff was very rude. The nurse never introduced herself, wash her hands, or explain what medications she was putting into my daughter's IV. The radiologist technician came to get my daughter without any explanation of what imaging they were doing and why. The worst beside manner! I was advised that my daughter had a viral infection but was prescribed an antibiotic, the dr didn't even tell me he was prescribing one. You can't treat a virus with an antibiotic, and I'm not the medical professional and even I know this! What a joke! My daughter came here on July 26, 2020. She was told that the Covid test results would be back within 3-5 business days! What day are we? August 4th and guess what? NO RESULTS! Do not come here for Covid testing. Please save yourself the time. Go to Crosby, where my husband got his results within 3 days! Also, you can tell that they have the lowest class of staff there. I am always nervous about ER and heard several negative stories from many people and on yelp. Initially, we had an appointment between 11 and 12, and we go there at 11:30. We waited for registration, and luckily no one was there, so we decided to stay inside the waiting room, of course with the masks on. Jannet was at the counter, and she welcomed us with her kind smile. I like her polite response to our paperwork, and that's what you need when you nervous and sitting in the Emergency room. Right! After 10 mins she told us that our medicine would be ready at three pm. Since we live far, but she apologizes for the inconvenience. The way she handles this situation, I was delighted. Things can happen on our side too, and I could have missed or something can happen to me again. We told her no worries; it's 12 o clock, and we will be back by three pm. Again there is something about the time it's flying, and with a positive attitude, we can work out with each other. We all went back at 3 pm, and the place was a little crowded, but since we registered in the morning, they have our paperwork ready. Of course, Jannet was there, and she welcomed us again. There was another kind nurse Monique who was giving shots was very friendly and sweet. I can't believe I was in the emergency and everyone was so organized and professional. I have never in my life experienced the life saving professionalism and kindness in an ER that I experienced here on 5/4/21. THESE PEOPLE ACTING SO QUICKLY AND THOROUGHLY LITERALLY SAVED MY LIFE! I had covid pneumonia with blood clots in my lungs and without their running tests like they were losing their minds I probably would have died. I took my wife to the urgent care this morning because she's having a shooting pain on the side of her head and the urgent care doctor said she needed to go to the ER to get a CT scan. So we go to the ER in our neighborhood because the insurance said they could do everything and the cost wouldn't be much different from going to a big hospital. Tell me she doesn't get back there and this doctor is shaming her for doing what the other doctor explicitly told her to do. He told her, "there are people worse off than you, this is an ER! No crap, that's why we came you moron. Do we look like the type of people who go to the ER for dumb reasons? We have great insurance, not living off the government, we can afford this. If the doctor thought it could wait until we could get a doctors appointment we would have! I mean you have the other doctor's order right there in front of you! I guarantee he would've kept that to himself had they allowed me back there with her. What else should I expect from an ER in Northshore?! So they send my wife home with a scrip for antibiotic ear drops(AFTER TELLING HER SHE DIDN'T HAVE AN EAR INFECTION!)Tylenol 3 and something else after giving her a steroid shot. Also gave her some lyrica which is for nerve pain. While she was there she researched and found a thing called Trigeminal Neuralgia, a nerve disorder which explains everyone of her symptoms and even mentions the fact they're studying it to see if it's linked to past shingles cases which she's had twice. He said she doesn't have anything the article she found says. It literally explains everything! He said if it is that it will get much worse. Like that matters at this point, we just want a diagnosis. Also told her to follow up with an EMT. WHY FOOL? YOU ALREADY SAID SHE DOESNT HAVE AN EAR INFECTION. Does it make sense to say you don't have an ear infection and then prescribe a patient ear drops for a middle ear infection, or nerve medicine for something you say isn't nerve related? I would say this doctor at Excellence ER on Wallisville is anything but EXCELLENT! This fool needs to go back for some refresher courses. read more

Went here with my husband after he fell from his bike and was cut with sharp metal. I was pretty worried about an infection setting in so we rushed to the closest ER. Glad we found this place, the staff here was extremely friendly and helpful! Thank you for easing our worries! My husband checked out fine, and is doing much better now. Avoid this place. The kid that takes your weight and blood pressure thinks he's a Doctor. Probably should go back to emptying bed pans which is more his speed. The real doctor missed an object in my eye and that is why I was there in the first place. Went elsewhere the next morning when it was still hurting and it was found immediately. Zero stars. The staff was extremely unwelcoming. It's 3:30am I get it but if someone is coming into your facility at this hour they already feel terrible. I brought my son here because he not feeling well. Marissa walked in to waiting room to receive my chart. I was the only one in there so common sense I was to be seen. She gave no greeting or welcome. Next was Pam who pretty much had the same attitude. Unknowingly, I answered a question incorrectly during their question process and Pam became agitated when I told her I misunderstood and corrected myself. She then went back to exchange to another medicine. Soon after Dr. Hussein came in. I only know his name because I had to ask him when leaving the place. He also gave no greeting or welcoming or showed any signs of caring. I made Hussein aware that his accent was hard to understand when talking too fast. Again he didn't care and rambled on with his questions. Every time I tried to answer his questions he would cut me off before I finished to go on to the next question. He mumbled something about another room and walked off. I figured out he wanted me in another room and followed him in the direction he headed. I almost passed the room he was in because he nor his staff gave any direction. He pretty much accused me of being a bad person for not contacting my sons pediatrician for a cold. My son is 21 months only child and I ran him to his pediatrician a million times to get a hold on knowing a little what to do. My sons fever threw me off this night so I went into this emergency facility. When I asked him about the consultation he started on about how he is not the owner but Pam came back into the room and correctly addressed my question. My husband just went there with an insect bite on his hand and the Nigerian doctor looked at it for 2 seconds and walked out the room to return with a prescription he said may or may not work. No examination, no trying to take the poison out, nothing. How is this place even considered an emergency room and where are these so called doctors getting their PhD's? I have only been here 2 times but I have never found doctors much less nurses that actually listen to the patient they made it very comfortable for me considering that I dont trust doctors at all from past experiences have left me asking are there any doctors left that really enjoy helping instead of just charging a patient and not giving a crap about that person well here they have made me feel there is hope for doctors and made me feel at ease very up front as well as caring I feel this society still exists with compassion and care thank you to everyone nurses and more to the doctors for being kind and understanding I appreciate for just giving me that ease I've been looking for wish the doctors had offices and not just the emergency room I know I would be the 1st to recommend to everyone this type of service is not found everywhere but excellence emergency room on wallisville so worth going to feel like they brought service, care,understanding and most all respect back thank you just for giving me that hope I needed.
